I worked for Tech Systems Inc for almost two years. After spending 8 years in the Army and an additional 13 working as an engineer for the department of defense. I never imagined I would find an employer more unorganized and mismanaged. TSI is the quintessential lip service company. Regardless if they're talking to their clients or employees. Ample promises and commitments are made and ultimately the only thing they're consistent with is excuses. The whole company is built on nepotism. A plethora of manager's and executives wives and or children litter the employee payroll and they have no issues with self adulation. The service technicians are asked to create and close service tickets, maintain inventory, schedule appointments, order and pickup parts, maintain the company vehicle and oversee mismanaged projects and installs. The pay considering the responsibility is pathetically low but some two faced manager will assure you that it will be increased once you've completed all of the necessary certifications. This is simply a tactic to get you in the door. Once you've attended a half dozen schools the threat of 100% required repayment if you leave within the first year is a constant reminder of the absolutely terrible decision you've made. They do not train their employees, they have zero QA or QC oversight and the standards of their workmanship is questionable and at times shoddy and borderline dangerous.
The company benefits are overpriced but somehow highlighted as being a perk. If you have a family, don't walk...run. When you have a pompous NC good ole boy with a fake tan and the IQ of a push broom pontificating about commitment to the company. Look at your children and imagine yourself putting a Christmas day service call 4 hours away ahead of their happiness. Then go and work for MC Dean, L3, JCI or any number of other companies that will pay you and actually respect your nights, weekends, holidays and vacation days

Hands down, The best place to work in the security industry.
