People and process were great the 8 days I was there. Only complaint is nutrition staff would mess up my Kosher meal request 80% of the time. Somebody apparently can't understand NO PORK.
I was recently at Tennova for covid 19. I went in on a Monday night. I was told by the Dr. I would likely be there for 10 days and that I might not ever leave. I was devastated. I have diabetes and I'm over weight. I made the dreaded family phone calls. I had a wonderful nurse who told me things to do and to not give up and stay connected to my family. All I can say is I followed that advice and one week later I'm at home. People please listen to you health care providers. Don't argue and fight with them. You are in the hospital for care let them give it. Over all my experience with Tennova a good one.
My wife and I have a child that was still born. We were told to come to the hospital at 4:00 a.m. to go through the process of delivery. We waited for nearly 3 hours before being helped. After that, it took 2 hours to get my wife properly hooked up to an IV. By 7:30 p.m. that evening, very little had been done to help us go through the process of delivering. Not all, but most of the staff was not will coordinated and did not communicate with each other well. When my wife asked for an epidural, I was forced to leave the entire labor and delivery area for at least 20 minutes. Despite her wishes to have me there with her present, I was told that hospital policy would not allow it. Absolutely ridiculous! There is no legitimate reason for that. To say that I was angry is an understatement. We have had three other children in separate hospitals and have never been asked to do that before. As long as I'm in Clarksville, I will never come back to this hospital to have my children. And I will tell everyone I know to find another place to go.
Labor and delivery was incredible! Every nurse, doctor, and staff member that tended to me and my newborn (and even my husband) was exceptional and made sure we were comfortable and that all our needs were met (even small things like bringing me a sprite when they noticed mine was close to empty). When it came to medical procedures for myself, and the baby, they made sure we were informed and fully understood before going forward with anything--which I loved. I had my first baby there 3 years ago, and both my 2018 and 2021 L&D experiences were exemplary and the best way to start the newborn journey.
Came here yesterday with a broken leg with the bone sticking out and it took nurses 2 hours to get me any pain meds to help relieve any pain. They also don t communicate with one another and ask me the same 7 questions right after each other and don t have enough experience or move with enough purpose they take their sweet time doing anything
1st Nurse, ABSOLUTELY wonderful. Can't say the same for the first 2 doctors that came by my bed. NO BEDSIDE MANOR! NO INFORMATION FROM THEM. DIdn't even know the 1st 2 were doctors. Admitted Monday evening and was given no food until Wednesday morning. Doctors never said why. Nurse finally said waiting for test to be done and then waiting for results. GOD bless the nurses!
You guy's went above and beyond you guy's took good care of me and your staff is beautiful people I would recommend you guy's anytime y'all beautiful people thank you so much and God bless you guy's and stay safe from this virus!!!!!
I will say that they kept me alive which I m very thankful for, but I just highly don t recommend coming here unless you don t have any other options at least not during the pandemic. It will take hours upon hours to get seen and once your in unless you get accepted into a room it s just gonna be very hard for them to tend to you in the amount of time youd need and you will feel neglected at some points cause there s just too many patients for the amount of staff there. Like I said I was one of the lucky ones that got to a room and was taken care of upstairs but please unless it s your last option try a hospital in Nashville first or the er on exit 11.
Brought my TWO YEAR OLD son here because he had a huge gash on his eyelid. I couldn t stop the bleeding and he needed stitches. We sat in the ER waiting room for almost 5 hours while his deep gash was STILL BLEEDING the ENTIRE time and did not get seen!! We ended up leaving because it was almost 3 am and I got the bleeding under control myself! We will be going somewhere else when we wake up to get it stitched up. Worst experience ever from a hospital! If you decide to come here needing life or death treatment, save yourself and just don t!
