Seen some good shows here. Some might so most balanced sound system in town
One of the last small places to see live music in Vancouver that isn't a total dive. The staff, beer selection, and sound system are all satisfactory
Shonen Knife last Vancouver show was here 9/9 2010
Wow! Was here last month for the Bieber after-party, and it was amazing. So many beautiful people all having a great time and all getting totally plastered. Will definitely return.
Btw, this is a dance club with loud music, so if that's not your scene check out the bar next door.
Getting pretty long in the tooth but one of the last small venues for shows in Vancouver. Come early to snag one of the velvety booths (thankfully very dark so you can t see what stains might be lurking)
Nice
We attended a stand up comedy Nemr
Amazing show
Good to go see a show, not a fan of the DJ for dance night
We had a great time seeing Tove Styrke at the Biltmore! The venue was perfect. We were able to find seating easily and the drink line was attended to quickly. I did read in other reviews that there were "cheap drinks"- we found pricing to be at industry standard. Parking was easy to find. We had a fantastic evening- thanks!
Sean aka best bartender ever delivered an exceptional customer experience. He provided great company, cocktails, and conversation. 12/10 would recommend.
Hit or miss nights. Better music. Young fun crowd. No downtown douche vibe. Ok prices.
I came here to see some live music (which was fantastic). The place was packed. It was very difficult to see the band. People were climbing on benches to see over each other's heads. The heat and humidity were not unbearable but definitely uncomfortable. When it was time to leave, the enormous crowd (possibly too enormous for the venue) squeezed out through a single-width back door (the exit had two doors, but one door was locked) while people were turned away from the front door where thay had come in by security staff. If there had been a fire (not unheard of at concerts in basement bars), I worry that it might have had tragic results. I will avoid the Biltmore in the future.
As a performer in burlesque and a patron...it is a great venue. Always a fun time.
This venue is nice and open and quite large. If you get there early you can get a good spot up front. The stage is almost ground level so it's very intimate. Sound quality is great for what it is and the drink prices aren't outrageous. Lots of local craft beers on tap.
Nice atmosphere, nice music, nice drinks & beers, lighting low enough to play discretely, Wink , Wink ;) for those about to Die, We salute you, ;)
Excellent sound. Friendly staff. Love the layout of this venue, you never know what famous person you'll bump into.
Cozy, local, fairly clean, and great shows. Seems pretty low-key at first, but the shows can get wild.
pretty cool place, the interior have a nice classic/modern style and the stage is big enough for a medium size band.
One of a few places in Vancouver that still has live music.
okay venue, with certain shows its not so great because of their low stage, the only way you could see whats happening on stage is of you were up front or on the sides.
Great venue for live music! Low key, easy going atmosphere and great sound.
Often has no cover charge depending on the event or perhaps the hour- which is great, earning them four stars instead of three. It would have been three stars due to how empty it can be sometimes. Overall, a night at the biltmore is a hit or miss, but is a miss without grief due to having no cover.
Nice room, had really good sound. I enjoyed the decor and pinball cabinets.
Fun party, great DJs! There was a $10 cover charge, but well worth it for the event and reasonable drink prices.
all my favorite acts have put on shows here, great sound and its intimate as frick
It is not a hit, it is not bad either. Amateur comedy night ... several good groups and others not so good. The area is safe, the chairs are not comfortable and the beer is more than average in Vancouver.
Great service and a great venue for stand up comedy. Arcade games perfectly add to the vibe
Great programming and character filled venue with friendly door staff.
Been twice in the last couple months, once for trivia night and once more recently for a music show. Both times were a lot of fun. Staff were really awesome and we had a great time!
Great club! I had so much fun! Unusual music and good alcohol prices.
Saw hotel mira here and they killed it was an amazing show
If you're looking for a dirty club with no debit card machines and simple not fancy drinks then you've ended up on the right place.
Bouncers are sound, bar staff are fast at getting drinks to you and there are pinball machines for some reason. You'll have a good night
Good venue for concerts. The sound is quite nice and the ambience is perfect. The stage is quite cozy and you can get quite close to the performers.
The Biltmore was a fantastic evening, where hospitality is the focus
Vancouver is by far the friendliest city I 've ever had the chance to visit..
Was a lot of fun for a cheap price, but the DJ was terrible that night.
Really great venue. Just wish the stage and ceiling was a foot or two higher.
Had a fun time with my friends. They had good music and a cool atmosphere.
A decent sized venue to watch bands play. You can get really up close and personal to the band and the sound isn't as bad as expected. The problem is that the stage is at floor level because the ceiling is so low. This means that people standing in the back can't really see the band. The stage is also a fair size but for larger bands (more than 5), it will get cramped. Lighting is adequate but not good because again, the ceiling is too low. I'll still be catching bands here in the future.
Went and saw The Escapes and Royal Oak. Pretty good, and nice alcohol service
First time at the Biltmore! Nice ambiance for the show . Sound was excellent.. Layout was good.. Only complaint would be how damn hot it was in there!!
Good selection of beer (Fat Tug IPA!) and a great place to check out some awesome shows
There to see Sawyer Fredricks. Super laid back. Bands were mingling with the crowd before and after their sets. Fun evening!
Terribly run. Wouldn't allow you to leave out the front door, instead, you had to navigate through the entire crowd to leave out the back door.
If you want to actually SEE the band on stage you have to be in first couple of rows or wear stilts because the stage is very low due to the really low ceiling. You'll spend the whole time staring at the back of someone's head (see photo of when I went to "see" Russian Circles there). Very unfortunate as they often have great bands play there :(
Gets very loud during concrets. Good idea to get ear plugs, they have it in coat check.
Super fun place to go dance and chill. Classy red velvet lounge seating and funky atmosphere. Great music and events... Awesome place!
Cool intimate venue to see bands. Sound was terrific!
Comfy spot to see a band. Get the seats to the right of the stage for a better view of the stage.
Great place to go if you want to get into a fight and punch and knock people to the ground . ....security won't do anything .
Charming venue, I enjoyed the cabaret aesthetic, with wall hangings, string lights, and booth seating. I enjoyed the live music a lot too, people were lively even on a Thursday night.
It was good! Not too crowded but had a good vibe and some good tunes! Shots were 5$ so good price overall
Good dancing, drinks are reasonable and staff is friendly! The funk night was the best!
Good vibe at this place. It's run well and they have a great set-up!
Beautiful venue, great sound system, and friendly staff.
best small venue for bands that I've been to. cheap tickets and good selection of live music
Lied and said there was a foto automat but there wasn t....
Great Venue, I loved the atmosphere - a comfortable environment and good vibes. The sound quality was also amazing. I will most definitely consider returning
Great venue! Been here multiple times for various concerts, however, the drink selection isn't my favourite.
Love this venue, it give you a chance to be close and connected to the music
Great venue, affordable. Helpful staff. We had a very successful event their and everything worked out great.
This place was a little hard to find, but I love it here!
The stage is perfect and makes for very intimate and fun shows
There is a decent selection of beer
The bathrooms are heavily covered in graffiti but that sort of adds to the charm in my opinion
