The food as usual was delicious, but the service in the restaurant was awful. Booked the table for 7 of us for 7:45pm and we weren't seated until 8:30. We then didn't receive our food until 9:30/9:45. The service was just extremely slow, with no clear reason for the wait and the waitor didn't remove any of the glasses that weren't being used and they did not take away any old glasses when new drinks were ordered. What usually is an hour to an hour and a half long meal out with friends lasted close to 4 hours due to the service.

Wonderful meal, excellent service and would recommend very highly.

Modern classy decor we could have stayed all day. Great food and cosy ambiance.

I never normally write reviews, but today we had a lovely meal. The food portions were amazing. It was also my daughters birthday and they made her feel really special and it made her day. Thanks to all the staff :o)

Googled a place to get Sunday roast on the way home from the Norfolk Broads, well it did not disappoint!! Amazing food and great service. Lovely interior and exterior.

Food is exilent be warned you plate will be full you definitely will not still be hungry. Beer is exilent so are the staff helpful and friendly

Wow, what a disappointing lunch. Arrived at the opening, was first of our group to order. Our group was the first to order. An hour and quarter later all but 2 in our group had been served. I ended up asking either to box it up or refund my order. "We can't refund, it's already been cooked.". I will suggest other local pubs in the future.

Decor is spot on, very comfortable and exceptionally clean, enjoying a local atmosphere. The inn has an extensive menu, the food quality was exceptional. My wife and I found this a gem on route elsewhere.

Really helpful staff and very tolerant. We were in the bar with a very lively 2 year old and they did everything the could to help. Child's portions are huge. When the kids meals arrived first we thought they had got it wrong but no. It definitely wasn't quantity over quality though, we all enjoyed every mouthf we could fit in. Thank you for a great evening.

Love the halloumi sandwiches. Our preferred work lunch spot. No more than 10 fish and chip orders at a time!

Worth a visit. Enjoyed the menu choices. You don t always want a Sunday lunch, Because it s Sunday. The garden is well worth a look. & it s dog friendly! Bonus.

I returned to this incredible pub after many years to have dinner with my family. Omg, how it has changed! It is run by children who are cheap labour still living with mum and dad! I don't need to ramble on about the ins and outs...because the whole pub heard me! And that's the best village pub PR gossip that I have given you. Let's just say ..One hour and 10 minutes later we were back on the A14 to the nearest chips shop lol , and a big thank you to Jess , quote ..I'm just kitchen staff ...so where's our dinner!! AVOID AVOID AVOID

I had just the best meal here. Definitely get yourself the Eton mess. The ploughmans was also fantastic. And if you can eat outside in the beer garden.

Busy Pub Restaurant that has a good menu selection using quality produce at reasonable prices. Always enjoy our visits there as the offer an enjoyable meal and a night out.

Look to be leading on portion sizes of late which some might appreciate but I found the size of the meal served up a little too large.

An outstanding pub with a good range of beers and a very fair pub kitchen. Portions are large and well-presented. You need to book in advance for a meal.

Absolutely fantastic. Lovely place, great food, great value for money too. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling the A14 who definitely doesn't want the Little Chef type food. This is a million miles better.

Amazing, amazing and amazing! Happened upon by chance and couldn't of been more pleased!

We were travelling from Stradbroke in Suffolk through to Droitwich Spa and after trying to find places to eat (we will not entertain services!!!!) we saw a sign for the George on the A14. When we arrived, which was only a minute off the road we were within 15 minutes of the kitchen closing. We both had fish and chips with mushy peas. Firstly the bar staff were very pleasant, secondly the service was prompt and finally the food; I haven't had fish and chips this good since I don't know when and beautifully presented on the plate. We will be visiting every time we pass as this is food not to miss and of the highest quality. Well done the staff at the George, our vote is 100% wow!!!!!!!

Visiting friends in the village and went for dinner on 4th. Fantastic meal, excellent staff and service. Highly recommend.

Had a meal just before Christmas with friends, the meal was pleasant but nothing special but expensive for what it was. There was a mixup when ordering pudding which resulted in myself having to go and find a member of staff.
