52yr old 6ft;195lb rider. Purchased a Kona Process 134 (L)with 29r's day before they had to close shop. Upgrade from an old busted Kona Dawg & temp Giant Trance X1; both 27. Kona Process 134 and wheel size has been a game changer. I was concerned (freakn out) with the total weight of the bike specifically when climbing up and down on long rides before I got out there. Although not winning any races, nor do I care to, it climbs much easier on technical climbs than anything I've been on. Point this thing downhill and all you can do is smile. Opened up a bunch of new lines. Less punishing on my body. At time of purchase, I added recommended carbon handlebar which I don't know if it made a difference from factory bars because I don't have rides to compare to but the front end and input I ask of it is spot on. Also added ergo grips which I just prefer. Transferred old clipless pedals. I would love to try the carbon Process 134 (or any carbon bike) to feel the difference in weight and overall ride would be worth the extra grand or 2 updgrade some day. Bottom line - Bike rocks so far but haven't been on any half day rides yet. Craig and Andrew are great support and know what they are talking about. And for what is worth, also a solid snowboard shop.

Best bike, board and skate shop in CT. Period. They're knowledgeable and will help you pick out stuff for those hard to shop for kids and young adults in your life! Why get them a bunch of junk they don't need and don't want? Sunglasses...great selection, and prices are comparable - plus you get them right then and there..no waiting and having to be home for a package delivery! Apparel prices are really great too. Don't forget to check out their used boards, boots, bikes and jackets!!!

Absolutely epic experience. After a season of using rentals/really old equipment, Brian at Cutting Edge set me up with my first setup and I couldn't be more stoked. He adjusted a pair of women's binding just so it'll fit the mens boots I had (cause they fit my feet better.) Totally knowledgeable, incredibly chill crew there, and great customer service.

This local business is way better than most bike shops in the area. The people that helped my daughter & I pick out a skateboard for her were pleasant, genuine and honest with their advice and selection. The price was reasonable and their selection of parts was great. Definitely worth the stop in!

You shouldn't have any issues if you're buying parts or accessories and they have a great selection but I would not recommend bringing a mountain bike here for any type of service. Took my 2 month old bike in for my first free tune-up and left with a bike that wasn't shifting correctly. After failing to fix my bent derailleur hanger (wasn't bent before I brought it in, no visible damage) they then told me that this is how a $750 bike should shift. Took it to an actual bike shop for a 2nd opinion and they said not only was my bike still not shifting correctly but the hanger was clearly still bent. Great place to shop but I would avoid mountain bike service at all costs, especially after hearing very similar stories from other local riders.

Cutting Edge always has the latest styles and brands that my kids love, mind you my kids are now 19 & 21! We have been loyal customers for many years and have never been disappointed in any of our purchases from bikes to skateboards to snowboards! The customer service is great and the sales staff are always very knowledgeable and welcoming. When we go to the store there are always familiar faces so the consistency is great! My family highly recommends Cutting Edge!

Worst haircut I have ever gotten didnt do what I asked, asked for a fade gave me all one length which was too short also my sides are uneven asked for box gave me round about (which are uneven) also asked for no product in my hair as he proceeded to slap gel on my head Wouldn t recommend for anyone now have to deal with 2 weeks of a bad haircut

Love this place. When I was in the market for my first bike in many, many years, I went to a lot of places. When I got here I knew I found my bike store. They listened to why I was buying, what I thought I'd be doing with it and my budget. They let me test drive. Every other place fell down on at least one or two of those things. I've been back for tune ups, and had great service there too.

First time visiting Cutting Edge and I was very impressed with their service during the Covid19. I met with Craig and needed to have my Bianchi racing bike overhauled. Since this bike has some age Craig took the initiative to replace the parts as close as possible to keep the bike original. Something I didn t expect but pleasantly surprised when I picked up the bike. Craig went out of his way to match the bike as close as possible to it s originality. Thank you Craig. This will definitely be my bike shop for the future. Great staff very polite and courteous.

I visited Cutting Edge the other day to look at Kona mountain bikes and was extremely impressed by the shop. Adam was super helpful and it was very clear that he knew what he was talking about. He wasn't pushy and provided all the information I needed.

I didn't make a purchase from them purely because of budgetary reasons (my friend sold me a used bike instead). I'm sure Adam would prefer a sale from myself, but I thought I would do the next best thing and write him this review as a thank you. I will return to purchase components in the future though!

Bought snowboard boots there as a beginner, wasn't sure about the size and fit. One day of riding and I realized they were too tight. I brought them back and explained my situation and they let me exchange them for a different size. I was really happy I wasn't stuck with the small boots!

I bring my Bikes to Cutting Edge for tuneups as well as accessories. I also had them build a skateboard for my son. Always great service and pleasant staff. I want to single out Tyrese, he called when my tuneup was done and took the time to explain what was done and gave great advice. Then when I called to compliment Tyrese to management I spoke with Adam who was very appreciative of the compliment. Please dont hesitate to use this shop for any bike, board, or accessory needs as you wont regret it.

Was looking for a bike all summer and decided to call Cutting Edge because I saw a great deal on a Kona process on the website...they didn t have the process BUT they did just get in a new Honzo ESD. Came to the shop rode it around and was blown away so I decided to grab it. They set up the shocks and tires for me and offered me the tubeless set up and discount on a helmet. After riding for a few weeks and bragging to my older brother how much fun I was having, he started to get the itch, so I called them again to see what they had in store or planning on getting in and the owner gave me a call back to let me know they just got in a sweat Santa Cruz Tallboy. I called up my bro and he was on his way to the shop. Needless to say he got the bike and was really happy w the service. We rode some great trails the next day and couldn t be more excited to ride these awesome bikes. Great owner, quick service, nice shop. Going to bring my snowboard over in a few weeks to get that tuned as they are a snowboard shop too.

Always friendly but more importantly listen to what we needed and the depth of knowledge shows through. There are plenty of places to buy but the knowledge and service level has been the best at Cutting Edge.

The shop workers seem to be very into the environment. Often leaving the customer service as a second thought. Definitely a place that requires multiple visits before you get A class service, however the work they did on my bike was excellent and i might consider returning.
