I can't speak to the food, but great spot to go out on the weekend! There is no cover charge but be sure to get there before 9:30 as the line can get quite long. The place is a nice venue but can get uncomfortably crowded, especially on the ground floor. Definitely would recommend checking it out though!

Had a Groupon and decided to check the place out. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and atmosphere. I know some people said the music was "not to their taste", however for anyone who appreciates DJing, house music, funk, etc. the music was great and something you don't find everywhere. It provided a great addition to the overall ambience. Their Winedown Wednesday deal is awesome - so don't pass up that opportunity. Calamari, Buffalo Chicken Flatbread and Sliders were all delicious and cooked very well (and we're very picky about food preparation). We would definitely return!
Literally the worst food I've ever paid for. I work a little over a block away and figured I'd try their food delivered through GrubHub. I ordered home made basil gnocchi and buffalo meatballs. The gnocchi came burned and nearly inedible. If i was not extremely hungry I would have thrown it away. The meatballs were tiny and bland, doused in hot sauce, and maybe worth half of what they charged. I was thinking about doing an office happy hour on their patio but I'd be extremely embarrassed if my co-workers ate food like this on my suggestion. I'm considering ordering food from somewhere else now because I'm still hungry and i want to get this taste out of my mouth. I feel bad leaving this but $30 for that food dictates it.
I don't think they understand that a cocktail is supposed taste good, and just stick stuff that doesn't go together in the glass.

Popular let's-get-wild dungeon for college students and young professionals. I loved the crowd and how they reciprocate it with the limited entrance lounge in the basement. The vibe, ambience, drinks and DJ are bomb. I'll visit again and again

Wow. This place is amazing. Great quality food for an amazing price. My only regret is not discovering this place earlier. The tator tots alone were enough to get me back here. This would have been my go-to casual American place over Joe's American grill.
Nice bar/lounge. Food is good, and the cocktails are good, though I like the previous cocktail menu better. It's a bit dark in there which is nice and it's not super loud so you can still have a chat with a friend you haven't seen in a long time.
Nice aesthetic to interior. Decent service. Music was a tat too loud and the music choices from the DJ were questionable. Might be better to go in the afternoon or early evening when it's just a bar - made for a mediocre night club

I've always had a great time here! If you get here before 11, there's usually no line, and there's never a cover. I've never had a problem with the bouncers or the bar staff. The crowd is great and nobody had been particularly sketchy or grope-y, which is more than I can say for other clubs in the area. The water station downstairs is a big plus!
This is a good place to have a beer and stand around chatting with friends. They really know how to do bite-size, shareable food. Their decor, lighting, and furniture makes the place feel old and outdated. However, there is a unique look and feel to this restaurant which I appreciate.

It was scrumptious. I had the classic Margherita pizza. It was beautiful. My mom had the short rib meatloaf. And I ate more than half of it. She wasn't too happy about that because she wanted to eat it after a long day of walking. Now, back to the food. I personally thought that the brownie, toffee, pecan sundae was one of a kind! Had a great time there! Part of it is a bar, other part is a dance floor. DJ/music was amazing and the overall atmosphere was very enjoyable. Would reccomend it. Especially if you're not in the mood of waiting down the huge line of club cafe.
Staff was so rude here. I've never been treated so badly at a bar/club anywhere for doing absolutely nothing. My friend was scream at for waiting in line to get in the private room. Told him he was in the way and to stop standing in line. We were on a private party list and they wouldn't let in half of our party in after we paid money to reserve it. Will NEVER come back. Don't waste your time.
I think my review is biased so take it for what it's worth. I love going out to dance and I like to get dressed up. This place was good for both with no cover which is great! The interior is nice and looks just like the pictures. I got 2 dark and stormy's which were $10 a pop, not bad for a place in Back Bay. The crowd seemed relatively diverse for the Boston scene and the music was legit... All of which sounds amazing except I doubt I'll be returning anytime soon. My friends and I (about 9 of us- 4 ladies, 5 guys) spent approx. an hour waiting to get in as I watched countess groups of people get in ahead of us. While we were at the front of the line and were in better shape that some other people standing in line about a block long, I was still peeved. I'm usually a patient person but hell, it's January in Boston! Give me a break! Not to mention I watched one bouncer let in all his friends or associates or whoever who just crushed up and ask for a pass. Non discreetly at that!! Again, give me a break. Once we in ally get in, coat check is $3... Why oh why? Lastly, we had to wait downstairs until upstairs became available which stinks because there def. isn't enough room down there. Going back again? Nah, I'll pass but maybe it's your thing.
It's just ok, looks nice with the chandelier and the stairway downstairs.

We love hanging out. Yesterday we arrived in this superb place which friends told us about. We spent a lovely experience there with excellent food and an experienced team and a talented cook. We put this fine restaurant in our phone list and we will surely go again soon. We warmly recommend.
Slightly over priced and gets pretty crowded but their food and drinks are quite good. Best plan is to arrive early, eat some food and have a few drinks before they turn into a club and a line forms. Music is upbeat and lively and people here generally are just having a good time. Bathrooms downstairs are well kept usually as long as you make it down the somewhat off putting stairs.
I frequent this outstanding restaurant every couple of days since I love the good mood that is outline this place. The team is extraordianrillyremarkably welcoming and experienced. The service is extremely fast. Also, the food they serve is perfect. I frequent many times and I was always happy. The pay is modest. I highly suggest this restaurant to to everybody.
I enjoy going to the Brahmin after work for drinks and apps very much. Great drinks and awesome food. Food is always freshly prepared with fresh ingredients. Simple but delicious food. The waiters are so accommodating and helpful, even with large last minute groups coming in all at once.

I have been here both for a tapas-style dinner and on a weekend night for dancing, this place does both things very well! The music can take a little while to get good, but once it does the dance floor gets packed - and that's a good thing.

Their small plates are yummy and good to share. I had an off night once and contacted the managers, and they were very eager to correct the problem. Delicious and filling food and strong drinks. I have heard that they get very crowded on the weekend, but I've only gone on Rat Pack Tuesdays. The music is lovely and i love the restaurant. It's location is near the Copley stop, or the Back Bay Orange line station. I'd recommend this restaurant to others. They also have set course meals. They made an exception for me as their courses weren't vegetarian, but the vegetarian courses were extremely bland and I didn't have the heart to tell them otherwise. Otherwise, their normal menu carries really yummy food!
So I got at this bar and the bartender told me that I could sit down at any table so I could be helped and order food. I did that and guess what? No one took my order for like 30 minutes and when I finally got a server she told me that the kitchen was closed. I asked her to ask at the kitchen for make an exception and she was just rude, said sorry and walked away. Definitely not coming back!

We recently visited the Brahmin in the Back Bay and were incredibly surprised. The cobblestone street made me feel as if I was visiting a small intimate restaurant in Paris. The atmosphere was superv and the food was fantastic. Every detail was perfect from the tablecloths, leather seats, incredible lighting and wonderful soulful music. The staff was incredibly friendly. The drinks were great and the food was prepared by a food artist. The steak was perfect.
