The most important destination in Bethlehem.

The most important destination in Bethlehem.

Quite a surprise. The church is rather modest and there is not so much gold as in many other cathedrals (good). The silver star marks place where Jesus supposedly was born.

There are much less tourists in Bethlehem than in Jerusalem. I enjoyed this place.

Incredibly beautiful and full of history. My tour group enjoyed this church dedicated to the birth of Christ in the heart of Israel! Highly recommended as the tour guides were are locals with so much knowledge and all spoke perfect English! Loved my time in this country and this church was a favorite of our tour group!

When I came here four years ago, the church of Nativity was in reconstruction. Also there was a good crowd. Only the place where Infant Jesus was born could not be seen. As the Mass draws to a close, Quickly back from here with more places to see.

I Will be back another time .. Inshah allah

A truly holy place. Still undergoing restoration. A moving place to visit. You will enjoy it more if you visit it as a pilgrimage group with an official guide. The queues are long(2 hours minimum). But you should visit it at least once in your lifetime

A historical church, which is believed to be built above a cave in which Jesus was born. It is often a pilgrimage site for Christians. Thankfully, with an official guide, we were able to visit the actual cave within a short waiting time (probably 15 minutes or so). The hole to the cave was decorated with beautiful ornaments. The church also accommodates many historical articles, which was interesting. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.
