Do not recommend. Service was very poor and the food was also poor. We only expected pub food, but even that was not good. Soup of the day was likely from a Can, salad was missing ingredients, fries with cheese is more like fries with cheez whiz, to name a few. To top it all off, the service was awful! She didn t get all our orders and could not split the bill saying that she didn t remember who had what and that it was just easier to split evenly. We didn t leave a tip and server asked why... we told her we were not happy with service and she just walked away. Would not recommend.

This place has the best burgers. The pizza is also fantastic, the "Shredder's Extreme" is always my favorite. The kids love the chicken tenders, and usually get them with cheese fries. Wonderful soups and dinner offerings finish this place out. With a good bar, and slope side location, this is the best place to eat at Sugarloaf, lunch or dinner.

Good hearty bar food. If you go there expecting something else, you will be disappointed, like I was. Burgers and beer are their best things, and those are truly excellent. A lovely waitress (am I allowed to use that word?) recommended their pizza as the best in Maine. She was a very nice lady, but she needs to get off the mountain and eat some good Italian. It was terrible. Stick to the bar food and you will have a good time.

Best all around restaurant at Sugarloaf. Great atmosphere, great food, great drink. Despite a very crowded house during President's weekend, the house got our family of four seated and fed in a shorter time than they expected. Staff was great. Great all around! Best overall value

A great pub. Tasty food fairly priced, $3.50 drafts during happy hour, tasty warm cocktails, and a great lineup of beer made right here on the mountain. You can see the brew area from a few angles to watch the liquid magic being made. A must anytime you are skiing at Sugarloaf.

Manager of this restaurant puts her rules before her customers. And she treats the customers like they are school children and she is the principal who scolds them if they step out of line. Very sad. We will never eat at this restaurant again. Would recommend you, the reader, do the same.

Spent a week at Sugarloaf on a ski trip. Went to this restuarnt several times. Staff was very friendly, however the food was below average. Each time my meal was barely warm. French fries tasted old. My hamburger was way over cooked and tasted like it was a few days old. On a positive note, the beer selection was good.

No better place at Sugarloaf for food! The Burger is amazing, the fries are incredible but the house sauce is where it is at! Always ask for extra house sauce when you get your burger and fries!

I loved it! The menu was a single page with all excellent choices. I had their "local favorite" and it was well worth it. The place is very nice looking as well. Fairly inexpensive for being in a Ski-Resort.

The way to end a great meal at the Bag and Kettle is with a maple creme brulee. That's the most outstanding creme brulee I've had. The Bag Burger was once again right on cook to the way I like it.

Skied Sugarloaf and two of us split the Quad Lift Mountainous Sandwich on rye swirl with kettle chips, not only delicious but nearly too much for two. Reuben is also great. Bag has been our fave at the Loaf for 37 years.

I had my first Bag Burger when I was 3 and I look forward to one every year. They have the most distinctive taste of any burger I've ever tasted and the secret sauce with curly fries is the BEST I've ever had. The atmosphere is the perfect acomanyment to any day on the slopes or on the golf course.

We drove up to check out the views, did the chair lift ride at Sugarloaf then had lunch here. I was expecting typical pub food, but my brick oven pizza was really, really good!! My husband said his reuben sandwich was the best he has had (which he previously said at a restaurant we tried a month or so ago, guess it's been dethroned!) And the curly fries were really good! We would definitely go back here even though I found the service to be inattentive for a slow day.

Who the f$#% do you think you are to tell me I can't have actual real BACON on my burger??? "We only serve pepperoni as a bacon replacement, I'm sorry sir." Yet you have BACON on you pizza toppings??? Put the BACON ON THE BURGER WHEN REQUESTED! I even offered to pay ANY UPCHARGE and the waitress still refused!

Awesome pub - great food, great service! We went to The Bag for lunch every day during our week-long visit and we were never disappointed.

The Bag Burger may be famous, but their chili is to die for. Perfect spot to grab a bite when you need a break from the hill!

My only regret is that I didn't get a t-shirt :)

I've been to The Bag & Kettle Restaurant twice now. It is a good place to eat if you are at the ski area. Both times I went the place was packed, but the staff handled it well and provided good and personal service.

They are closed for months... they refuse to change the hours on google. Just wasted precious time and gas driving over there to see that they lied... Also destroyed our tires, because sugarloaf decided they wanted to tear the whole access road up.

Nice slope-dide restaurant and burger place: good food, good service, decent selection of local brews. Outdoor patio area is great place to camp out during summer visits. Slope-dide prices prevail year around, but the food is significantly above average to make it worth a visit.
