I just have to say these wings here are hands down the best in missisuga! I have been cooking here for years and I have never been let down. When its pack or when its bit slow its always been the same experience for me. Staff is great and the food is wonderfully amazing keep up the great work!

I apologize in advance for the long review, but I ve got a lot to say. Apparently I have some deep-seeded issues to resolve here and I m going to air it out publicly but also anonymously because this isn t a good review and I m only protecting myself. I ve been going to the Clarkson Pump since I was in diapers back in the 90 s. I ve grown up on this place, I ve seen it through the many renovations who else remembers when they didn t really have a patio? Or when it was just the small, long, one unit property, where the guys would go for a brewski after the game in sweats and old t-shirts, not fancy pants suits and all?
I feel like saying we know the owners isn t an exciting statement anymore, the owners know everyone since this place has been around for 25+ years and has seen hundreds of thousands if not millions of clients & customers. However, we do in fact know the owners, which is partly why I m having a lot of inner turmoil on whether to post this or not, but then I thought that I would want constructive criticism about me/my job, if someone felt it used to be amazing and now it s not up to par.
Over the years, I ve noticed the quality of food has genuinely diminished. As a long-time customer, I would rant and rave about this place to people who would pass through Mississauga, people who came to visit from out of town, to people who moved to Mississauga if anyone brought up wings in a conversation, you can be sure that The Clarkson Pump has the best! was mentioned too. The food was absolutely fantastic. Even other things, like the burgers, they were juicy, delicious and flavourful, now are charred, dry and bland. The quality of food just is not what it used to be. These are just two examples.
This being said, I will always come back it seems I find myself craving those hot, grilled wings frequently. Which leads me to my 2 most recent experiences from this place.
My partner was hungry a little while ago, and because he s not from Mississauga, he decided that he wanted The Pumps wings, as I had previously shown him them months ago. The taste buds want what they want, what can I say? So because it was fairly late, we decided to order them through a mobile phone app. He ordered a single order of hot wings. One thing I will say, is that they arrived very quickly, not like, suspiciously quick, but like, efficiently quick. So that was nice since SOMEONE, and I won t say who, was very hangry . Upon eating them, as they definitely were edible, my partner commented on how he ordered them HOT, and they tasted very sweet. I stuck my finger in the sauce, since, well, there was A LOT left, and I agreed, it was almost sweet. Not a big deal, they were still good, just not the right sauce.
A few nights later, we went back again, this time we sat in-restaurant. He ordered the same thing again, a single order of hot wings, and when it came to the table It looked fine. The way the wings were laid out in the basket made it look normal. And then my partner picked up a few to eat and exposed what I can only describe as hot sauce soup. Just a big ol giant massive of hot sauce. Gooey, sticky, runny, messy, just all around gross. My partner didn t order them grilled, but even still, I have never seen anything like that before. We did notify the waitress, who was as kind as can be, and even agreed with us that it was disgusting. She got them grilled, and then even remade for us, which was very nice of her. I know this sounds a little ridiculous but this kind of thing has been happening for years now. There hasn t been a time in a while where we ve gone and haven t sent anything back to the kitchen or had a miserable experience with a waitress. To see this place that I genuinely LOVE, go from a solid 10/10 establishment to a soft 5/10 at best? It kind of hurts my heart a little. This is not the place I know, or should I say, remember. This doesn t feel like a bar & grill anymore, which, maybe that s not what the mantra for them is anymore, and that s fine!

Erin Mill's location is much nicer, but this is a good spot in a relatively dry location. I didn't eat there, but stopped in for a few pints. They have a solid selection overall, but I would like more of a focus on local craft rather than macro selections like MGD, etc.

We WAITED AN ENTIRE HOUR because seemingly there was a large party inside, but no one told us until we asked. And I was bitten by mosquito 3 times while waiting.
However, can't deny that the food was great, and for a fair price. Service was amazing too as they took off some items off our menu. But I would still hoped that we wouldn't have to waste an entire hour there. I would still visit but hopefully they can become better.

I had a wonderful vegetarian linguine dish for lunch--about $21. Unlike most pasta primavera dishes, the chef at Clarkson Pump & Patio did not drown the pasta in olive oil. I hate it when there's a pool of oil at the bottom of the bowl, making the last quarter of the dish inedible for me, since I don't like greasy food. This was lightly dressed, full of veggies, and VERY tasty. Service at noon time on a weekday was very slow, even though at the time we were there, there weren't many customers. The outdoor patio is pleasant, and there were shaded areas, as well as sunny ones. I would recommend this place. I would've given it 5 stars, but the waitress took half an hour to take our order.

Been ordering food from here for a local establishment for ages but we haven't for ages. Why you ask? Well quality has gone downhill, as well as quantity and service. When you order thousands of dollars of food for years from a place then stop all of a sudden, something dramatic must have happened.
I should have posted this months ago when all of this happened, but this companies loss is another companies gain.
I would recommend the Tim hortons and McDonald's across the street before you venture into the pump.

If you ever meet your "special someone's" parents, let me tell you, this is the place. Tell the waiter how you need some pro tips and he will surely help you out.

cheers to "George's table".

Very slow service. Waited for 40 mins. Waitress was very rude. Foods were terrible. Seems like very hurry to make the food. People waiting inside didn't wear a mask. Waitress didn't care. No social distancing inside restaurant. Too many people were inside like 10 people.

Usually a good experience, but on this occasion are server was terrible, she spent more time at the bar than she did tending to her customers. Took almost 15 minutes just to put our oder in. Then almost a half hour before we got our food. Most of the food was good except for the burger witch was dry as sand with no taste and a bun twice the size of the burger pattie. Not a good experience on my birthday.

Generally a good place to go for pub / bar style menu items. Wings are good and they have specials on a weekly basis. This time around - we found the food acceptable, but not what are used to at this location. One of the features menu items came back sold out after we ordered, so we had to back track and select another, and they couldn t make a mojito as they did mot have any mint. Our server did well with all the hick-ups and provided us a complimentary desert to share to make up.

Had a bad experience with breakfast, "in house made hollandaise" does not mean with fresh ingredients. How ever supper the last time we were there was awesome. The choice in beer is fantastic but maybe some more local crafters.
