I read 1984 in 1987 (8th grade) and studied Russian and went to the USSR because of it. I was concerned how someone who supported a socialist could direct this profound story. Mr. Robbins honored Mr. Orwell's work and the REAL people who died, suffered and continue to be punished because of non-conformity. Will Thomas McFadden delivered a performance on a level that I have only experienced once in my 46-years (The Phantom on Broadway like 2015 maybe, he made my 13-yr-old daughter cry out of passion). The entire Actors' Gang 1984 experience is pure passion!

1984 was a gripping, yet simple production. When Tim Robbins finally arrives on scene you are overcome with the realization that we are meek followers... That truth and virtue will never overcome. I wish I could tell you it all turns out ok. I wish I could tell you that life is fair and all will be well....
What I can tell you is that this is a theatre worth buying a ticket to see any show they make...

Cool theater that presents interesting and diverse shows/plays. Also, such a great theater space, warm and welcoming vibe, kind staff and an overall great local theater! I really recommend this place to any local theater "junkie" that would like to see some quality, local theater on the Westside of Los Angeles!

This place is just amazing. The shows, the actors, the vibe, the theater itself! The first show I saw here was Tartuffe and since then, I haven't missed any single one. This company rocks!

Saw "Harlequino" last night and it is supremely entertaining.
Best kind of play; talented, engaging actors, comedically presenting historic events that are relevant to the world today. The play then shines a light in the direction to proceed once the play is over. Remember the saying, Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
Set is unique in its spareness, which allows the audience to watch an actor on the "sidelines." This gives an unexpected layer to the production, that enriched my experience. The audience can see the reaction of actors on the sidelines, responding to the actors on-stage.
Tim Robbins and The Actors Gang is quickly becoming a National Treasure and an oracle for our strange times.
