The Ambbasodar Mumbai. Review

A very old timey hotel with friendly staff. Transports you to the good old days. Although that's also it's downside. Everything is slightly too old. I guess it's past Thier time to modernize a bit. The food at the restaurants was okay. Nothing to write home about. Al in all a decent experience.

Enjoying the stay. Excellent location (bring your jogging shoes to do your morning walk in the marine drive). Well maintained bathroom. Decent restaurant with a good spread.

What is the point if one can not sit on the top floor.

Poor one....don't prefer triple rooms...simply they will give extra bed... rooms are not spacious....not a preferable choice

Old..classic ... And a veteran.... Felt happy... Though the facilities or amenities are not like modern day 5 star hotels... But you'll feel awesome after staying here... The staff is courteous... Rooms are a lil small.. but it really doesn't matter... View from window is mesmerizing... I can promise

The food is nice then the environment is good it is a luxurious place.

Hotel property is not modern but good. At breakfast found cinnamon rolls and croissant cold hard and smelling of rancid oil.

Stayed 3 nights because my preferred hotel was full. Very run down rooms that need serious refurbishment. Strange room design with the bed on a mezzanine floor, but lack of night lighting meant I nearly slipped down the steep steps. Great location, could be a much better hotel.

Awesome inter view of room and hotel and good service.

Very classy place. It's location is easily accessible and it's right next to churchgate station too, near the Marine drive. Lobby has a relaxing atmospere and it's very easy to just enjoy the place. Staff are pretty chill in my experience

Location is really good, had been there for a buffet dinner, the price is very affordable however the quality and the variety of the buffet can be made a lot better.

A heritage hotel, just outside of Churchgate station, courteous staff, good service, delicious breakfast.

Luxury room, clean, clean bathroom with warm water, very warm, with bathtub to sleep The staff were smiling and gave good hospitality. Breakfast Food is not varied. But considered quality Like that you can order fried eggs and omelettes as much as you want

Staff are very attentative. The pricing on food is very high in comparison to other hotels nearby. The grading of the hotel is not correct. It should be about 3/5 to 4 star. They need hoteliers to manage place and not businessmen, classic case of profits first. The revolving restaurant gas been closed for past 5years, according to locals it will not open again and we booked on face value via web: makemytrip.

Stayed here recently and updated the review. Well, this was one of the very good hotels 10 years back. Now its down in the dumps. Their main attraction the revolving restaurant is not functioning. The view was superb from here, especially when matches are going on in Brabourne Stadium. The food was also very good. Now they make do with the coffee shop and restaurant on ground floor. Both of them are quite ok and nothing extraordinary bout them.

The rooms are good now. Comparable to a 4 star hotel. The LED TV with HD channels is quite good with latest features.

Breakfast is ok. Definitely not comparable to the likes of Taj, Oberoi or Trident

But hotel still in desperate need of renovation in most areas.

The staff are friendly and attentive. Great infrastructure. Close to everything.

Nice old style hotel. Few mins walk to Nariman point and Church gate station and Brabourne stadium . Also a short auto or taxi ride to Gate way of India. The food at the hotel restaurant is very nice and the staff is very courteous and helpful.

Good clean hotel, well located for cricket and Marine drive strolls. Nice buffet breakfast with attentive staff. Decent enough facilities in the neighborhood.

Residential Hotel with good accomodation and restaurants

Very very bad food at Flavous they gave us stale food and did not even say sorry or asked if we wanted something else please don't go it's a waste of money

wonderful place. If you are lucky you can see virat kohli lofting a ball towards you from the brabourne Stadium. We had a wonderful view of the stadium from the room.

Very nice well maintained hotel. The room area is quite big and the complete interior is a perfect blend of historical and modern architecture. You will have a complete different experience staying here as it has all d modern amenities and interior with a essence of historical hotel.
The best part is it's location, being the nearest hotel to Marine Drive i.e., Queen's Necklace you can have a beautiful view of Marine Drive from your Room.
The only thing for which I was most excited but missed was it's attractive Revolving Restaurant at the top floor which is now permanently closed.

Location is Super Excellent. Very Adjacent to fabouls Marine Drive.Hotel rooms' interior is mixture of modern and contemporary which doesn't appeal anyway. Most of dark colour used everywhere.Reception staff is die-hard english speaking and not much interested in to welcome the guest. Ventilation system is not so good but above all, at very good location which attracts you to be there!!!

A very good hotel with courteous staff, neat rooms, quick service. Good array of TV channels, good wifi. Was able to accommodate request to check in earlier and check out later. Few metres from Marine drive where you can hangout forever.
