The staff have been very attentive to my needs and are always happy to help with the most minor of a need. I feel blessed to have been placed in such a caring and supportive facility. I thank the entire staff at the Bluebonnet building for your dedication to excellence!

Came highly recommended but in our experience my wife declined quite a bit from her days in ICU. I would find it extremely difficult to recommend. After 10 days there I had to move her to another facility and she is doing much much better.

Texas Neuro Rehab was a lifesaver. The staff was always friendly and helpful and took very well care of my husband. Ed the occupational therapist was awesome and knew exactly how to connect with my husband. Dianna from speech therapy has the best personality always chipper and in the best mood and worked very hard on him. If you get Cody Rice as your case manager consider yourself lucky he goes above and beyond to make sure all of your needs/families needs are met and keeps you in the loop with everything. Highly recommend and I never rate anything but they definitely deserve it!!! Oh I forgot to mention Dr Moreledge he gave him the best care was very professional and on top of things he also caught something very serious that another facility did not catch! Thank you all very your care, support, and assistance through this!

This place sucks.Pure and simple.I miss my wife and was not able to speak to her cause she could not call me.I had to call out and with many people calling there folks it is easy to get lost in transit. The staff are not my family the patients are not my family. The place is like any other rehab place. The damn place has no bus system so I could go home.My review is more realistic the the yoga huggers.

So it seems to be a miscommunication in the reviews here. There is a rehab part and also a children's mental health center and also an adult drug rehab all under this name...I can only speak to the children's treatment part and I will say that it is the best rtc my son has been to they do great things with diagnostics and innovative therapies for autistic and outside of the box children.

Our daughter was a patient of TNC due to a TBI. When Jenna arrived she was unable to talk, she was fed through a peg tube, unable to sit up, and had extreme left-side weakness. The staff at TNC immediately showed love.

The techs, nurses, doctors, therapists, case managers and admins were all an active part of Jenna s recovery. Staff at TNC is caring, knowledgeable, and determined to help. An aggressive rehab approach was used on our daughter and we are so grateful!

Today, Jenna talks, eats regular foods, and is learning to takes steps. I highly recommend TNC if ever your loved one is recovering from a Traumatic Brain Injury. There are too many names to write out, everyone was great with our daughter and our family. Thank you TNC

The staff are a grade above all of the rest! When my husband was accepted and admitted he was still fully assisted on all movements, he had a trache, and couldn't eat or swallow. After just 30 short days he was minimally assisted on standing and walking, was able to eat pureed food and drink liquids. All of the therapist went above and beyond what was required for them to do! My family and I will be forever grateful for everything they did for my husband!

I chose Texas NeuroRehab for physical therapy after my knee replacement. It was not only convenient, it was well suited to my rehabilitation needs. The staff are very knowledgeable and professional. They have the knowledge, equipment, and patience to provide a very effective treatment plan that gets you steadily back to normal. In my case, Jessica had me back to full range of motion right away and provided challenging exercises at the facility as well as instructions for home exercise. The indoor pool is also used very effectively. I highly recommend TNC s Bluebonnet rehab center to anyone in need of therapy.

Beautiful facility where people can visit patients, take them outside, share meals and games. The doctors, nurses, CT, techs, therapists, janitors, and everyone I have met there, has done well communicating procedure and therapies. They work hard to give acute care 24/7 from my personal experience.

Texas Neuro Rehab is a leader in acute rehab. Patients come from all over the state of Texas and beyond to receive care from the teams. I have worked with the staff for close to 5 years and they have never disappointed me. Patients recover and they recover well from the years of expertise that is housed there.

I was there in 2014 following a major stroke/brain bleed in which Dr Meteo Zui performed surgery. After 8 weeks in ICU thanks to all involved including the EMT s, I was granted a new lease on life!

Hello I love the medical industry it has saved my life. But what I saw from this place and my son's care was subpar and worse!
Do you think that giving a patient the wrong meds or not even knowing what they are is OK?
What about having to navigate your care for a different facility? Make sure the fax went thru when the counselor leaves early? Get the last of your medicines your leaving with coordinated yourself? Who does this and I haven't even spoke of the worse. You would cringe! Some of these people can't speak for themselves. What happens to them?

I do not recommend this place to anyone who truly cares about their love ones. My son was there for two days before being lied to and put out due to an insurance issue. I understand that this is a business and they expect to be paid but their actions and the way they handled everything was very poor and unprofessional which allowed me to see that his health and well-being was never a concern to them at all. I can not speak on the actual staff that was taking care of my son but the caseworkers there do not care about you or your family. Please do not deal with these people!

Amazing personnel. The nurses are charming and like angels.

The perfect facility. Down to earth. Incredible leadership. First positive experience in health institution in South Texas. Ever.

Very wise. God or self motivated youth. Rounded doctor peers. Excellent professional community as well.

Differentiated. Genius.

Being a former patient of TNC, I hold it with the highest regard of professionalism, caring, and physical efficiency. Dr. Broysen and Dr. Chip, along with Ed (OT) and Vern Bradshaw (PT), were so instrumental in my recovery. Cody, my Case Manager, made sure I received the proper equipment for home care. I salute you guys! I can't express enough appreciation for the nursing staff, Whitney Picou, Jasmine Terrell, Maureen A., Elisha Nash, Andrea, Chrissy, Victory, Dusty, Maria Garcia, Peggy, Shelly, including rehab techs Tamara Pratz, Alexis, Ian, Ashley Robinson, Michele Easterly, James G., Dominique, Holden, Dave, also respiratory therapists, Sue and Dave. A special thanks to Ms. Cruz, who kept my room in excellent condition. You all are my heroes!

My son was treated so pourly by some of the staff. After 7 months I took him out. He came home and now he is doing amazing since being home after some therapy. It's sad that after 7 months in a program he has to come home and have more therapy!

Our family member spent six months at Texas NeuroRehab following a TBI. His medical team treated him and us with tremendous care. We are so grateful for Ed (OT), Nadia (PT), Kristine (Speech), and Cody (case manager) - God sends who fought for our family member and helped us all through a difficult process. Y'all are the best!!

My mother in law was admitted after spending time in the ICU in both El Paso and Austin. She was suffering from both breathing and mobility issues. She spent nearly three weeks there and the staff was absolutely phenomenal they were extremely patient and accommodating. Her experience was very motivating and positive which truly provided a great deal to her fast recovery. We are truly thankful.

We brought my mom here from El Paso, TX and we are so glad that we made that decision. The care and bedside manner was amazing from the moment we walked in. Every single staff member and doctor was dedicated and committed to making my mom's stay pleasurable and successful. The communication was phenomenal, and despite my mom's deteriorating mental state, they included her in every decision, and spoke to her directly (even with a language barrier) when they came into the room. I highly recommend this place.

One of THE best rehabilitation center in Texas (may be in US). My wife couldn't even lift her finger when she admitted to TNR. Now she can perform most of her tasks independently. All the therapists are very nice to their patient and Cody (the case manager) is the BEST. He even helped us in finding the better program for my wife after her discharge as she needed therapies back at home. In my opinion, patients are not just the patients to TNR. They very well know that a well being a family is depending on the recovery of their patients. They really work hard to bring the happiness back in the home by providing effective therapies and setting up effective programs. Thank you TNR for everything! Cody.... You are the Man!!!!

This place is completely filthy. If there is any other rehabilitation facility you can go to other than here, you should do so. The entire place smells like urine and feces all the time. The rooms rarely get cleaned. Soiled linens on the floor and bathroom floor all the time. There were several occasion where there were no sheets on the bed. There were hand held urinals on the desk in the room right where they set food trays. Why we needed 4 hand held urinals to begin with is unclear. They lost clothing and didn't seem to interested in finding them or compensating us for them. The entire hospital is run down and dirty. Staff moved from patient room to patient room without sanitizing their hands or wearing gloves. I can only imagine the bacteria and germs they pass along between patients. The staff not much better with the exception of a few. You may leave this place sicker than when you went in if your not careful. Health Department should take a good look at this place and shut it down until its fixed. Truly disgusting!!!

Avoid working here AND sending your loved ones at ...

Avoid working here AND sending your loved ones at all costs. They recently just hired a new director of nursing, Kim, who is absolutely awful at her job. She lacks empathy and compassion for others, and does not handle feedback well. She rarely smiles at staff members and other patients. She gets very argumentative when staff members try to give her constructive feedback. She does not have anyone s interests in mind except for her own. She is unsupportive of staff and extremely lacks true leadership qualities. She is a micro manager of other leading techs and nurses which is driving some of her best staff members to quit. You do NOT want to work under this lady, avoid at all costs!!!! Even therapy managers and other departments think she is the worst hire and the rehab facilities biggest mistake and investment. This is creating an extremely toxic work environment. Higher management is only concerned with making money, to the point where they are going to accept pediatric and spinal cord injury patients WITHOUT extensive training... families DONT SEND YOUR KIDS OR LOVED ONES WITH SPINAL CORD INJURIES /YOUNG CHILDREN HERE we are not specialized we don t have the training and expertise to give the best care to them....This year they were over budget and everyone knows that pedi and spinal cord patients bring in more revenue to a hospital and it is the only reason they are accepting them. Not to truly rehab them to their fullest potential and that is extremely sad and scary- no one should want to work for a company that only has money and their own interests in mind. It is truly and utterly disgusting. Very unsafe practices happening here with very little training. However, despite the huge negatives the experience itself is very humbling and there are some truly amazing staff that work here. Patients and families are amazing if you truly care about other people and wanting to improve the lives of others. As a staff member, you will learn a tremendous amount but expect burn out because they understaff all the time and you will have 8 total care patients on top of passing medications- families this leads to decreased care for your loved one. However, the therapy staff are some of the best therapists Austin has to offer. They are very knowledgeable and willing to teach others and give good constructive feedback because they truly care about their patients. Doctors are all quality and truly care about improving quality of life for patients as well. Cafeteria food is terrible and not healthy, but is 3 dollars so it s a cheap meal if you re desperate. Overall, beyond poor experience with management but great place to make connections with some amazing doctors, therapists, and other nurses.

The staff here are awesome. Doctor Chip is over Wound care. He has an awesome team. My case manager Stephanie goes above and beyond to make sure you have what you need upon discharge. The occupational therapy and physical therapy department is great! They have a great plan to help you get where you need. Kevin was my favourite OT!

My father is receiving outpatient PT & OT services as part of his stroke recovery. The staff has been amazing, the first day of the assessment they helped him walk 50 steps with a walker which was a huge accomplishment for my father. He hadn t walked in 3 months. The admissions & assessment process was easy. The Therapist have come up with a great plan to get my father strong again post stroke recovery. I highly recommend Texas Neuro!

I was transferred to Texas Neuro Rehab from Seton ...

I was transferred to Texas Neuro Rehab from Seton and I was there for the 35 days AETNA allowed. I have Multiple Sclerosis and was hospitalized due to a bad infection and hypercalcemia. I was in bad shape when I went in. Several improvements occurred, my left leg, which had been my better leg, started coming back; my right leg, which had been unresponsive for YEARS, started waking up, I have been able to extend it from the knee, and keep it lifted; my right hand, whose painful tingling/pins and needles sensation predated my MS diagnosis, was helped by Dr. Morledge via steroid injections in my hand, allowing me to use my right hand more than I have in years; my core strength, balance, and stamina improved dramatically. I cannot say enough about how GREAT the staff at Texas Neuro are. The occupational and physical therapists are amazing, the nurses are superb and the Patient Care Techs embody empathy. They are ALL caring, kind, understanding, compassionate, knowledgeable, intelligent, professional, generous, responsive, in short, words fail me. The vocabulary does not exist that will accurately convey the quality and effectiveness of care I was provided by Kevin (Occupational Therapist - who deserves a HUGE raise), Vern (Physical Therapist - also deserves a raise), in fact, they ALL deserve a raise, whatever they re being paid is not commensurate to the care they - Patient Care Techs: Tre, Perla, Sarah, Tasha, Priscilla, Jeanette, Hillary, Vanessa, and Morgan; Nurses: Anita, Veronica and Maureen are providing. Dr. Morledge also deserves a raise, he LISTENS to his patients, he explains procedures/treatments clearly and honestly. I will recommend Texas Neuro Rehab to anyone and everyone in need of inpatient physical rehab.

We have countless patients who received care at TNR (specifically the LTAC rehab unit), who later discharge to our program. Its great to hear the families consistently rave about the excellent care their therapists provided and how they often go above and beyond. I would feel completely confident to refer my own family to this program should we need it. Keep up the great work!

I was a patient at Texas Star. I'm in full recovery now and have started an Outreach Program for people with substance abuse at my church. The doctors and staff are there for a reason and they are qualified. The things they do are in place for a reason even if they seem redundant. As addicts we think we are adult enough and know what to do, but when it's said and done we're not really qualified to act and make decisions in a clear and concise manner. So, to those who want it...go and get it. They are waiting to help you!

Great care. They have a variety of services and caring staff. I could not be close to my family member when he was under their care, but I was comforted with the knowledge that he was getting the treatment and attention he needed. The caseworker made sure I was kept informed of his progress and she involved me in the treatment plans and communication with the doctors.

My mother was recently at Texas NeuroRehab following a stroke. I found her care and treatment at Texas NeuroRehab to be exceptional. The nurses were attentive, responsive, and courteous. Her treatment team, including her physical, occupational, and speech therapist were absolutely the best. Her therapists were always open to questions and, I believe, provided her with the skills she needed to return to independence after her stroke. Her doctors were outstanding. They were always professional, thoughtful, and considerate of my mother's needs. I would recommend Texas NeuroRehab to any family member or friend who needs specialized rehabilitation. You can rest assured that your loved one will receive excellent care at Texas NeuroRehab.

Besides there being poor communication between staff members regarding patient care, the staff members I have spoken with were not very knowledgeable on my mothers current condition. Her room was left with full trash cans and soiled linen on the floor. Apparently there is also a lack of concern for infection control and generalized sanitation. Thus far, all the staff I have spoken with have had an entitled disposition instead of the sort of empathy it takes to care for someone else's life.

The Bluebonnet Outpatient Clinic team are amazing. My daughter suffered a stroke as a teenager. We had her in physical and occupational therapy at other locations, but they always seemed to hit a wall with ideas on how to continue to improve my daughter's limitations. The NeuroRehab folks at Bluebonnet are next level smart with physical and occupational therapy. We want to thank Jessica and Katie for the amazing care and for helping our daughter on her road to recovery. Thank you...

I went to so many mental health centers for children growing up I first stepped through those doors scared wasn t sure if I was going to make it out alive given my experience with other places. I went there at age 13 and yes I was there for along time but when my mom passed away when I was 14 they knew how to help me get through it I got the physical therapy that I needed to function they helped overcome my fears and helped me understand what was wrong with me and why I was there over all I wish more kids could speak out and say this place was great but all together I got better and went home to a foster family in Alaska where I used to live back than thank you Texas nuro rehab center for the help u gave me. My name is Brittany buzzard not sure if anyone that took care of me is still working there but thank you.

This place is absolutely amazing. I can really tell that the leadership and team commitment starts at the top and flows through all of the staff. The way that everyone speaks to the patients by first name and takes their time is amazing. Absolutely love this place.

My husband was sent there 2 weeks after his accident and I will admit to a lot of apprehension on my part. From the moment we got there we were met by the staff and while they took care to settle him in they did not forget me. The staff is amazing and they really care about their patient's and the family and it shows. When I needed help with him they were there, when I had a question they answered it. They showed me how to help him while he was unable to tell me what he needed. The therapist did a great job with him every day. They helped both of us understand what, why, and how the therapy worked. They modified the therapy to his needs to help him most. This, in my opinion, is the best place to take your loved one. I hate the need but I loved this place and was sad the day of discharge because it felt like loosing wonderful friends.Kathy Grounds

I've been sober since leaving in February, 2018. ...

I've been sober since leaving in February, 2018. However, this place is truly testing my sobriety now. Their billing department cannot get it together. I initially paid up front what they had quoted me for out of pocket, after insurance. I also paid for my out of pocket portion of IOP at that time. Since then, I have gotten several bills in the mail stating that I owe amounts ranging from $0 to $1,600. When I called my insurance we did a group call with TNR and decided TOGETHER that I would owe ~$350 for all services and that, that would be it. We agreed that I would pay $50/month until my debt was settled. I made my first $50 payment that day and made another $50 payment the following month. Not even four weeks later, I received a letter stating that they were going to send me to collections for failure of payment! They sent a bill the following day stating that I owed $1,300. WTH?!? I called and the person I talked to said that they did not send either of these letters. Liars! She also said that I now owe $356. That's more than we initially agreed on!!! It feels like I'm getting no where with this place. It feels like they're trying to scam me. It feels like they're trying to drive me to use so that I will come back and give them more money.

Totally not worth it!

Sending our son to Texas Neuro Rehab was the best decision we ever made. We arrived at Texas Neuro Rehab from El Paso by private medical charter with our son who was critically ill and required extensive medical care and rehabilitation. The Doctors and staff were outstanding and were dedicated to our son s recovery. Our son made significant progress due to the dedication and commitment of Texas Neuro. They went above and beyond our expectations and our son is now back in El Paso participating in outpatient treatment. The results have been amazing and his Cardiologist feels his ongoing recovery is nothing short of a miracle. Thank you Asha and Cody for fighting the insurance for us and making our stay at Texas Neuro Possible. Texas Neuro is the best.

My daughter, Leticia Jimenez, has been there several times in the past three years and the experience at Texas NeuroRehab Center has always been great!!! Dr. Chip and Wound Care Nurse Julie are fantastic! My daughter has been blessed having these two individuals care of her as an in/out patient, along with the other staff members involved in her daily care when she was there as an in patient.
