The Teach for India Fellowship Program

The Teach for India Fellowship program is at the heart of Teach For India's mission. It is a highly selective program that recruits outstanding college graduates and young professionals from all academic majors and careers who have demonstrated leadership potential through their experiences.

During this two-year fellowship program, Fellows are placed as full-time teachers in under-resourced schools across seven cities - Mumbai, Pune, Delhi-NCR (including Faridabad & Gurugram), Hyderabad, Chennai Ahmedabad & Bangalore - where they teach English or Math or Science or Social Studies or Languages (depending on their expertise) while also working towards building leadership skills among students.

Fellows undergo rigorous training before being placed as teachers; this includes classroom management techniques, lesson planning strategies, pedagogy workshops etc., which help them develop into effective educators who can inspire change among their students.

Apart from teaching full-time during these two years at under-resourced schools across seven cities mentioned above , Fellows also participate actively outside classrooms by engaging with parents/guardians/community members/other stakeholders etc., organizing events like sports day/cultural day/science fair etc., conducting remedial classes/tutoring sessions/extra-curricular activities etc., which helps them understand ground realities better while making an impact on student learning outcomes beyond classrooms too!

After completing their fellowship tenure successfully , Fellows become part of TFI’s Alumni network which has over 3000+ members currently . This network provides opportunities such as mentorship programs , career guidance sessions , networking events etc .to help alumni continue making an impact on society even after completing their fellowship tenure .
