The views were unbelievable, the complementary breakfast was out of this world, and the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. But overall there was a lack of attention to detail.
As we entered the room, the inexpertly repair damage to the hallway wall, detracted from the beautiful view of the room and sea beyond. The room we stayed in had a full glass wall facing the sea and a balcony, but the balconies are separated by glass dividers, leaving no privacy for those on the balcony or those in the adjacent room. From our balcony, we could see into our next door neighbors room, and vice versa, and while on the balcony, we had a floor to sky view of anyone on the other balconies on our level, as they did of us.
The bathroom tub was luxurious, and the bathroom itself beautiful and well appointed, but if you looked up there was un-repaired flaking plaster above you. When we turned back the bed and adjusted the pillow, the under sheet did not fully cover the head of the bead, leaving the mattress exposed.

None of this to say it was not worth it. The view is unparalleled, but as they say the devil was in the details, and we had expected something a bit more of a hotel with this reputation.

The views were amazing and that's where the true value if the hotel is.
The rooms were sapcious and staff very helpful.

However, I was really disappointed with the state of the bathroom shower and how filthy it was especially for the price paid.

The location of the hotel is very good, as (in our room) the sea is close enough. The food was excellent and the service very good! The pool is a bit small but ok.
Little tip, the Cliff Walk is worth it!

Great food, both in the bar and the Michelin star restaurant. Clean, airy and picturesque, fresh sea air in abundance. Busy hotel but not rushed , high standard of service is delivered in a not so stuffy manner.
Pool is nice if not huge but wasn't busy when we visited.
Staff are doing a great job!

It is as good as everybody says. The views are incredible, the staff are amazing, the standard is incredibly high, the luxury from the hotel room, to the spa, to the restaurant are impeccable. I completely enjoyed every moment I was there.

We stayed in the Cliff House Hotel on the 25 th and 26 th of June and thoroughly enjoyed every precious second of this little piece of Heaven tucked away in Ardmore .

We have stayed there four times before this trip and each visit is more delightful , peaceful and a joy for the heart and soul .

The staff are so welcoming , the rooms so restful and to sleep while listening to the waves lapping is so soothing and calming .
The pool , outdoor sauna and of course the spa with all it offers is so relaxing and a walk down to the nearby beach is a must .

The breakfast is delicious and the view from the dining room gives a feeling of well being and contentment .

The house restaurant is A feast for all the senses, we enjoyed the dinner menu on our first night and the tasting menu the second night .

It is just sheer perfection a blend of all things wonderful, pleasing to the eye as well as to the palate , served so professionally by the wonderful and friendly staff .

Thank you all for this wonderful few days and I hope to visit again next year .

A unique hotel, even for Ireland. Beautiful setting and sea views. Michelen star restaurant onsite. Food is exceptional. Best chowder I've ever had in the bar. Beautiful pool and facilities. Can't say enough about this place. Will always return. Expensive, but you get what you pay for.
