Shame on you for hurting feelings of millions of muslims across the world!!!!
We need to respect each others religion.

I would give 0 marks to consulate of Netherlands and embassy. I applied on November 2017 for family visit visa and they provided my all documents back on Jan 2018, also they did not provide me family visit visa. The reason for not provided visa that you have Afghanistan holding passport and US green card holder.
So Please do not apply for their country visa and do not waste your time and money.

The Consular officer was friendly and got our aplplication done without hassles for my family. Your emails will be generally answered within a day. Overall, my experience with the consulate at SF was great.

The staff at the consul are professional and helpful. I had a few correspondence via email before making an appointment for MVV, the communication was speedy and efficient. It helped clear a lot of confusion regarding the process. Upon learning that I had already bought tickets to Amsterdam during my appointment, my application was expedited and I received the MVV sticker in two days. Very friendly and resourceful staff.

We(me and my husband) were at the VFS center for Schengen Visa(Netherlands).Slots were easily available. Staff was supportive and friendly. As soon as we entered, we were directed to a room and were asked to arrange the documents in a particular order( Attached the photo that specifies documents and order) .
Document is not clear about dependent documents , as it does not mention marriage certificate And requires each person to fill them separately. My hotel booking only mentions +1 to my husbands name. Not sure, if it would be enough.
Advice: Make sure to have one copy for each of the applicant.
Note: They do not accept cash. Credit/debit cards/money orders are accepted. Courier service is available for passport delivery for $30 each( separate for dependents) or you could also get prepaid shipping labels and envelope. Amount was around 100$ for each. (65$ visa fee+33$ vfs processing fee).

Update:
It took 9 days for processing including a holiday and weekend . Turnaround is good.

Our visit was pleasant, the lady was very helpful.
I don t see why UnionPostSF is recommended as photographer for passport photos on their website.
They re not professional photographers, charging you $24 for a set of passport photos that I believe do not even meet requirements (reflection on the face)

House of bureaucracy, waste of time, they ask about hundreds useless and stupid things.

I called first and told them that I lost my passport and the lady on the phone told me go before 1pm and apply for a new one and I drove hours when I got there the didn't even let me in and told me to make an appointment what a west of my

Friendly people, service was quick and they were able to get me in 40 minutes before my appointment.

Had called the consulate to check if I can apply for Shengen visa on expired US Visa. The call center lady was helpful, calm and understanding. Patiently listened to me and the situation and guided me. Very good experience.

Submitted all application/forms for my visa and told them I need it soon due to urgent matters. Guess what after 4 days they asked me for same document again. Also since they send all applications to DC, which adds to delay.

Excellent service at the 31st for in the great of SF. Who can complain?

One of the most friendly and helpful staff of any consulate I ve ever worked with. they are responsive to email and friendly in person. We can t wait to visit the Netherlands!

We flew out from Seattle to get our Dutch visas and the office gave us the wrong ones! Even after having multiple phone conversations and email correspondences with them

great location close to Montgomery Station. I had to fly in and took the BART train to MS and walked over. my passport photos weren't the correct size so the gal there gave me a business card from a small place across the street postsfo I think it's called. was able to go right back and get the application completed. I'd get the pics there cause he knows exactly what Dutch government wants! as always friendly staff at the consulate.
