I ordered a salad with chicken for togo. I literally had to wait 20 minutes for this small serving and they charged me ~$14!!! When they charged me this amount I thought to myself oh! Itll be a bigger salad but nope they gave me a salad for ants!! AND a 20 minute wait for them to cook basic chicken breast?!

Overall a good experience, but a little let down by cold food. We were a group of 8 so I understand it can be difficult to coordinate all dishes at the same time, but that s kind of the whole point. Regardless, the steak was seasoned very well and delicious - if a bit on the cold side. Fries were crispy and excellent as well. Dessert was, of course, wonderful. Just avoid plating too early and I ll be happy to return!

I love the D-Bar. Distinctive drinks, dinning and deserts. Keegan and Lisa, the owners are gifted chefs. They have created an over-the-top concept that is ideal for a special date or celebration. Love the D-Bar Figs and the Salmon Salad entree. The deserts are spectacular. I am not going to try and describe them as I can't do them justice. Just go!

The best mac and cheese EVER! It was cheesey, gooey and DELISH! MMM I accompanied it with a BLT that was as delish. Now let's talk about the bakery. OMG. OMG. Cake in Jar! (changes daily FYI) I had lemon and blueberry.....the creme on between the layers was thick enough and just sweet enough. Ive also had the pleasure of eating a cookie chocolate chunk and brownie and a red velvet cupcake..all equally amazing. I am looking forward to my return.

The noise in the restaurant was so loud that it was difficult to carry a conversation or even order. The server first approached us and said they might not be serving real food anymore. We had a reservation for 8:45pm and came from the Springs, nowhere did it say they stop serving real food at a certain time. I explained that and he went to ask. They let us order, but we had to rush and hadn t even ordered drinks yet. Then he got the order wrong. He brought too many orders. He forgot completely about my daughter s coke float and when I reminded him, he brought a root beer float instead. Which the menu said was $7 and we were charged $8.50 for. She just drank it because it was nearly impossible to get his attention. He didn t seem apologetic or to care. I still tipped 15% because I m a decent person, but he definitely didn t earn it. The prices are very high. I got a lobster roll, which was yummy, but put me back almost $25. My glass of house Cabernet was $14. The desserts were good but not amazing and the prices on those are very expensive too. I would rather go to a nicer place for the price, with better service.

Just love this place, it never disappoints. We sat at the dessert bar which was fun to watch them make the desserts. The food is always good and the service is nice. Today we got the breakfast burrito and short rib hash. Dessert was the D's Nuts and Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal. Everything was delicious, as always.

I did not have much, and I only went once, so far, so the rating is higher than I believe they deserve. However, I had no issues with the place, so they do not need a lower rating. The place is in a good part of Denver, the food is presented in a fancy way, and the pricing is not bad. I thought it would be more but it was inexpensive. I like the variety of desserts, and the quinoa salad was really good. Not sure if this is the place for food, more for comfort food such as dessert and tea. The staff seemed nice, but do some to the table more than one wants. Do wish to go back and try their desserts.

Have been here two times and each time has been a great experience. I love the way the restaurant is decorated and the fun vibe it gives off and they always have delicious stuff! This tome we tried the valentines dessert buffet after dinner and it was so good! And the Brussels sprouts are a MUST TRY! I was licking the plate. Thanks for a good experience D Bar!

One of my favorite places to go, I love having the chance to stop by!! The food never disappoints, the menu is well constructed and the staff is so incredibly friendly and sweet! I had the chance to celebrate my birthday here and the hostess even wrote a cute note for me - it's little details like this that make this a special place. I just wish I lived closer!!

I ordered a birthday cake that was beautiful but we were all disappointed by the way it tasted. It was like a powdered sugar bomb with no variation in flavor. The candy on top was mostly white chocolate and all tasted the same. The kids complained that it was too sweet with too much frosting most of the cake went to waste. The staff was very attentive and kind, but we didn't feel like the cake was worth $60 unfortunately!

I've taken a couple classes here (gnocchi and macarons) and they were very enjoyable. Then, after class, I'd eat their food! I've tried a few dishes from here and they've all been good. However, the pizza salad sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries is my favorite. I attempt to leave without ordering their beignets and fail every time. Yum, nutella beignets... sorry! I was reminiscing. They also have seasonal dishes that are good too.

About a year ago, I had an experience where their service and food wasn't what I was used to so I spoke with the manager. He was understanding and professional. It's exactly what I love to see in the service industry which is addressing a problem and having it be corrected with a good attitude. I wish I could remember his name, but either way- five stars to you D Bar.

Some delicious and very reasonable priced plates for sharing with a group. I've a soft spot for small plates for sharing and D Bar offers that up in spades.

The DCB platter of smoky bacon wrapped dates, parmesean fries and crispy brussel sprouts is a perfect way to kick things off at the table over a beer or cocktail. The selection of sandwiches or wagyu sliders and burger are all perfect for sharing while leaving just enough room for what they are known for - desserts! Easily some of the best churros I've ever tasted, and you can't go wrong with their molten cake thing that everyone has.

I ve always been a fan of the D Bar from savory food to the delicious desserts. I just ordered a cake for my parents anniversary and it was beautiful and easy to order. The customer service was excellent and I will definitely be ordering all my cakes from here from now on. Thank you for making our celebration special.

Brunch was fresh and super flavorful. The Crue fries were surprisingly really complex but still craveably delicious, they were gone immediately. Dessert afterwards was more but better. The beignets were the best I've ever had, warm and fluffy. Our server was attentive and helpful and kind. Will be coming back. Repeatedly, probably.

Stopped in for a late lunch on a Wednesday. I hadn't been in years and this location is much bicer than their previous location. There is plenty of seating options. As expected, there weren't a lot of customers but service was fast and the food was delicious. Go for dinner and enjoy their whimiscal desserts.

This is the last time we'll go. We've gone many times over the years, but the service has consistently declined. We interacted with three people and none of them could even pretend to care. The food isn't as good as it used to be. One of the bartenders appeared a little intoxicated. Normally, I'd enjoy that, but instead of being a friendly drunk, he was sour and nearly dropped several glasses while we were there. The hostess was unpleasant.

I've heard a lot about D Bar and finally had the chance to eat there. The place was really designed well. It looks very modern and clean. While D Bar is famous for their desserts, I ended up trying a salad with salmon on top. It was really, really good and felt healthy. I can't wait to come back and try some desserts!

Everything in this restaurant truly makes me smile. I frequent this establishment regularly, and I ve never been disappointed. The food I always prepared thoughtfully and deliciously. The desserts are all out of this world. I appreciate the seasonal menu and all their attention to detail in everything they plate. The atmosphere is sophisticated but not too frou-frou, and the hostesses there are always so friendly! Whether you go and sit at the dessert or cocktail bar, community table, or are sat with your party; the wait staff are all incredibly helpful and friendly as well. Truly always a great experience, keep it up!

One of Denver's best date spots. Almost mo one does dessert as well D Bar. My favorite is the Creme Brulee. The only disappointing thing was the coffee. Which is odd, because the alcoholic coffee drinks are superb.

I have been anticipating my visit here, when we arrived Keegan himself was outside meeting with his staff. The space itself is really nice as was our waiter. I ordered a burger and it was served raw! The waiter took it back no problem and sorry this and that.... when they brought the "new" one back out it was the same piece of ground beef I sent back. WTF? What a shame that this would be an acceptable practice for D Bar.

I laugh at most of these reviews raving about the desserts here. I have eaten there and know someone who worked there for a bit.

They are known for using boxed cake mix and bagged powdered Creme Brulee that is merely add water to a mix and stir Creme Brulee. EVERYONE can make their food at home, you probably just don't know how to make it so pretty. They also use bottled clear caramel, canned fruit, pre-made tart shells, purchased truffles, pre-made flowers and deco, bottled key lime juice, Gold Medal Flour boxed cake mix (don't believe me, look into the kitchen on top of the freezer space they keep the cake mix. Ask for a kitchen tour, I bet they won't give it to you without hiding something first.) The chocolate cake is the only cake that is made in house because Keegan has not figured out how to altitude adjust in Denver on the other cakes. The Master Baker does not know how to altitude adjust?????

The owners are frauds and laugh openly at how "stupid" their diners are for not knowing better that they over charge you for something you can do at home and you don't even know isn't scratch made. Keegan's wife Lisa thinks you are all stupid when you say the desserts are good and Keegan laughs even more at that.

Do you really want to go somewhere where the food is made out of a box and the owners laugh at you for not knowing that? I mean, really?

Make up your mind after reading this review, and know there are other options in town that are better and scratch baked. Don't be fooled, go somewhere else!

Not just a dessert place, their food is pretty delicious too. Service lately has been terrible though. I don't know if it was just the server we had or if service is just that slow on the patio. It's a good thing the food made up for the terrible service.

Amazing food, drink, and dessert menus! The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely, as is the staff. Happy hour was great for us as we wanted to try smaller dishes from multiple menus. Our waitress gave excellent recommendations when we couldn't make up our minds! Well worth the wait if you walk in, although most would recommend reservations made a couple of days in advance. We will definitely be back next time we're in Denver!

More than just dessert! We made reservations through OpenTable so no stress on waiting for a table. The service was quick and polite, our drinks were always full. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was very tasty. I had the Kobe Meatloaf which had a subtle kick to it which made the dish. To finish it off, save room for the Cake and Shake!

Had the service been faster this is a 4/5 star establishment. Went for Monday happy hour which lasts from 3pm to close. Great atmosphere, great cocktails. Took 10 minutes for our server to come to the table, but after she got our order the drink, food, check came real quick.

D Bar is always a delight. Went with friends, we shared crue fries, because you always have to have crue fries and we decided to try the bacon mac n cheese appetizer and both were great. I had the D Bar Burger which cold have done with a little less sauce but it was still tasty.
My companions had Southern Fried Belgian Sandwich and Pizza Salad Sandwich. The Pizza Salad Sandwich was the winner of the two.

A yummy time was had by all.

One of my favorite places in Denver! Their afternoon tea cannot be beat! Arranged a birthday dinner for friends here recently. The food & service were good. The only bug in the entire experience, was when I preordered the cake. I was asked if I would like to add a gratuity for the cake artist. I tried to decline, but felt quite pressured to say yes. Even if a tip is customary, which I feel this situation isn't, it shouldn't be paid prior to receiving the service. After all, a tip is a bonus based on exceeded expectations; if you haven't eaten or even seen the cake yet, you can hardly have had your expectations exceeded. I will be returning on my next Denver trip in February, to enjoy the food, but will not be ordering a cake here again.

Note: we did not have dinner here.

Their dessert was excellent. Very simple comfort desserts done very well. The one that looked the most ridiculous to me was the Milk and Cookie for $8. It would have to be the best cookie i ever had, but i wasn't willing to take the risk. ended up getting the Smo Waffle and split it with my wife.

Put your name in and then hang around outside. We saw a lot of people walk off and the hostess called them, but they were not around to be seated.

Seriously, the best place in Denver.

Seriously, the best place in Denver.

Maybe I'm bias because I used to live across the street and ate there twice a week, but everything is consistent and delicious. The service for dine-in is always great, and the bakery/take-out employees are my absolute favorite! I live for the mac and cheese, crue fries, and the chocolate chunk cookies. Ugh, and the gelato. Ugh, everything! Even the bartenders are sweet. Everyone is sweet. Once COVID-19 hit, they were selling ingredients and bottles of wine - yes, yes, honey, yes. They also had their take-out window and we ordered the delicious frozen margaritas all the time. Now that they've been open for dine-in again, still, it's as if they were never closed! We have all celebrated our happy hours, birthdays, and just girls days here. I love D-Bar so much and miss living by it, but can say that they truly have an incredible establishment. Thank you to management, FOH, and BOH. All great.

I loved the food here, menu is superb. However, there are a ton of flies in the restaurant. I get it, bugs are everywhere but I counted over 10 flies on the glass between the restaurant and kitchen. I'm not a picky or finicky person, so for me to notice and be disgusted was quite the feat. It was so extremely off putting, I definitely would not be able to eat here again if the bug problem continues.

Have been here 5 times in the last couple of years, never particularly overwhelmed, I expected the food quality to be reflective with the prices but feel that they misaligned.
I had the rosito, rice was crunchy, still had the alcohol flavor in it because it was not cooked out.
The Chocolate cake frosting tasted like one of those manufactured cake frostings, and nobody at the table liked it.
All 4 of us did not like the mousse from the S-more dessert and it seemed topped with jarred marshmallow, that is a guess but it looked and had the same texture and taste as the marshmallow from a jar, and the mousse had a bland flavor and odd texture.
Again I will be back because it fits the bill when we are in that neck of the woods, but it is not the first choice.

D-Bar is delicious. This has been a favorite of ours since they opened at their previous location. Today we popped in for a sweet birthday treat for my daughter. We sat at the dessert bar and met the dessert chef who was marvelous. It is cool watching the various desserts get put together, including all the fancy flourishes. I had the lava cake with pistachio ice cream...so good! The flavors paired so well. My daughter got the funfetti cake (she turned 29) with a mini sundae and a beater with frosting. Yes, like being a little kid and mom lets you lick the beats. Total nostalgia moment. Her cake was absolutley not a box cake, an elevated funfetti cake. The chef also treated us with some tastes of other treats. I completely recommend D-Bar.

I can't believe the comments the staff made to my wife. They told her that she couldn't eat the food she ordered or she would ruin her "figure". If they left it at that one comment I might be able to let it go. However, they proceeded to make crude gestures toward her and then held up a piece of paper against the kitchen window with more body shaming comments.
We have three kids and And my wife doesn't often get a chance to go out with her friends but D-Bar found a demeaning way to ruin her night. I am writing this review as she she is crying to me on the phone outside the restaurant.

I went to D-bar after I got dinner. I feel racism at this place. I do not recommend for more than four people to go. One server(woman) told us we need to wait 30 mins for outside and 1 hour for inside. But two people came in and server treats them right away. (We were 5 people) This is the reason we complain but they set up the table right way which is really weird. They put two tables at one place. (They told me it is exceptaional.) we feel really really racism and we left the place after that. We will never go again.

I have always enjoyed Dbar (great food and awesome atmosphere) but after my last experience I will never return and spend a dime in that restaurant. Don't get me wrong but the food is really good.

When walking in the door we were greeted by a host that said "How many?" I responded saying 2. She then proceeded to say let me find out where we can sit you. I looked around and saw many open tables (it was around 8:30 on a Sunday Night). I then figured out what the problem was (My partner has a service animal). She then said I need to get my manager. She walked in the back and came back with the manager. The manager (ADRIENNE CHAVEZ) proceed to ask for papers for our service animal (Per ADA :by law a Businesses may ask if an animal is a service animal or ask what tasks the animal has been trained to perform, but cannot require special ID cards for the animal or ask about the person's disability). My partner explained to her that you can not ask for special id or papers on the dog. He stated you are only allowed to ask the service and if my dog is a service animal. She keep going on and on explaining why our Service dog wasn't allowed into DBar. I was beyond pissed she made us feel like we were an issue and that the money we were going to spend didn't matter. We have been to DBar two times before this incident and had no issue. I will never support a business that treats people with seen or unseen disabilities with such disrespect.

Per ADA requirements: Businesses that serve the public must allow people with disabilities to enter with their service animal.

Businesses may ask if an animal is a service animal or ask what tasks the animal has been trained to perform, but cannot require special ID cards for the animal or ask about the person's disability.

People with disabilities who use service animals cannot be charged extra fees, isolated from other patrons, or treated less favorably than other patrons. However, if a business such as a hotel normally charges guests for damage that they cause, a customer with a disability may be charged for damage caused by his or her service animal.

A person with a disability cannot be asked to remove his service animal from the premises unless: (1) the animal is out of control and the animal's owner does not take effective action to control it (for example, a dog that barks repeatedly during a movie) or (2) the animal poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others.

In these cases, the business should give the person with the disability the option to obtain goods and services without having the animal on the premises.

Businesses that sell or prepare food must allow service animals in public areas even if state or local health codes prohibit animals on the premises.

A business is not required to provide care or food for a service animal or provide a special location for it to relieve itself.
Allergies and fear of animals are generally not valid reasons for denying access or refusing service to people with service animals.

Violators of the ADA can be required to pay money damages and penalties.
