Great facility, clean, new. I never thought I'd be happy swimming a public leisure centre in elephant and castle 3 times a week but this has allowed me to vary my exercise regime and I'm very happy. The Pilates classes here are also brilliant.
Most staff are really rude and can t be bothered. Mistakes are made with bookings and no one cares. I ve given them a few goes but after the numerous mistakes and lack of customer care I won t be using this centre again - total disappointment and so frustrating as it could be good if only anyone there gave a monkeys about customer service.
The reception staff here are possibly the most abhorrent, surly and dismissive people I have ever met. Facilities are good but I'll never be going there again. I'll make an effort to tell people about my bad experiences.
Good as long as you can make use of the fitness area and swimming pool: Clean and spacious facilities as long as you can access them. The swimming pool is frequently overcrowded while they do not provide dedicated lanes for swimming. On weekends, most machines are in use in the fitness area.
If you are unemployed, self-employed or otherwise free to schedule your day, you should subscribe and schedule your day around your fitness activity. If you are not, you will rarely enjoy the centre.
Awful facilities, dirty, the costumers do whatever they want like eat while the are using the machines or even at the sauna, when is working obviously because most of the time is out of service. Nobody is looking after the costumers security. Broken lockers with doors holding nearly falling off, that s dangerous. Plus the big and uncontrolled amount of people that get in for free at the weekends, indescribable.
Worst gym in London. The reception staff are the worst I've ever experienced and the gym Itself is horrendous. Not worth going if you were paid to attend!!!
Everything is really old and shabby.
Changing room is small and dirty.
Many lockers got keys missing, so there is a good chance you won't get a locker even when there are plenty of them unused.
Locker needs 1 pound coin to use, so if you don't have one, you're screwed.
Every time I come to this gym I find the pizinaa closed and I would not recommend it to any persons
Facilities are amazing. I'm giving this a 2 star as the staff on the front reception really need some manners. They are so rude. Absolutely no idea how to deal with customers. There are two girls in particular that have a constant scowl on their face. It's such a shame as the other members of staff who organise the account set Up and also the gym staff are great. It's unfair that other members of staff bring the place down.
I gave a 4* to the castle as I play badminton there and made to feel welcome
Never had to ask for my money back from a gym. But what do you do when there's no lockers available and it closes in 30 mins? As in anywhere. Asked staff twice for help and got none. Went to the front desk and was told it was my fault. She almost wouldn't give me my money back, but she could see I was ready to cause a scene so she gave it to me... Worst gym ever.
The facilities are good. I don't want to comment for manager, because you will find out how F*k awful attitudes she will offer you when you have to talk to her.
Second point, cancellation policy is a big trap. CAREFUL WITH THAT!!!
