The Caledonian Club Review

It is a Scottish club in central London that has correspondence with other clubs such as the Bilbao club "La Bilbaina". You can not go if it is not through another club. Very cozy and very well located.

Not personal - your staff is lovely and very helpful, . However, it didn't work for me. There is no public area to sit and work as the bar is not open to guests - only for members I was told. The alternative I was given was a dingy basement (so called business centre). In the end, I had to go out in order to work for 20 minutes and have a coffee... What's the point? Any hotel can offer at least that for a similar room rate.

Very attentive staff. Lovely settings. Whiskys to die, great Scottish breakfast.

Classy, traditional, part of our heritage. Had the open fire lit yesterday very cosy.

Scots with a smattering of RP English. Home away from home. Can be a wee bit over the top on tartan, but great for gatherings down south.

Excellent - very comfortable, quiet club, not pompous, beautiful, peaceful and very nice food for reasonable prices. Nice fireplaces, whisky selection and themed dinner nights.

I was there for training so did not experience the full club ambience. I did feel like I'd returned to the last century which was comforting.

My favourite club in London. Admittedly, not a long list. True Scots hospitality, excellent food, very well priced wine and great service make for a formidable combination. It would be 5* but for the 1960s insistence on ties and jackets...

Nice venue but I urge caution when organising events there. Make sure everything is agreed in advance and watch the staff on the day of the event. They pad the bill with unauthorised items and make errors in billing that just add up. I do not feel the events team is very honest..

An unbeatable location for a wedding. The ability to use all rooms means that the reception, the meal and the dancing do not encroach on each other. The staff were wonderful, particularly Abigail whose organisation was priceless.

My fiance and I visited The Caledonian Club as a potential reception venue for our wedding. We really liked the venue and the professionalism and warmth of the staff we dealt with during the enquiry process. In the end, we decided to go for a different option, due to our budget restrictions, but I am sure that we would have had a great wedding reception at The Caledonian Club too, had we gone with the option.

The building is beautiful and feels very premium. There are many different room options, based on the type of event you have and space you need. Abigail was very helpful in answering any questions I had and arranging the visit.

Home away from home. Beautifully tucked away, this place has a lot of history and plenty of rooms. There is a bar, restaurant and the food is always amazing. It is a private members club,the staff are so friendly and welcoming and so are the members.

Nice place. Friendly staff. Feels exclusive. Good washrooms. Lunch is a bit messy grabbing a plate and standing around in very busy rooms with limited seating and old house layout.

Annuak alumni lunch for old boys of Beaumont College. A solid Scottish meal of smoked salmon followed by steak and kidney pie. Washed down with a robust red called Chateau Beaumont.

Splendid location in the heart of belgravia. Welcoming and cosy on a chilly autumn night with a definite hint of the Scottish Highlands.

I work here frequently as an external tech, the staff are friendly and polite and always on hand to help.

A splendid, traditional and elegant institution. I was privileged to share a reunion meal there.

I run the London Ag Club luncheons at the Caledonian Club each quarter. The staff is fantastic, the service provided is the best I've seen in London, and the food has always impressed our guests. We are thrilled to use the Caledonian Club for our events, and I have been there during several evening socials (birthdays and weddings) and I must say they have one of the two raised wooden dance floors that exist in the entire city of London in THEIR ballroom, and the guests at these weddings made great use of them! The club and its charming, Edwardian style architecture make it a true gem in the heart of Belgravia, London.

Mayfair very upmarket. Jackets and ties. Warm and welcoming in Scottish ambiance. Huge variety of Scotch Whiskies. Oasis of calm in the metropolis.

A ridiculous place but a must try if you have a friend who is a member or you are a Scot in London (but still need to get in with a member)

I ve been a member for more than three years and it s my home in London.. The fellow members are warm and friendly; the staff always pleasant and very accommodating. The facilities are very nice especially the members dining room, business center, men s changing room, bar and patio. The location is ideal, and the recent changes on our block - The Peninsula hotel, and the Forbes Mansion renovation- should make for an interesting 2020 and beyond
