The staff at this hotel are amazing. The place is well maintained. The lobby and first floor are very upscale,done in all wood. My only complaint was the bathroom was small. Our breakfast and dinner were marvelously done and presented. Everything was delicious
beds don't hurt you back. but could be softer (i like sink in soft). I would say a great semi-firm mattress. staff is great. valet parking it $8 and hour or $42 a night. most place are still semi closed for covid. the Palm restaurants burger and fries are great.
hate places that overcharge you without sending receipt. Low cost tricks for a posh place.

Just the most amazing, gorgeous, and absolutely stunning hotel in Portland. The amenities are top notch, its located right next to El Gaucho aka the best steakhouse in Portland, and right across the river, so easy access to both side of Portland. Awesome job as always for quick service and the staff is amazing!!
Every bit a 5-star hotel in my opinion. The staff couldn't have been better, the hotel is a piece of living history, it's very well maintained and in a convenient location downtown. There is a $30 amenity/resort fee each day but you can make it worthwhile if you take advantage of the breakfast, social hour and snack credit.
Excellent customer service from staff like Bobby Wong. I stayed at the hotel for the first time for five nights during a professional conference and I loved every minute of my stay. My bed was big and comfy and the french toast at the Palm Court was delightful!
The room was comfortable, the beds too. We were there for a wedding and spent time in the bar area for breakfasts and Happy Hours. Special customer service mentions to Bobby Wong, Sandy, and Jonah. Very friendly, helpful, and inviting staff.
A great hotel. We wanted a"vintage" hotel and found this one. Rooms are very nice.Biggest plus is the lobby bar/restaurant. In the evening you can have either dinner or just apps with a drink. Breakfast served there was excellent. Lox and bagels for me. Reasonably priced for hotel dining.
Unless you are over the age of 60 and don't care about things like amenities or a knowledgeable concierge or decent hospitality I would not recommend staying here. I wanted to believe the shortcomings I experienced were due to the pandemic and the hotel possibly being short staffed, but I observed elder guests being treated the way I anticipated being treated when I booked my vacation here, which made it pretty awkward. The hotel itself is pretty, but for the same price you can book a luxury Airbnb and not have to deal with a rude staff.
