Excellent interior inside and out! I found this incredible place by accident, but I am very grateful that I found this place on time when I badly needed a place to stay then. Their crew from the front door was very helpful, welcoming, and friendly. He was able to help me find the best room to take a rest and enjoyed my stay. Such an amazing service!
This place need update in rooms and the hole facilities. Restaurants serving the worst food I ever had here period. The bathroom near Nelson were so dirty and smelly no up keep. For the money they charge they need to step up. Don't waste time here save yourself the deception of spending your money here. There are better places with a view.
I almost want to give this place four stars, because sometimes things here are a little expensive for what you get. But honestly, staying here is so lovely, that if you have the budget to do so, then you should. It's the best feeling of a resort escape that you can get in Southern California. It's almost like going to a resort Hawaii minus the travel (and minus the beautiful waters in Hawaii). We've been fortunate enough to stay here a couple of times, and the feeling of relaxation that washes over you is pretty unparalleled. If you can do it, definitely stay here!
Beautiful property, nothing less than first class all around. Once you are here you don't have to leave, everything you need is here. The restaurants are awesome, multiple pools from a family pool to a 21and up pool. The rooms are beautiful, we had a Casita and loved it.
Get up early, grab a coffee from the coffee shop and walk down to Terranea Cove to see the day begin as guides launch kayaks for tours.
First time visitor for an engagement photo session. The grounds are so stunning, as well as the ocean views! Such a relaxing feel and easily walkable. Great access to Terranea Beach as well. Definitely would love to come back for a wedding!
Beautiful resort in picturesque location with gorgeous views. Hugo, GM, was especially noteworthy, with a keen eye for detail and hospitality. The spa is surely a highlight. Staff is friendly, cordial, and professional (especially at Nelsons). Evan from the pool bar added extra style and fun. Love the live music fireside at night. Stellar grounds and walking paths. Id highly recommend to other potential visitors!
I've been coming here since they opened for special events, to show friends the beauty of the California coast and just to get away from my daily life. It's my favorite CA resort for many, many reasons.
One of the finest and most beautiful resorts on the west coast, let alone Southern California. We have been here numerous times and always enjoyed ourselves. Multiple restaurants on site, 4 pools, golf, you really don't need to leave the resort unless you want to, and if you do, access to the highways is easy. Warning, with CoVid and reduced availability of wait staff, service is not quite what it usually is, but it's passable.
Five star promise and 1 star delivery. We stayed at the Terranea last week and they were at 100% capacity and 25% staffed with full priced rooms. Almost no food was available at any of the restaurants when we arrived and no walk-in seating available on site as overworked servers had walked out while we were there. Need a reservation? Good luck getting anyone to answer the phone. Check-in lines went all the way into the lobby bar and lasted hours. We were ordering pizzas almost every night and had multiple hungry people walk by asking where we got the food. It actually pains me to write this because I am a long time visitor of the Terranea. To see the resort in the current state is just sad. Even noticeable wear and tear on the hallway walls and inside the rooms. If you re short staffed and can not provide the premium experience, shame on you for filling the hotel to full capacity and charging full price for the rooms. Congrats on what will certainly be your most profitable summer ever at the expense of loyal guests spending premium prices for a lack-luster experience. Sorry Terranea, but my family will not be returning in the foreseeable future.
Beautiful resort. Staff are professional and friendly. First class facility... this place screams Come get pampered...beautiful landscaping with breathtaking views. Classy bar off main lobby. Super clean restrooms. Outside patio is a wonderful place to have a drink and chat.
