This was a 2 night stay (Fri-Sun) with our son after nearly a year in our home due to COVID-19...we had to keep the TV on high volume the entire time trying to drown out the 2 day partying going on at full blast volume at the Frat houses located directly next to the hotel. We told the hotel about this and they failed to address it or refund any of our money...horrible experience and waste of money..
Staff, service and our lake front room were absolutely exceptional. Everyone was friendly, had a ready smile and we're always ready to help. Rooms were in excellent condition. Very clean. Bedding was comfortable and fresh. Bathroom was spotless. The spa was clean, staff was wonderful and friendly. Our time there was so relaxing. Not rushed. Not a bad thing to say all around and we will be making this an annual trip!

We've waited years for this beautiful resort on the water! A gorgeous property! Views. On Lake Mendota! It's our spot! The restaurant has been transitioning..first formal sit-down, now more casual with fine dining choices and prices! Haven't quite settled in, so it's not busy. We love the place. Need outdoor seating on the patio too-4th floor as a great option from the Boathouse which is usually packed!

I had the NY strip and my better half had the squash.
Lety was the waitress and she was great.
She had attention to detail making everything perfect while training a new waitress(Alice) too.
Enjoyed everything!

First time here,I came here from out of town. The host was super accommodating....he made sure we got a good view if the water, and was taken care of the entire time. Our waiter was super nice too.
Their brunch was good. I loved the French toast (I am a French toast(connoisseur)
Beautiful view! Watched UW Crew practice in the morning. The Friday fish fry from Statehouse was great, too. Excellent stay, very relaxing.
This we be our go to hotel if my kids go to UW. We had no choice but to bring our pooch and they were more than accommodating. Great hotel right in the heart of everything with a beautiful view of the lake.

Views from our lakefront room were very good. The food in the restaurant was pretty good, the wait staff was great. Went to take a shower and there was no shampoo... 2 lotions, but no shampoo. No big deal--just call down to guest services/housekeeping/front desk, right? I have spent the last 10 minutes calling all three numbers from my room and NO ANSWER. That's unacceptable at this price point. Be better.
