Huge park, and it would be so helpful to have signs pointing to the location of fields. The concession stand was closed, it was so hot and Im sure people would have appreciated having that option
Needs to have fields watered down so people with allergies can enjoy it also.
Right off the highway and a great place to make priceless memories
3&2 is great for the kids, but as one not familiar with the fields was disappointed in the lack of signs or mapping to find the field I was looking for. Thought I knew where I was going from a search on the website, it was wrong. Inquiring at the office was not helpful.
Great place to play ball. Nets to catch fouls over seating and real mounds!
They keep the parks clean and maintain a good schedule with all the games. There is play equipment right next to the fields so the siblings can play and parents can keep an eye on the games at the same time.
Officials are poorly trained and then one of the White hats wants to explain to me how Black parents are perceived.
Good complex were always here for the youth tournaments when my brothers play. Staff are attentive when something goes south like getting hit by a ball.
Great complex but very big and spread out. Concessions could be better.
Its great. I umpire there
They are very professional. The complex is very nice. Lots of baseball going on!
My kids love playing league and tournament games there. We have lots of great memories going to the complex to play games.
We are in the middle of a pandemic and at least one of the bathrooms didn't even have soap for an 8:00 A.M game. Both the men's and women's bathrooms were dirty, obviously hadn't been cleaned overnight. For as much money as these tournaments cost you would think they would have the staff to make sure these things are getting done.
Awesome place for the whole family to watch baseball. Concessions have a wide variety of food. Chicken strips are to die for!!
Love this place very nice people in concessions at west 2...I think there names where Diane and ziggy the guy with long hair. He makes the best food...
Probably my least favorite place in Kansas City for a youth baseball tournament. Multiple reasons from cleanliness of bathrooms to poor organization issues. Examples, no one really carries a rule book with them, rulings seem to be more made up than by the book. For example, if you were to ask three different people what the length of a game is, I bet you will get at least two different answers. Also, for the amount of money that people pay to play in the tournaments, to have an ump of 14 years old behind the plate is a bit discouraging. We had the extreme honor of being the very first game for an ump to call behind the plate. This kid was 14 years of age! 14! We weren't in pool play either, this was a bracket game!
Why don't they have signs at the entrance's showing where the fields are located?
Bathrooms are disgusting with trash cans overflowing with dirty diapers. No soap to wash your hands with. Concession lines are long with not enough people working. The worst umpiring I have ever witnessed....someone might want to teach these young umps to know the rules of baseball before umpiring older/high level of baseball games!!
Parking was odd, with no clear signage. Also quite expensive -I wish they did season passes. It can get expensive!
The McDonalds of baseball, not cheap food, but definitely cheap labor.
Multiple bad calls every game, not sure why the coach chooses to come back. The white hats or "McDonald's managers" are of no help, they side with the bad calls made by the untrained, inexperienced, and incapable kids they hire to be umpires.
Looking back to a tournament at Legacy park, there is no comparison. Tournament management at Legacy park hires knowledgable umpires not high school freshman. Thus the white hats aren't constantly running back and forth from field to field. I've rarely seen a white hat brought on to the field at 100's of other tournaments. Sadly I've yet to see a game without a white hat brought on field at 3 & 2.
A 1 star rating is being very generous!
Lots of fun at 3&2! Parking lots are clean and organized. Ball fields and play equipment are well maintained. Bathrooms are just Ok, even for ball fields. One of the perks of the place is the concession stand, which has all varieties of baseball snacks, but also serves dinner in a pinch! The Kona Ice truck is also frequently (always?) available, which is a great way to celebrate big wins! I only deducted one star because pets are not allowed. Would be nice to share a baseball evening with out doggos!
The complex is well maintained and staffed. Although parking can become an issue on busy days especially between games. Concessions are clean and staff is friendly.
Clean and the hamburgers and hot dogs at the concession are really good.
The fields them selves are well maintained. The need for more bathrooms spread out is a huge need. If not adding more bathrooms, set up port a potties! When coming to this complex be prepared to walk long distances. Parking is all up front and very limited.
This is an excellent facility with well cared-for fields. We enjoy tournaments at this park as well as league play. They have nice features like several playgrounds to keep brothers & sisters occupied, and well stocked concession stands. We also love the video replay technology and easy to use scoreboards.
Nice place but field care was not. Zero effort by field crews to produce a quality surface after a rain.
Nice place. Have to walk alot though. Clean bathrooms, family friendly
We're from Okla. And were very impressed with the complex. We are jealous but glad our grandkids have these fields.
Well kept up baseball complex. Fully enjoyed my experience watching my brother compete. Concessions were great too.
Pretty nice field. Nice to have working scoreboards.
Worst complex in Kansas City. They do not care about the kids, they are strictly in it for the money. I've never been to a tournament where there was no batter's box and no first base line.
Good fields for the youth and the old to play baseball or softball .
Charge too much for gate fees boys only pay one game , next day one game $6 each game per person
All the fields are really nice. There is 2 concession stands with anything you would want for a game and then some. You have to where a make inside the concession stand. I would make sure you bring your own chairs. Due to covid-19 the bleachers are taped off.
Great baseball complex with playgrounds and concessions.
Umpires were terrible! No home plate umps. Try to Umpire from 1st base . It was terrible!
Very nice facility. I prefer the East complex, but the west complex is very nice.
Only got to play two games rest of the tournament was rained out
Great place for kids..Needs more shaded area during the summer..
Wasn't great its a baseball field not well kept no shade and not well kept
The field signs need repair and the parking lot needs to be bigger .
Ok fields...but on a very hot sunny day, there is little to no shade available...we spent a miserable 2 full days there for a tournament.
Great fields and great umpires make for great games.
Excellent facilities for youth baseball and softball.
Love the set up, technology, concession and cleanliness. Inwish more sports complexes modeled after this one.
