I've only been to this health department a couple times and have had to wait over an hour each time. One was for a dentist appointment for my son. When I asked how much longer, the lady asked if I even had an appointment. I walked out. If I ever call, they never answer the phone or it's off the hook and busy. They dont seem to like to be bothered for anything.
They are doing an awesome job with COVID-19 vaccinations. Very nice and helpful with any questions you may have. It takes over an hour but you stay in your car the entire time.
We had an amazing experience with everyone at the health department in Loudoun County Tennessee. We were able to attain Immunization records for Tennessee by bringing it in our Kentucky immunization records so that my granddaughter would be allowed to register for preschool. We have tried multiple other doctors in the area in order to do this to get my granddaughter registered in on time for preschool. Everyone in the facility was very helpful! We were also able to obtain her our certificate in a very timely manner. They were all so nice to us that we considered using them for care for our grandchildren but finally got one pediatrician out of over 15 offices in the Knoxville Lenoir city Loudoun area to finally take them in with their Tenncare Insurance. They have been the only people in the healthcare systems thus far that has treated my grandchildren and my daughter with the care and respect that they deserve. Many other pediatricians in the area should look at the children instead of the insurance company.
Do not go here. Went to take my friend here to get tested and it's like they set out to humiliate you because you want to be safe and get tested. At the FRONT DESK they ask your entire sexual history, ask about STDs and any health issues and your income and everything personal about you. It's easier and less publicly humiliating to go to your doctor and avoid this place. They're horrible people here. The least they can do is have you see a nurse in the back and ask the questions in private.
My daughter was treated horribly. Was talked down to and criticized by the provider. Told her her symptoms and was told she was making them up
Will never ever step foot in that place again. Some people get off on bullying, they shouldnt be working in the healthcare field seeing patients!!!!
Don't ever try to call this place, they will never answer, I have called for 4 hours straight and have always gotten the same message "sorry, the phone number you called is busy" when you need a test done they will not answer the phone.

I have tried all morning to reach the health dept. Phone is always busy. They should have a dedicated phone line just to answer questions.
The service depends on who waits on you because there are some who would rather talk and stuff their face than to do the job their paid to do. Let alone do what you were told to do and they tell you if you say so just sit down and wait if they did call you they will call you again and then wait over five minutes to finally get up to tell the person that told you to tell them that you back
Not the place to go if you are in a hurry. It is best to call ahead and ask info about the services you are needing. They will tell you what days and hours those services are performed. I think its best to show right when they open. If too many show after lunch, you may be turned away. They have lives and families to get home to as well. So its not possible to show up an hour before closing time and expect to be seen. Friendly, helpful staff. Most services are free. So the staff is under appreciated and probably under paid. I commend them for their thoroughness, especially for a job well done while hearing all of those screaming kids every day.
