The Glen Club Review

Great public golf course. A Tom Fazio designed course. Plus it is right by the Glen so you can get great dinner and drinks after a long round in the sun. I try and play here once a month with my wife. She plays regularly with her friends. Sometimes it is hard to believe it is a public course it is so well kept and nice! I only with my golf game was better so I could enjoy more than just the great scenery! Very reasonable price for the quality. Great bang for your buck! Don't miss this public course if you have tried the others in the area like Wilmette or Winnetka. This course is on par or better than those courses (my opinion only of course, full disclosure: I love both those courses as well)

We are having our wedding here. It is amazing with the amount of service they provide. Michael is the best coordinator and is not trying to up-sell you. He wants your day to be everything you expect - perfect. He provides recommendations that make sense and is very prompt in replying to your questions/emails. Better book quickly because this place fills up ASAP. The bridal suite is huge, and has an awesome balcony. We can't wait to get married here!!! They are very accommodating with food tasting, supplying a wedding cake vendor (included in the price), and are working to make our 140 guests feel comfortable. Not to mention they can support a 12 piece swing band!!! June 1st, 2018 - here we come!!! #teamsartino

Attended a wedding here and my boyfriend played golf. Beautiful course and clubhouse!

Not a bad place to host a small gathering, though it's a little pricier than some other places.

Attended a wedding reception in the ballroom and terrace. It could not have been better. Beautiful view over the golf course.

Service was fantastic. Golf course was in good condition, but greens fees were outrageously high. 185 per golfer on a weekday.

The Glen Club is home to an excellent Tom Fazio designed parkland layout that contains a wealth of wonderfully crafted, memorable and challenging holes. Fazio's sculpting of the course involved the creation of dramatic elevation changes up to 40 feet in some cases, as well as the addition of mature trees, meandering lakes and flowing streams. 75 acres of prairie grass now flows through the layout.

Friendly, attentive service. Good variety on the menu. We love the cheeseburger!

Food was good, service was very poor. Waiter didn't check on us, we would gave ordered another bottle of wine but he didn't check on us!!!

The nicest public golf course in the area! Course is always in great condition. A tough challenge for any handicap, especially when the wind is howling.

Best kept secret. Picture a private golf course isolated from the world with a clubhouse with 21 guest rooms. The course design was inspired so you would never know your in flat country. Check it out and you will be delighted you did.

Attended a wedding here, the location was beautiful and the food was excellent. If I were to ever book an event in the northwest suburbs, I'd strongly consider The Glen Club.

Wait staff in restaurant had better things to do then wait on their tables. Lacking not only in service but worse in attitude.

Ok fine. Do I get any benefits. This is not the first time I stayed with Hampton Inn but to my surprise it's beautiful, friendly environment in this location. Keep it up and Hat's off for manager and the rest of staff

$100 + is a hefty price-tag, but the course is of a championship caliber. Tricky, quick greens combined with a smattering of water hazards makes this a hard course for the average golfer. Better golfers will appreciate the challenge, and the average golfer will appreciate the course layout, conditioning and country-club feel. Staff was extremely polite and professional, and our starter was great. Pace of play is enforced, something I really appreciate as an ex-ranger. The group in front of us slowed down play, and were subsequently asked to skip a hole. We also received a personal apology from the ranger, and pace of play was great after that.

Very nice place, and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Would recommend for anyone looking to his an event.

Attended for a fundraising gala. The food and service were mediocre. The creme brulee was not cooked all the way and people at the table were waiting for almost 15 minutes for their food while others had already been served. The room is also on the small side, best for events with less than 100 guests if you want to have a dance floor.

Clean rooms. Fancy decour. Almost the Barry Romm of hotels.

We were at The Glen Club for a wedding reception and it was fantastic! The appetizers, dinner, the ballroom and the staff were all great!

A delicious Mother's Brunch with a gorgeous view of the golf course, beautifully-arranged tables and courteous staff. The club is immaculate and tastefully decorated. The one small downside was that the staff was a bit slow to have the buffet utensils ready; we wandered around aimlessly for awhile, not able to serve ourselves.

Great rooms, great food and great service. What more would you ask for.

It is only okay. Definitely had higher expectations than they did. People in the hallway beginning at 10:30pm and going past midnight being loud when you have to be up early for a meeting is unacceptable. I'm disappointed to say the least.
