The Blue Crab Restaurant Review

Our amazing waiter (Thomas C) assisted us greatly. He was very attentive and took care of us consistently throughout the duration of our meal. We changed tables about two times due to the weather to which he allowed us to do. The food did take some time but definitely worth the wait! It was delicious and hot. If you come here, order the oysters no matter what. There is beautiful outdoor seating that overlooks the lake. There was live music while we ate.

The food was horrible, I went their pre COVID-19 and the food was delicious. Not to mention I drive from the Westbank to get this food and it was horrible. Beware the fried soft shell crab and the oysters are horrible, not sure because of the month we are in, but this food had my stomach hurting. My husband refused to eat it. They should be ashamed to sell this food to anyone.

It's pricey, but good! We arrived around 4:30 and the outside seating was a 30 min wait, so we sat inside...we were the only ones. If you're sitting by the window you get a good view. By the time we left, it was packed. They were short More

We were very disappointed in our dining experience. First, service was not great. Took over an hour to get our food. This included the appetizers. There was a hair in/ on one of my fried oysters. When brought this to the waitress's attention I was told that it wasn't anyone in the kitchen because they all had dreads or were bald. She brought me a fresh one. No other hairs were found. The hushpupies were raw in the middle. Again the waitress's blew us off. The manager was not contacted. We were all disappointed in the experience. Will not be returning and will not recommend to anyone. I do have pictures of our findings. Very expensive for a meal that could not be eaten.

They had some of the best chargrilled oysters I have ever tasted... Our food came closer to cool than hot and we talked to the manager who was really helpful as well as the waitress who served us too. Place was right by the water and seating outside is even better than indoors. Will highly recommend this place

I was very happy with our dinner here. The drinks were so good, with the exception of the last one that was way too strong. We had soft shell crab which was perfect and my grilled veggies were amazing!
Last but not least, the Brocato's salted caramel was bomb. Highly recommend plus the view is wonderful!

We arrived at approximately 4pm on a Saturday with a party of 2. I phoned for call ahead seating and we were seated within 10 minutes of arrival. All the food was delicious but the service was slow. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable. The scene over Lake Pontchartrain was breathtaking!

We were expecting a long wait and slow service because we know many restaurants are short staffed. However, the waitress's attitude needed a serious adjustment. We had a table of 13. Most of us ordered alcohol, appetizers, and entrees which amounted to a large tip. You would think that we could have got a drink refill or ordered a drink without an attitude and an eye roll. We were there for close to 3 hours, mostly because the wait of the food, and only refilled our drinks after having to hunt her down. I ordered 3 cocktails and her response was, " you know I have to get them, do you really want them." I get that there is a staffing issue, but I'm pretty positive having one less server is better than having her around.

Least accommodating restaurant I ve ever been to. Food is mediocre. Seafood wasn t locally sourced. Frozen. Cheesy biscuits were anything but cheesy. Very sad. view is nice.

They have some of the best crabs I have ever eaten. My husband always loves getting their charbroiled oysters. Lots of times we will share our plates together and have so much delicious food to eat between us. They have so many good things on their menu so just order half the menu on one visit, and the other half on your next visit.
