Te Kairanga Wines Review

The venue is basic and the service OK-ish. But we were left really disappointed. Four of us, who paid for the tasting, wanted to try the Syrah to finish with. I had specifically asked for this wine when I started the tasting. But when we reached our last glass, around 2pm, they told us someone had just finished the bottle. And they simply refused to open a new bottle of Syrah at 2pm. So pretty bummed.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. The wines are average for the region and they are overpriced for what they are. The tasting room was only staffed by a single person and she continually skipped our group so we decided to move on. We were then chased after and told a terrible excuse that it was illegal for us to leave without purchase, despite being terribly incorrect we were also not informed of this before hand. We wasted almost an hour here for only 3 tastings and werent allowed to leave. Avoid this tourist trap and go to one of the many other great wineries around here.

Excellent selection of red wines - worth the long bike ride!

Dont expect to be served sioup in a takeaway coffee cup at a winery for a sit down meal.Chocolate tart had been cut in half and then in half again.. Service nice. Wine very avearage and our paid for glass was very definitely on the slim side! Not overly impressed over all.

Lovely place for Sunny Day Vino, a bit further away from the town than most of the others.

Gorgeous spot at the far end of Martinborough, TK offers some of the best Chardonnay and Pinot Noirs.

The tasting room itself is a gorgeous converted bungalow with an airy and welcoming feel all year round. When the Sun is beaming down though, this spot is perfect for a slow moving taste through the TK range while chatting on the deck, or playing a garden game.

Go here for a fairly special tasting experience and enjoy the weather roll around you as you quaff delicious wine.

Great spot in Martinborough. Lovely surround, picnic tables, good wine. Especially like the 2015 rose and gin tasting too!

One of our favourite wineries in Martinborough. So relaxing lying under the tree and being able to take the tastings out onto the grass to enjoy and go back for each different one.

Make sure you stop here on your tour. The wine and gin are top notch, great setting with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Made all the better by the awesome puppy on site! Try the mulled gin for something different. The wine and Lighthouse gin we bought won't last long!

Great place to do wine tasting, plus go when Mao dumpling are there and enjoy great dumplings. TK farmers market is worth going to also.

Excellent wines at this winery. The best Pinot Noir I tasted so far and I still don't appreciate that grape so much.

A beautiful location for the Te Kairanga market each month through Summer.

Nice enough wine but can be bought cheaper in the supermarket. Nice location to catch some music at times.

TOAST is a local festival of wine and vines, frequented mainly by the youth of Wellington many tastings, our French wines have worries to be made, but the French settled in this region.

Lovely vineyard in a beautiful setting. Well worth a visit, and the cellar door team are great fun; and very knowledgeable. Very smart wines. Good gin too!
