Food made fresh and friendly people on a busy Saturday!

Food is just ok would be great if my food was served hot! Fries were hot I had chili dog And a bacon dog both were slightly warm. Cold buns and cold chili and cold cheese. Have to think twice before visiting again

This place has some of the best food I've had in Michigan city, the chili cheese burger, cheese fries and chili were top notch, would definitely return!

Very pleasant staff! Young lady with braids was exceptionally sweet! Food was good & hot! The cheese curds & onion rings were great, battered not breaded! My son had a burger that he said was great! I had the pulled pork sandwich that was also good! Get the cream soda!

Amazing! Lemonade is really good, not homemade tasting but still really good. Kids loved it, plus sitting outside! Staff is really really nice!!!

BEST BURGER IN MICHIGAN CITY! Great service and friendly staff. Also great French fries!!! The prices are incredibly reasonable and you get great portions. Check this place out, you won t regret it.

I tried the boathouse for the first time and was happy with my visit! I went thru the drive thru which could use an update but the food itself was awesome! I got a cheeseburger and cheesy fries. Very good.

Good food, good people, and worth a longer wait- because it's not fast food, its fresh food! Loved the bbq pulled pork sandwich made with fresh smoked meat, and the italian beef is killer! And they have Red Creme soda- I can't get that anywhere else, and that's my favorite! Highly recommend trying it, it'll become your new burger joint easily.

Not a good place to eat. Crazy over priced for what it is and it was hotter than hell in the restaurant. I suggest if you are going to price your food the same as a sit down restaurant then Atleast make it feel like it s worth the price. 13 dollars for a cheeseburger and tasteless cheese fries. I won t be coming back for a long time.

Let me first start with a cliff note version of this restaurant: 5*****. I first met the owner by a mutual friend, we started talking and he told me I had to come try his restaurant out, now typically people tend to toot their own horn. However this was not the case here. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger and all I can say is you have to try it, it is one of the freshest burgers I ve had, found out his meat is ground fresh every morning from the butcher down the street. Service was great and the whole place was spotless. I will be back every time I m in the area. The boathouse grill just procured a spot on my bucket list indefinitely!!

This was one of those you have to try it places and I did and I will be going back there to eat again.

Excellent grill! From the chicken soups to fish & chips to burgers to salads...buy my favorite is their huge pork tenderloin sandwich! Great food for a reasonable price. Wish I had taken more pictures. A must try in Michigan City! They even have a drive-thru!

Pleasantly surprised! This little gem is just a block from Lighthouse Premium Outlet Mall. We enjoyed fast, friendly service, good food, and the restaurant was immaculately clean! They have both indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking. Great place to take the kids, really family friendly and affordable. Give it a try, you'll be glad you did!

First time there since owners changed! Omg phenomenal! The portion size was huge price was wonderful! Food taste wonderful great place to patronize! It's rare to find a shrimp po' boy on a menu in the midwest, it was great; quality shrimp. Friendly & clean environment.

Way over priced for the quality and the amount of food you get!!

Food served in 2 minutes. Cold bun flavorless and lukewarm chili and cheese. Not impressed.

Chicago dog was soooooo big and soooooo good! Summer food fix for sure! The hot dog was hanging off the side also. My wife got the pork tenderloin and that was the best we ever had!! Very clean place and very good food!

This is a very nice place for casual dining. I love the hot dogs and pulled pork sandwich. Can't wait to try the rest of their menu items. The staff is very warm and friendly also which was great.

Frys taste good but pork tenderloin was funny tasting like it had gone bad so i stopped eating it. Might try again but $13 i had good frys. Kinda risky to try again. Sad to see Top dog gone.

This is by far the best hot dog joint in town. From the bun, to the huge hot dog, to the toppings every part was fantastic!!!!!!!

Warm potato soup and a couple Chicago Dog's on a cold day hit the spot.

Fish sandwich, sweet potato fries and chili cheese fries were all hits. Hot dogs and polish were not hot and were a weird grey color on the outside. The bottoms of all the buns in our order were hard except theChicago dog bun, it was soaked and mush. Polish were ordered with chili and cheese, they had neither. Chili cheese dogs were ordered with onion, they had none. Onion rings did not come with the added cheese cup. Our first and last time here. Hope everyone else has a better experience.

Food was good. The bun was fresh and needless to say the hot dog soaked through. Service at the counter was excellent.

First time eating here...very good food...hamburgers are fresh made...cheese curds were fantastic...customer service was great..wish I lived closer because they would be top on my list of favorites

A little but of family, community, vacation, and sailing takes you to a place where the food is tasty, the prices reasonable, and the conversation uplifting. Previously Top Dog, but still the best place for a Chicago Dog in town!!

The food came out great, very short wait. Big fan of the mozzarella sticks. Definitely will be visiting again soon.

Wish I could give The BoatHouse Grill 10 's - such a great local restaurant! Always a smile on everyone's face, they make the best burgers in town and their cheese fries are amazing! Yummmmmmm!

Food is good tastes good but has been going down hill. Last two times I ordered food I got and Italian beef with cheese fries and a drink and it was 15.40. I was fine paying that before but now they have cut the meat in half and barley enough fries to cover the bottom of the box. I think if they cut down on boxes to put there stuff in and not so fancy cups they could cut cost down some. But to start cutting food in half is not acceptable. Food is good but they just need to make some changes.
