Got a deal on this hotel from my agent, so was inclined to chk it out before my cruise the next day. Glad I did! Got a room on the 23rd floor overlooking the pools. Beautiful view, and at night, the hotel across the way was lit up like a giant red bottle! The room was a double-very comfy beds, stand alone shower, separate jacuzzi tub and walkout balcony. The restaurants and nightlife were another bonus-yachts along the Waterford waterfront side, club attached with everything from lambos to ferrari to Bentley were attending the club. Definitely staying there again!

Great rooms.l! Greatly located! Toilet is very nice! I like the balcony!
Only downside is the how the bed is done. Strangely blanket and sheets make a mess everynight not matter what you do. But I recommend the hotel.

The Kimpton Epic is a wonderful place to stay. Great customer service. The only thing was my wife and I had to take a cold shower the next morning due to having no hot water. Customer service guy thought it was funny. But, I will definitely stay there again.

I ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and I could say that this one is the best of all. The design on the walls was very beautiful. This is a luxury hotel. The food was excellent, the heated pool was amazing, and the staff was uniquely kind and helpful. I would be recommending this hotel for the reason that we loved our stay here.

I was very disappointed in the way I was treated and my total experience at the Kimpton EPIC Hotel. I usually like to stay at Marriott properties because I'm familiar with them and their brand but the JW Marquis across the street was booked. I stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago to attend the Super Bowl. What was supposed to be a great experience turned into a headache. I attended a NFL Welcome Party and received a sovenir exclusive golden championship champagne bottle. I placed out of the way in my room and it was fine after the first night. After returning to my room the second night it was missing and my room was completely serviced. After bring it to the attention of Monica, the manager on duty, she asked the house keeping staff about it and they completely denied even seeing the bottle or going into my room. My guess was it was mistakingly thrown away but then again a golden championship bottle doesn' look like complete garbage. From there I filled out an incident form with the head of security to state what was missing. While filling out the form, a cleaner happened to come up to the security officer and handed him what seemed to be a gift card I left behind in my room I had misplaced. It had an exclusive design on it and im 99% sure it was mine. I asked if it was left behind in my room and said no and ignored me. From there I had to check out soon and needed to catch my flight so I was asking if we could resolve the issue even if it took some type of compensation. They insisted they needed to go through an insurance claims company and do an investigation. After talking to an insurance claims agent a few days later, it was found that someone was in my room while I was away (obviously my room was cleaned) but they didn't weren't going to grant me any kind of compensation for my bottle because I didn't have a picture of it?! I then proceeded to google to try to find something remotely similar to what had been taken from me with not much success. I sent them a picture a golden wrapped champagne bottle with a team logo but I clearly stated it was not the same. It was on ebay for $500 so I asked for that as compensation since couldn't find my bottle. They denied it and said they saw the bottle for $29.99 and would send me that. I then stated that was not ok with me and that bottle had a lot of sentimental value to me and was exclusive. At this point I reached out to the hotel manger Anna who said she would work on resolving the issue. At this point I was able to acquire a picture of the actual bottle from a coworker and sent it to her. After not responding to my follow up email she called a few days later and said she could replace the bottle with the one that was sent initially (not the exclusive championship edition) but it would take weeks, months or longer. At this point, the whole process had been drawn out for a couple weeks now and I was just ready to cut my losses. I just asked to be compensated the fair amount of $500, and she declined. I told her the value that exclusive time sake bottle had to me and it would never be replaced. I stated how it was the hotel's fault and negligence on their part that it was removed from room and it was also lied about. A formal apology was still not given. I'm writing this review because 1. I feel like everyone should know the way they treat their high paying customers here. 2. MAKE SURE you put away your personal belongings in your room when you're not there if you value them. People do not book hotels of this caliber to be treated with this level of professionalism. I was HIGHLY disappointed in my stay here and would NOT recommend!

Gorgeous hotel with a fun view of the city. At night, the buildings light up and it looks incredible. Short Uber ride from South Beach (if that's your thing) and it's super close to SO MANY delicious restaurants. The hotel room itself was modern and comfortable. I enjoyed everything about my stay!

Although the rooms are nice and clean, and staff are well mannered inside. The valets are sloppy and unprofessional. I waited on average half an hour as valley VIP for my vehicle. I will never stay at this hotel again. The most important night of my stay I waited nearly an hour for my vehicle and then was sassed by valet to move fast. Also, guests are told not to smoke in rooms but for 4 out of 6 nights my neighbors smoked marijuana and the smell made me sick. Overall 2/5 stars

WORST place to stay. Very loud and horrible music with lousy DJ until very late at night. You room will vibrate with the sound. The entrance is always a complete chaos with cars parked in the pedestrian walks. You will be walking in the middle of moving cars every time you try to get to the lobby.

Nice hotel. Rooms are well kept, a bit older but nice. Went to the 16th floor bar and restaurant but no service for 10 minutes so we left and didn't return. Front desk, concierge and valets and bellhops are all professional and friendly.

Lovely hotel, excellent service and spectacular location. Make certain to request your room with a view of the Biscayne Bay. It's not Miami Beach but definetly more of the real local " Miami life style". Upscale, loving life and just chillin. The pool is on the sixteenth floor along with a roof top bar of sorts although, the 16th floor is not the top floor. I had a fabulous weekend.

If I had to summarize my stay at the Kimpton Epic ...

If I had to summarize my stay at the Kimpton Epic Hotel in one word, I'd simply say, "Epic!"

After spending my first couple of nights in Miami Beach staying at the Lorraine Hotel (crappy experience), I spent my last night in Miami staying at the Kimpton Epic Hotel. Yes, it was more than twice as expensive; but you know what? IT WAS WELL WORTH IT!

One of the reasons why I was willing to pay more for this hotel is due to the fact that it was almost New Year's Eve and so people were coming into Miami from all over and hotel rates in general just spiked. Another reason is because this is considered a luxury hotel and this is Miami where nothing is cheap.

I arrived at the hotel around 11 am on a Friday and traffic was pretty bad at the time: It took me almost 45 minutes to get to the hotel from Hotel Lorraine and it wasn't even that far. But hey, again; this is Miami we're talking about so this was expected.
When I checked in, I was informed that they didn't have any room available yet. But they checked me in, took my luggage and also my number so they would be able to text me when my room was ready.

Long story short, they actually didn't have my room ready until almost 4 pm. I'm not sure if this is the norm with the hotel or if it was due to the fact that it was almost NYE. But I would recommend AGAINST early check in.
And also, if you plan on staying in their lobby, bring a jacket because the AC is freezing in the lobby area.

When I got up to my room, however, I was like "whoa!"
I've stayed at a lot of hotels: budget, medium range, luxury. I've even stayed in a Marriott Suite before (another 'whoa' moment) so at this point, it's pretty tough to impress me when it comes to hotel rooms. But this room is "whoa!".
Check this out:
- 55" Samsung Smart TV in the room.
- A balcony overlooking the pool (would have been super awesome had I stayed here in the summer).
- An opening in the wall between the bedroom and the bathroom so you could soak in the tub and watch the TV (and yes, they have blinds if you need some privacy).
- Super comfortable mattress to sleep in (unlike Hotel Lorraine).

I actually planned on using more of the amenities being offered by the hotel (gym, wine at the lobby, etc). But you know what I ended up doing? SLEEP. The mattress was so comfortable and I needed the sleep after not being able to sleep well for two nights. I didn't even care to check out the gym or whatever. I just wanted to sleep.

ALMOST everything about this hotel is perfect. The only reasons why I'm not giving it a perfect review are (1) no early check-in and (2) not a fan of the valet price and wait time.
Your only parking option here is to valet and it will cost you, if I remember correctly, $48 + tax/night. Pretty steep.

Would I stay here again? HELL TO THE YES!
If you're visiting Miami and you don't mind staying downtown, check this hotel out. You won't regret it.

They do some great drinks here. They have a very cool venue but like most of Miami, standing room only and you have to pay for a table. Overall a cool place with a great view, but break out your comfy shoes.

I had a fantastic time during my vacation in Miami and a lot of that great experience has to do with the Epic hotel and its top level employees. The front desk dealt with my lost luggage at the airport for me so I didn t have to worry and I had my bag on the second day delivered to my room. It was very nice of them and I am grateful. The room I stayed in was also very pretty and the food .the food was fantastic! I recommend the Epic hotel to everyone who has decided to go on holiday in Miami.

We planned our wedding here and the entire staff was BEYOND incredible. They went above and beyond in every aspect. Patricia, the Director of Social Catering, is one of the best event professionals I've ever worked with. I can't recommend this hotel enough for overnight stays and for any sort of event or wedding venue.

Really nice location, hella boujee. You will notice once you see lambos and ferrari's parked at night.. that's because one of the most popular rooftop bars is located here which is a plus. Missing a star because the accommodation decent but there were issues with the facility and things working properly.. for the price you would expect better just saying. I would recommend this place for couples and those looking to enjoy the Miami nightlife. Nice views and pool.
