Wasn't as satisfied with food choices as previous visits. And waiter was almost non-existent for most of our meal. Had to ask manager for drink refills. Only thing waiter was quick with was bringing the check.

Such a cute place. Oysters were cold and fresh and i liked that they had a couple varieties to choose from. Had the rack of lamb which may have been the best i ever had. And they have a kids menu too. So it wad great for everyone.

Very dissatisfied. Restaurant looks great but food was mediocre. I ordered broccoli rabe and shrimp pasta. Was served rubbery shrimp and only broccoli rabe stems. Terrible. The appetizers were served 15 minutes apart! I ordered a glass of wine with my dinner but it was served after the meal. I refused it.

I am glad I had a gift certificate and did not spend too much of my own money. Will never go back.

The best restaurant in the area! It's a go-to spot for us for special occasions or just a night out. The menu changes all the time and I'm always curious to see what's new. It's a battle between ordering an old favorite or trying something new.

A lot of folks at work enjoy the Gladstone Tavern, but I find the food, although tasty, over priced and the service slow. For business lunches when the sales guy is picking up the tab, I don't mind going. But for my money and time, there are other local establishments that I prefer.

Waitress was good. Appetizers were good. Kids meals were good. Very good french fries. Ordered the chicken dish for dinner and was not impressed at all. Chicken was good, but not a fan of the veggies. It had carrots, brussel sprouts, and something else chopped up. Carrots were the only ones I ate. Brussel sprouts were super bitter. Not sure if I'd go back.

The perfect stop for a bite to eat after a fall afternoon hiking. Caught the very end of brunch and throughly enjoyed my meal and drink. Wait staff was very courteous and the manager and/or owner walked around table to table asking how everything was. She was very personable and warm. Will definitely go back when I am in the area.

We love coming here dinner or lunch! Food is delicious and presented nicely. Bar is stocked with several excellent bourbons. I would like to see them stock " Angel's Envy, my favorite bourbon, but I'm just being selfish. lol

Love, just love. Do not think twice this place is great. The guacamole is amazing and I just had the best cobb salad I have ever had a few days ago. Also Robby behind the bar is one of the best in NJ. Eat here!

This review is based off of 2 recent visits. We came in for breakfast a couple of weeks ago and had a good experience- Matt, the server was great, breakfast was ok and portions were generous( kind of difficult to mess up on breakfast). Their breakfast wrap would have been DELICIOUS if it were toasted.

However, I unfortunately can't say the same for our most recent visit for Easter Dinner. We decided to stop by as they were having a special Easter Menu. Our server seemed very rushed (despite it being not very busy as we came in later on in the evening), we didn't get his name. We ordered drinks- a manhattan and a specialty cocktail. The Manhattan was a bit bland and the server ended up forgetting the other drink- which didn't end up coming out until after dinner was served. Ciabatta bread and chicken soup were great as well as the lamb chops on the Easter Menu, however, their strip steak lacked flavor and came out a bit cold. We justified these mishaps as it was a holiday but were a little disappointed as this restaurant is much pricier than many others in the area and thus our expectations were set a bit higher for a restaurant with such great hype. Not sure we will be back at this point.

Before Covid we would eat here all the time. Since the pandemic, we have ordered to-go meals to support one of our favorite restaurants. Tonight s order, however, was an extreme disappointment. One item I ordered was missing and the salmon on two other items was not cooked to order. Normally I would give a pass, but the price for items I ordered was extraordinary so I expected at least to get what I ordered. So disappointed.

Lovely restaurant! And I've never had better Korean BBQ and kimchee. Honestly. One of my favorite dishes ever... and I've been to more than 30 countries and tasted a lot of wonderful dishes! THIS one is in my top ten anywhere. Never expected to find kimchee on the menu here. Impressive variety.
We're planning to hold a rehearsal dinner in the upstairs room next summer. We feel confident in our decision!

Our last time at GT was for brunch. This time, on Nov 29, we were there for dinner, and to celebrate a birthday. The staff is exceedingly nice. We preferred sitting outside despite the cold, and they went out of their way to plug in an extra heater or two to help us stay warmer. The food achieved that balance between innovative and familiar, and the ambiance is great too. It looks lovely on the inside as well with proper adherence to Covid-19 protocols. I can see us becoming regulars here!

Disgusting. Decor=Filthy and ugly/dull, tasteless. There no longer exists the gorgeous upscale atmosphere and historical decor. MANAGER EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. Anyone who knew this place before they came in and destroyed historical value and beauty, started serving greasy uncooked food in an atmosphere of cold, inpersonal surroundings....will never go here as it is now! They also have been known to post their own "good reviews!"

What a great place! Phenomenal food, service, cocktail, and beer selection. They allow dogs on front porch. My recommendation is to hike the Hacklebarney State Park and come here for lunch or dinner.

Had a mostly tasty meal. Would give it another try. Some of the items could use some improvement like the Matzoh Ball soup and the brisket. Calamari and guacamole were delicious. Lamb shank and brussel sprouts were a win. The small details on service could use some improvement, such as checking on drinks, seeing if anyone wants a knife, bringing milk for the coffee, asking before removing a plate, etc. Overall, a good meal and an enjoyable night. Prices within expectations.

Went with a party of 10 people for dinner. Overall the experience was good with only a couple of minor issues.

1. Server did not always understand our drinks order
2. Used items on the table were not removed creating a very crowded table.
3. Main course arrived while some people were still eating their starter, and other people that had finished still had their empty starter plates in front of them. This caused chaos with many servers suddenly arriving all trying to sort out the table.

Apart from the above, food was good, the staff were very friendly taking time out to interact with our 2 younger guests which we all appreciated, and we all had an excellent evening for my wife's birthday.

Will definately go again.

My wife and I attended a birthday celebration. It's a nice venue. It was buffet service and I thoroughly enjoyed my Bloody Mary!

Service was attentive until the end where I had to track down our server for forgotten hot tea service.

The meat offering on the buffet was undercooked, fatty, and tough. The grilled vegetables were excellent; as were the Chicken and Salmon.

Overall I would return.
