The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful the rooms are really nice and really comfortable however the staff really is not up to par for the price that this hotel tries to command.

Getting the bellhops to help you with the luggage and the luggage carts was a battle several times throughout the weekend there was even one time where I called down to have them come up to a room to pick stuff up and they never even showed up. I ended up having to move everything myself. Also our rooms were supposed to be ready early and when we got there we were told they would not be there until after 4 p.m. which was completely and totally unacceptable since our event started at 3. After a very Frank conversation with one of the managers miraculously the rooms were ready 5 minutes later. I don't believe in coincidences and think that the rooms were ready the whole time but they were trying to hold them for some unknown reason. But during that brief time istead of being helpful and just holding the luggage that I needed them to the front desk personnel proceeded to argue with me about what they would and would not hold.

Also for some reason the housekeeping staff shut my air conditioner off and broke the thermostat so I came back from a wedding to a room that was over 80 degrees and had to Google how to reset the thermostat myself because when I asked somebody for the front desk to fix it they told me that there was nobody in the hotel that was qualified to address the air conditioner. Keep in mind this is on a Saturday night when the hotel had three separate weddings going on and was completely sold out. The idea that they did not have a maintenance person on staff is beyond the pale of things that I could possibly imagine.

Personally I would never stay here again.

I've stayed at the hotel and dined there many many times since I was a young girl. There's a nostalgic feeling that draws me there from time to time. From the wonderful staff, to the excellent food & service, the Garden City Hotel remains a favorite place of mine to visit now and again. Many places have had to make changes in order to survive in this pandemic; the hotel & restaurant included. However, I don't hold that against them. To the staff, thank you for always displaying the upmost professionalism and for going above & beyond to deliver the best experience for your guests.

Thank you so much for a nice and super accommodating stay! We got there super early and had not thought through that check in wasn t till 4 PM. The entire staff from the security guard to the bellhop to the front desk couldn t have been nicer. We really appreciate it! Ryan and Katie

Our stay was excellent. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was professional and helpful.
We hosted our son and daughter in law s post wedding brunch here as well. The planning was easy and fun thanks to Paul. The brunch exceeded our expectations with great food, wonderful staff, and a very beautiful room.

I personally have not stayed at the hotel. I was there to drop something at the front desk. On this occasion it was a beautiful summer evening. The grounds looked immaculate. There was music, nice furniture on lawn very cool vibe. I would have loved to have a cocktail on my visit.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon nigh at The Garden City Hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the valet, the front desk upgraded us for a very reasonable price and the hotel restaurant was even able to accommodate my gluten allergy. The room that we were upgraded to was AMAZINGGGGGG!! We had a full balcony, a massive living room, a beautiful dinning room with a full sized kitchenette/ bar section. My husband and I had a blast! I did have a minor issue with my dinner but Brittany Schmidt the Food and Beverage Manager made sure that my husband and I were given a complimentary breakfast. Brittany also personally delivered special desserts to the room which made our night even more special. My husband and I cannot wait to return to the Garden City Hotel in the future for another visit. Maybe even for our anniversary.

All of the staff from the doorman to front desk to the managers were all super nice and welcoming!

Locations is wonderful with tons of great eateries within walking distance and a variety of beaches, outlooks, and destinations within 20-30 min drive

The property is gorgeous from the clock tower, garden patio to the restaurants and all in between. Outside of The Salt Room there are signatures of Hugh Jackman, Slash, Lauren Hill, etc. who have frequented the venue.

Everything is also kept very clean which is so important these days. Seeing they won a cleanliness award in the pandemic and still compile good reviews of this nature to date helped me decide to vacation here with my family.

I will definitely be back to visit!

I traveled from out of town to visit the area thinking I'd have a great luxurious hotel experience for the money. You'd get the same hotel experience at a Best Western or Marriot for half the price - and you'd get a free breakfast. The hotel was also incredibly loud from the other guests in the halls at night, paper thin walls here.

My stay here was absolutely amazing. With everyone dealing with the pandemic, you wouldn't know they were short staffed. The facilities was always clean, the grounds are well kept and the staff is extraordinary. I had the pleasure of being serviced by Vincinta in the lounge for breakfast, Francesca kept our room clean and comfortable, then Pascal was a phone call away for any additional assistance. Everyone was polite, caring and hospitable. If your looking for a place to stay that is a home away from home, make it Garden City Hotel. You will not regret it for you only deserve the best.
