Really terrible experience. The school missed its own self-imposed deadlines for communicating with parents by a long shot. And when they did communicate, it was totally lacking and insufficient. They did a really horrible job interviewing potential students. Did not do a proper assessment that should have been done which we watched very closely (and I would expect from any kindergarten/grade school). Didn't explain clearly their curriculum or educational processes when asked directly. When we went in to visit the school, they wouldn't even let us see classrooms or let us beyond the front office. Buckley is terribly overpriced, and overrated. I'd rather send my child to a random public school than this one. Steer away, look elsewhere.

My two nieces currently attend the Lower School at Buckley, and they LOVE it here! They're getting a strong, well-rounded education, which, to be honest, you could probably find at most other private schools of this caliber; what sets The Buckley School apart from the pack, so to speak, are the incredible teachers who truly care for their students, Buckley's encouragement of each child's creativity and learning style, and the vast array of diverse activities offered. Oh, and the absolutely stunning campus doesn't hurt, either!

I'm very disappointed by the "grade changing incident" that had taken place recently at Buckley. Furthermore, I've been consistently baffled by the blatant disrespect and prejudice by the staff towards certain students. They need to hire AP teachers who can properly prepare students for the exam, and put their money towards finding better staff than on new buildings. I'd never recommend this school to anyone ever again.

The Buckley School is AMAZING!!! They have beautiful classrooms and play yards. They also have a huge gym and a cafeteria that has delicious food. Everyone is so nice and caring and they make you feel right at home. Students are not just getting an education, but they are also taught social skills and life skills. The teachers are always willing to help in any way possible and they always have a loving heart. Buckley offers sports teams in 5th grade and continues through the last year of high school. Students get to pick from a variety of sports and they will always have a blast doings them. Not only will children come out of Buckley as educated young men and women, but as fun and caring people. This school will stick out from all the others and show what a REAL education is all about.

The Buckley School prides itself on having a 4-Fold Plan of Education - providing students with academic training, ability to participate in athletics, as well as having creative expression through the arts, and a strong moral education.
