Great staff. And there always to be things to take...
Great staff. And there always to be things to take home. I left with some whole foods plants and got to put a smile on my wife's face AND help save lives.

Blood donation itself was good and staff were friendly, however dealing with their administrative team has been a nightmare. I have been trying to get them to resend some certified mail that was delivered to the wrong address (postal service mistake) and I've been contacting them every week for the last month and they promise to resend it and it never arrives. They say they'll have someone call me back and they never do. I'm beyond frustrated. If I can't donate blood I need to know why!!
Donated 17 of my many pints at this location - almost always very skilled nurses, with short waits, and fun events. It's THE local blood bank of Austin; more week redirected in the area than Red Cross. Save a life!
Everyone here is fantastic the staff are caring and professional. If your blood type is AB like mine, you should call them as you are the universal *donor* for plasma (no, that's not a typo).
Safe a life, get free cookies. What more could you want?
BTW, yes it does tend to be a bit chilly. I always bring a hat, but you can also start out with asking for an electric blanket and "hot glove."
I am an O- donor, which means I interact with this blood center ALOT. I basically try to donate everytime I can.
The staff here has always been nothing but friendly. They make you feel really amazing when you donate and kind of make you feel like a hero (which you are! Donate today!).
Helpful staff and a clean waiting room/cantina makes this my favorite blood center I have ever donated at.
Extremely friendly staff! Made the entire experience enjoyable and worthwhile.
Friendly from the minute you walk in the door. It's a fun and clean environment and my phlebotomist was super cool!
I have been diagnosed with high RBC and my doctor sent an order to this company for a phlebotomist and I am going on 2 weeks with 3 orders sent by my doctors office, 6 phone calls, 3 voicemails to this facility with a someone to call back to set appointment. Still waiting.
I hope when they finally get me in I will be treated differently.
Friendly staff and always super quick with my appointment!
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I've never once had them miss a vein or anything. Plus free snacks!
As good an experience as you can have when getting stuck in the arm with a needle! Everyone is super friendly and efficient. The man who took my blood was so warm and very careful. I always get an ugly bruise, but this time there was barely even a dot visible the next day!
They doing great job 2 time I want their Avery person doing great job
Our high school hosted a blood drive and it was good up until they used a needle that was way larger than my veins and it took a bit over an hour to do a whole blood donation. with help from 3 people holding my tubes, needle and putting me in a blood pressure cuff to try and help. In all I wish they gave these mobile blood trailers some varying sizes of needles to help thoes of us with small veins avoid getting poked several times Or having to sit there for ages just to donate. Not bad though just got annoying having to sit there for so long.
I have to say that the mobile units are much more efficient. I ve been here at the N. Lamar Center for over half an hour already and they haven t taken me back for the blood draw yet.
Very good service. I took my 3 and 5 year old kids to watch and the staff was very accommodating. I didn t have an appointment, just walked in. The cantina has good volunteers and snacks. I look forward to donating here again soon.
An amazing organization that serves the entire Central Texas community! They have a friendly staff and cool partnerships/campaigns with local businesses to encourage donors to come in regularly.
The staff and facilities are nice, however the entire process is unacceptably slow. After checking in, filling out my paperwork, and waiting 45 minutes I asked the front desk how much longer it would be before I could start donating blood and was told that it would be another 30 minutes. In comparison it only took 15 minutes from the time I checked in to the time I started donating blood with the Red Cross in Pennsylvania.
The staff are friendly, upbeat, and really professional. They make my visits a nice little break in the day instead of yet another boring appointment. Also, please donate blood! Donated blood saves lives every single day, and one of them could be your own.
I witnessed a disappointing experience in one of the mobile sites. Blood pressure cuff was not available in the correct size leading to inaccurate readings. It was redone multiple times until it reflected a safe BP to draw blood from. When he asked about the BP staff snapped, "Not my job follow up with your PCP". From a health services standpoint, that's a dangerous perspective to have. Staff clearly knew the readings were inaccurate because they eventually continued to draw blood. I recommend coming better prepared next time and maybe with a kinder attitude for patients.
Really friendly, nice, and cooperative. Really make you feel appreciated.
I agree with previous poster! Great staff! Emily, you are awesome. I've had you before for RBC's and today tried to do plasma. Didn't feel the stick at all and you seated the needle great. Unfortunately, running the morning of a donation is a silly thing to do and dehydrated me. Upon returning the 1st cycle of RBC to me, my vein started to leak a little into the bend. You had stepped away immediately to get (a supervisor?) and both of you immediately shut the return off and agreed it wouldn't work today. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of your work. Good job!! Will be back when I can!
Doing mobile donation today, these guys are always Awesome...
Great place to donate. Clean and staff is very friendly.
Great staff. Lots of cookies. Makes you feel good donating and helping others.
I love this place! Staff are amazing. Just wish it was open later so I could go easily after work.
It was supposed to be a stop on 'bike to work day' I must have been too early...
Great staff, great purpose. In usually donating platelets so I'm usually there for quite some time . The team is very attentive. Makes sure we're warm enough, checks to see if you want snacks or drinks
I've been here prob 5 times. Friendly, professional staff that make this an almost painless experience
Thanks for the opportunity to support and be part of the community. Everyone who works here is amazing! Thank you so much
The process was simple and easy to go through. I'm glad to give blood somewhere to help my local community. And there's free food at the end like always.
These guys are nice and professional. When I go I usually just walk in and I'm usually done within a half hour. I've had some good conversations with the staff here, so it's never a boring visit for me. I have never been improperly "sticked" (that I know of) and I've never had any kind of complications. Plus they offer awesome incentives all the time, like icecream and other snacks. So you help save a life and get free snacks! What could be better than that?
