I once worked here back in 2013 during the night shift (Monday - Thursday 3pm till around 1am). I didn't mind it at all, tasks were simple, the work and product was interesting and I heard the company was expanding. I was told I was slated for a certain production area but it was so backed up they didn't have time to train me, so I was left with another temporary task assembling the inserts that go around aircraft windows.

To cut the story short, I was let go after about a month or so working there and the explanation was vague/non-existent. I really don't know why I was let go, though I have some suspicions the guy who was supposed to train me for his area didn't like me (I'd catch an occasional scowl returning to my work station from the restroom or filling up my water bottle). I'd been told he was roommates with the floor manager, so...there's that.

I doubt it was my work performance as I had the numbers my first shift counterpart was putting up in the same book I filled out every night and I never produced less than they did. I received no verbal or written warnings, nor did anyone talk to me about something being an issue on the floor, I was just called into the office and let go. I suppose they can do whatever they want with trial/temp employees, but it has bugged me on occasion going through work history. Like, give your prospective employees a chance to correct a deviant behavior or performance.
