The English Rose Tea Room Review

This place is over priced, food, tea, and service are fair and far too expensive. The only dining area in the fall and winter the tables are packed in like sardines. If you re into spending $100 for a party of two then this might be a place to visit. Back in the day 17 years ago it was charming owner cared about creating experience. The Wall paper is stained and pulling a part, furnishings are not what you would expect for spending this kind of money. A very sad and disappointing experience.

A very wide selection of teas. The Winter Wonderland and Oatmeal were my favorites! The food is nothing to rave about. The place is nicely decorated. Warm and cozy ambience. Overpriced!

Wonderful people and atmosphere. Be sure to make reservations. Great place for celebrating and great place to take young people. My grandson loved it too.

Charming little tea shoppe in a old fashion area of town. Lots of girlie tid bits and tea related items for sale.
Large variety of teas, with as many changes as I wanted. They even exchanged a brand new pot of tea that one of my table mates said she didn't like.
Wonderful assortment of of savory "sandwiches" including an eggsalad in a pastry dish and a fig & goat cheese in a tortilla wrap.
The sweet treats were just a delicious. There was a carrot "bread", like a carrot cake; a lemon bar, a macaron and a spring petite four.
Only down side was the parking. Very limited street parking and no lot. Some ladies in our party had to walk several blocks to get there, but they believed it was worth it.

Such a fun time! Celebrated my aunt's birthday and enjoyed the beautiful experience. Such kind servers! Had vegetarian options. Honestly the roasted vegetable tart was my favorite. Homade clotted cream and lemon curd. Just delicious.

If you love tea, you MUST visit. Amazing experience and excellent service.

Great high tea experience. Great food and atmosphere for Valentine's weekend. Only exception was one of the hostesses wasn't pleasant when she greeted us, party of 8, so I hope she can get an attitude adjustment. Not very welcoming after commuting 2 hours drive to patron there. It turned to be a great experience after all bc our assigned hostess was very sweet, took care of us, and food was yummy.

Quintessential fancy English Tea. Great service, gorgeous decorations and the best scones ever.

This cafe is amazing! I visited in Valentines Day, and it really made my day! The tea there is really good, along with the snacks/desserts too. Kids and adults each get their own separate starting course; which are the snacks. I also really like the interior, as I tend to like these type of designs. Along with the food and tea, there are small gifts or souvenirs you can buy. There are things like jewelry, tea sets, and if you really like some of the tea, they sell the tea leaves too! As for the tea, there s a menu and there are even specific seasonal or holiday tea flavors. And if you can t finish your food, you can t always take it home! They even let you take the tea home, in a separate container. Overall, this place is amazing!

Oh I m so sorry to hear this little tea house is closing. It sounds like your life is calling you though! I m happy for you. My friends and I have had many wonderful tea parties at your beautiful little shop. We will cherish our memories there. We pray this next step in your life will bring many blessings.
