Taylor's Boats Inc Review

I have been in the market all year and have been to many boat shops. After meeting Christian Brown at Taylor's Boats I am definitely going to buy from them! I met with their finance manager and I now understand how many financing avenues are available to me. Christian Brown is literally the perfect balance between helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend that anyone in the boat market go to Taylor's Boats!!!

Working with Cody Huff and Christian was an absolute pleasure. We took delivery of our new Axis T23 today and the experience could not have been better. Ilene and Jody in finance made the paperwork seamless, the walkthrough with Christian was essential and professional, and Cody and his team did everything we asked, and even brought our trade boat indoors side by side with our new Axis so we could easily transition our gear from old to new in subzero weather. If Google allowed a ten star rating, we'd give it. The entire team at Taylor's Boats Inc. were professional, courteous, helpful and most of all friendly. Cody gave us his personal cell phone number for any follow up questions. It was truly a pleasure to do business with them and we will for sure be back for all of our surf boat needs. We bought a Brand New Axis T23 and the deal was super easy going. We worked with Carson for the sale and the trade of our old boat. They were very fair on the trade price and upfront about what needed to be fixed and even walked me through the fixes needed on our 2005. We worked a deal on that I was more than happy with. Also Carson made sure everything went smooth and was completely right from the day we started looking to even a few weeks after our boat was home. He followed through on EVERYTHING he told us we would get/they would do. Definitely recommend. Also we worked with Christian on the walk through of our new boat, he made sure to answer all our questions and make sure we understood how everything worked. He was very knowledgeable said he was always a text away for help. I was skeptical on buying a brand new boat (when there are so many slightly used boats) but the Taylor's team made the whole experience great and worth it. I am very happy we decided to go the route we did.

Today I contacted Taylor boats about the 2001 Toyota epic they had for sale. I called at 1055 A.M. to ask for the hours and whether or not the ballast system in the boat was functional. Christian was the salesman to take the call and told me he would check and call me right back. At 1155 I still had not received a phone call so i called back. Christian was not available so i talked to Cole. He said he could not find the hour meter but would check the service records and let me know. I asked how long that would take he said half hour and would call me back. at 1:11 I still had not received a phone call so i called again to ask, Cole this time was not available so I asked for Christian. Christian then informed me that no service records were available but he would hazard a guess as to 300-400 hours. He stated that he felt the boat was in great condition so I told him I was trying to leave to Bear Lake but would hold off because I want the boat. I then made an offer to him and agreed to put a $2000 deposit down on it if we were able to work out a deal. Because I was leaving soon he said he would get right back to me. At 2:16 i AGAIN had not received a phone call so I called back to ask of he knew anything. He told me that at that time someone had just put a deposit on the boat and it was sale pending. I feel that Taylor boats sales staff did a very poor job working with me. If they had simply been straight forward form the beginning I would have had my deposit in by noon. The customer service the y exhibited reminds me why i try to avoid going to dealers for purchases. They only care about the individual right in front of them and even though i called four times they did not get the point that I was ready to buy this boat. continually promising to call me back and then selling it when they didn't bother to return my phone calls really disappointed me. I would be hard pressed to ever return to do business with Taylors boats.

Taylor s has been our go to for boat after boat. Their service is top notch. I highly recommend them for all things boating.

From Start to finish the experience was perfect. Lance went above expectations. We were also so impressed at his willingness to help us out on the lake as much as we need to feel comfortable.

We bought our second Malibu two years ago and love it. Tim and the service department have done a great job of taking care of our needs when service is required. I highly recommend them and Malibu Boats.

Taylor s Boats has the best team and best service around.

We have been taking our boat to Taylors for mqny years now. They have taken very good care of us and our boat and we have been very happy... Until today. We showed up prepared to have them winterize our boat but they blatantly refused us service. Apparently our brand of boat is no longer acceptable to them and they sent us on our way without any regard to our loyalty to them. Unless you buy their brand of boat, they will not do business with you.

We were looking to purchase a new boat and we were initially big Nautique freaks until tanner introduced us to the new Malibu 23 MXZ Wakesetter. He did a phenomenal job explaining the features and why it was a much better buy than any other boat on the market for big surfers like us. He was very friendly and honest about any questions we had. On top of that Christian took us out to deer creek reservoir to give us the run down on everything and he was the best. He was able to thoroughly explain all of its features with his wide variety of knowledge on the boat and even any features we wanted to add. He allowed us to test out the surfing wake and was even able to give us some tips on surfing in general. They were both the best and they made our experience the best possible. Thanks again guys!

The best customer service we have ever had in any industry. Whenever we have had a problem, Taylor's has gone out of their way to ensure that we enjoy our experiences as boat owners. Once, when the engine blew out at Bear Lake, they drove us a loaner and towed the broken one back to the shop to get UT fixed. The customer service isn't a one time thing either, its consistent. Don't go anywhere else. This is the place. Proud owner of a Malibu.

The best Boat buying experience we could have asked for! We worked with Tanner at Taylor Boats, he was incredibly professional, knew his stuff, incredibly patient and informative throughout the process. We ended up choosing a custom build for our 23' LSV Wakesetter 2021 - we thought it would be several months. We submitted final designs on August 5th. Tanner told us he would do everything he could to get it by September 20th (too optimistic? Probably). The boat arrived from Malibu on September 20th...that's crazy! Fully custom. Go see Tanner - it will be entirely worth your time and eventual money and eventual boat.

Taylor's Boats is probably a descent place to buy a new boat, but if you plan to purchase a used boat be very careful. I am simply trying to inform perspective buyers here rather than bash because it's more productive. When you buy something from Taylors Boats it's easy to feel more comfortable because they say they have had two separate mechanics inspect the boat thoroughly, NOT TRUE (unless maybe their doing it blindfolded just to be fair). My boat had many things wrong with it. It also didn't have some stuff mentioned in advertising (heater) which is my fault for trusting them. If you buy a used boat here, then inspect it and test it out just like you would from an individual because once you leave the lot they will tell you it was fine when it left and you will be very angry. Take the boat on the water check engine acceleration seems normal, steering, blower, bilge, heater, all ballast tanks fill and drain, shower, surf gate, wedge,boat lights, trailor lights, tires, bunks, stereo. speakers individually, subwoofer, depth gauge, speedometer, rudder, prop, board forks etc.
Inconclusion, if you buy a used boat here and thoroughly inspect it yourself and know what to look for you'll probably be fine. If you don't know much about boats and you are trusting them simply because they are a dealer then you may find yourself in the same boat as me.

Many ratings here are also spot on when it comes to returning phone calls. This has been going on for years if you look at the reviews, which tells me management does not see it as a problem. When you spend close to $100,000 on a boat it makes your blood boil.

I purchased a boat from Taylor's Boats about 1 month ago. Christian Brown was my salesperson and I felt that he just made stuff up the whole time. When I looked at the boat Christian made a big deal about all the items included in the boat. There was an anchor, poles to prop up the cover, jumper cables, and more. He also went on to mention that the boat had been fully inspected by a certified mechanic. I requested the inspection report 4 times prior to the sale, but he never produced the report. As it turns out I was like many others on this page that ended up making multiple repairs to the boat once I got it home. Furthermore as part of the sale Christian promised to include brand new trailer straps and a replacement bumper for the trailer. When we picked up the boat he said that they didn't have them and that he had ordered them. It has now been a month later and he refuses to respond to my text messages. I was hesitant to buy from a dealer and this experience has amplified my distrust of dealerships. They say whatever they need to to make the sale, but once the sale is complete you are on your own. I now know not to sign anything or make payment until everything is in writing or everything is produced prior to the sale. I would not recommend anyone buy a boat from them.

UPDATE: Taylor's boat has reached out to us and refund partial money spent on the repair costs we incurred. this is rare in today's business age and I credit them for going above and beyond to try and remedy the situation. we appreciate the effort and understand sometimes these things do happen. Updating my review to 3 stars for their efforts to remedy the situation.

Don't Service Your Boat Here!!!!!! We have had our boat for about 8 years now. Have always taken it to another shop for servicing, and have NEVER had any major issues with our boat. We brought our boat to these guys for a wrap to winterize it this past year. Once they took the wrap off, it left a residue around the boat that they told us would cast $275 to buff it out. Then they told us they got all the fluids put back in, and ran it for 30 minutes and it was good to go. We got it out to the lake, and the boat ran like crap, and ended up leaving us stranded on the lake. We took it back to them, and they proceeded to tell us it was because we hit something(which we never moved far enough to hit anything), and some part that cost $2,300. If they would have really ran it for 30 minutes they might have figured that out before we got stranded on the lake for half a day. Then I pay the price to get that part fixed, and they noticed some other part for $250 that they wanted to replace as well so I did that too. Just took my boat back out on the lake this week....SAME PROBLEMS! This is ridiculous now, and I spent another half day broken down on the lake, and $3,000 for nothing. I am taking my boat back to the old place to get it fixed property. DONT WAST YOUR MONEY HERE! (1 STAR)

The whole team at Taylor's has been great! When the tower speakers needed to be installed, they found a way to stay late into the night to finish them so we could go to the lake the next morning. Service is suburb! Staff friendly and excited to help! Great experience!

I have worked with Christian several times and I can say he is the best thing that Taylor s Boats has! If you want someone who has a passion for everything in his life, book a meeting with Christian! He will not over sell you on something that won t enrich your life! He is very knowledgeable and excited and he will bend over backwards! All of the positive reviews seem to be about sales, but service is what sets a company apart over the long term. The Boat has been great, but the first time we really need the service department, I can't seem to get anyone to care. 3-weeks of waiting, only to be told we need to wait another 4-6 weeks for parts. Poor communication, not returning calls, and ultimately an experience that has ruined me on Taylor's. Our new boat purchase this fall will go elsewhere.

Tanner was awesome on showroom floor and closing. No hassle no fuss!! My kind of sell. We had red carpet treatment on delivery and they followed us to the lake for a 3 hr demo without Christian at the helm. Couldn t be happier!

We previously had a boat that unfortunately met it s demise due to an underwater rock feature last summer. We have been looking for a replacement for the last nine months. Previously we purchased through a private party and intended to do so again. However, we decided to give Taylor s a shot. We first saw our boat three months ago and we can be very particular when it comes to making big purchases. Cody has stuck with us the entire way, answered questions nonstop, showed us the boat multiple times, and never once seemed put off that we wouldn t make an immediate decision or try to pressure us into a decision we would regret. When we finally decided to make the purchase, we were treated like royalty! They literally rolled out the red carpet for us! Ilene in financing made it very easy to get the necessary paperwork handled. Cody was amazing at ensuring the boat looked brand new rather than used, inside and out. Christian did an incredible job giving us a walk-through on how to use the boat to its maximum capacity. We will gladly recommend Taylor s to anybody who ever asks and the next time we are looking to upgrade or replace a boat we will definitely be back! Nice kids work here. Had a lot of trouble finding help with my needs. They do have quality boating supplies and gear.

Christian was awesome! He came over to our house and taught us how to hook up the trailer, drove to the lake (on his day off), and spent the day thoroughly going over all of the details and answering all of my questions. He than came back over to our house after to help clean the boat. It doesn't get any better than Christian. Amazing service !

Carson was and continues to be a huge help. We bought our first boat and did everything over the phone as we live far from Taylor s boats. Carson was always happy to talk my calls and answer my text messages, even when he wasn t at work. He answered my never ending questions and was quick to get answers when he wasn t sure. The entire experience was fantastic. Carson even continues to help answer questions as we work through the learning process of a new boat. When our bank was dragging their feet to get us the loan, Carson got Eileen from Taylor s finance department involved and everything was ready to go in less than 24 hrs.
Christian drove several hours to personally deliver the boat. He arrived late at night and then proceeded to spend a few more hours with us to give us a tour of the boat and how everything works. He has continued to answer questions about the boat and how to dial it in.
The entire experience was fantastic and I would absolutely recommend these guys to everyone looking for a boat.

Taylor s boats is a lifesaver! I have nothing but great things to say about them, I went down to powell and unfortunately my computer went out on my boat the first day I got there. So I called Taylor boats to try and trouble shoot. I called right as they were closing so Morgan in the service department continued to text and call me even after closing to help get everything figured out for me, they ended up sending the new part down with one of my friends that was driving to come to stay with us a day later. Then KC from their St George location drove all the way from st George just to install the new part and make sure everything else was running great. Such helpful and rad guys at Taylor s boats. I ve never seen such amazing service. Thanks again guys!

Taylor s Boats has been so awesome to work with from the beginning to end. Cody, our salesman is the best. He was always more than helpful, always answered my millions of questions and never put any pressure on me to purchase a boat. He even met us at the lake to demo one of the boats we were thinking of buying and waiting out a storm until it passed. Cody even offered to help steer me in the right direction if I decided to buy a used boat. I am grateful to him for being so patient with me.

When we finally did decide to purchase a new boat Ilene was great and so efficient with the financing. She was able to get us a great rate! Couldn t have been easier. Much easier than dealing with the online boat loan I was originally going to finance through. At the dealership they had a little red carpet leading up to our boat for when we stepped onto the boat for the first time to take the tour. As we left the parking lot the whole crew was there with signs to congratulate on our new purchase. It was so fun!

Lastly there was Christian. He was awesome! He was our boat Captian the day we picked up our new boat and took it to the lake. He was very patient, knowledgeable and walked us through everything from launching to loading back on the trailer until we were comfortable. He told us about little tips and tricks we never thought about that will make our baiting experience much more enjoyable from here on out. Christian is super fun to be with and made our experience with our new boat super fun. I would definitely buy from Taylor s boats again!

These guys were awesome! We purchased our boat from them in the fall of 2014. We talked with the salesman for a long time about what we liked while boating and they set us up in a very clean used boat with no pressure at all! Even took us out to run it around and see how it performed. No other place we looked offered to "test drive", and one we even asked and they refused.

When we made the decision to purchase, they set it up as promised and then the salesman took us out again to make sure we understood the workings of a wake board boat we had no idea how to use.

There is no doubt we'll be back in there come spring for "accessories".

I found a boat I was interested in and went to see it, the salesman stated it was in getting new interior fixes. I was showed another and told it was being taken in on trade and they would take my number and get back to me... They never got back to me on either boat!! I decided to buy me a boat from a dealer out of state that had wayyyyyy better prices and was a lot more attentive and happy to sale me a boat. Then I thought Id give them another opportunity and ask about their consignment program to sale my boat and they went through the 21 questions and then told me they don't know if they are interested in selling my boat but would get back to me by end of day... Of course to no surprise they never called me back. What a poor experience, I don't know what they didn't like about me but obviously they do not want any of my friends and families business!! WAY TO TAKE CARE OF THE NEXT GENERATION OF PEOPLE BUYING BOATS!!!

Bought an inexpensive used boat and they treated me like I had bought a brand new one. Very knowledgeable, respectful, and friendly. Beautiful facility and good honest people that own and operate the business. I highly recommend them.

We are so happy with our boat we purchased from Taylor Boats! Their excellent customer service is one of the main reasons we chose to purchase a boat through them! Carson was awesome to work with and was easy to get ahold of with any questions we had. Worst boat dealer ever. I bought two boats from these guys because they were the only place in Utah that sold the brand I wanted. I wanted to leave this review years ago but couldn't risk getting even worse service from them in retaliation but now that is not a concern. They were frequently dishonest with us and the only time they pretended to care just a little was before signing papers. Once that was done, we were pretty much dead to them. I strongly recommend you take your business anywhere else. Stay away from this place.

We scheduled an appointment 3 weeks in advance so our boat would be fixed for our family vacation. When we called Taylor boats to check if our boat was ready, they hadn't even looked at it and it had been in their shop for 7 days. They said they would have it done by that Friday for our trip. They would call us when it was done. They did not call us so we went to the shop and they were closed. We had to pick our boat up the next morning after they opened at 8, which delayed our vacation. The tire on our trailer was flat, so they went to get an air compressor which took about 15 minutes. The compressor didn't work, so it took another 15 minutes. We ere at Taylor for 45 minutes trying to get our boat. The repairs on our boat was to fix the drive line as it was stiff. They charge us $1,500 bucks. Once on the lake the drive line was no different. They would not work with us to get it back in and we found out we were way over charge for the repairs. Don't take your boat to Taylor not a good experience!

Would NOT recommend Taylor's Boats. Their service department sucks. I had to take my boat to them 3 TIMES for the same problem and it STILL isn't fixed! If anything, it's worse than it started out as.

Christian and Trent are great. Bought a boat sight unseen. Everything was as described and they made sure it got loaded on the semi safely. Still waiting on the swag bag though Christian, lol.

The perfect first-time boat owner buying experience! My wife and I came into the Taylor's Boats in Draper, Utah a few weeks ago looking for a 2019 Axis Research A22. We were met with a team of individuals to help guide us through each step of the process. Cody Huff (sales) and Christian Brown (concierge) were excellent! I live in Denver and found Taylor s Boats online. I can t say enough about Carson and his customer service. I traded in a boat and he gave me a value prior to the drive. Once I arrived I took a lake test with Christian. Christian is the man and not only did we have a great time but he took me through all the details of the Malibu touch screens. I would highly recommend Taylor s Boats as well as Carson and Christian.

Got the red carpet treatment from Christian and Taylor on a used boat.. I have never seen that in a dealership before. I didn't buy the most expensive boat there yet I got all kinds of swag. From cleaners to chapstick and more. I am very impressed by Christian and the team at Taylors Boats.

I just purchased my new Cobalt R3 WSS boat from Tanner Jardine at Taylor's Boats. This is going to be a great summer! Taylor's Boats treated me as a true customer and let me negotiate the purchasing journey to meet my needs. The sales process was a "no pressure" experience. They were quick to respond to my questions and requirements as I worked through financing and the purchasing decision. When I picked up my boat, I received the "red carpet" treatment! Literally! Tanner did an excellent job as a salesman and customer advocate throughout the process.

I purchased a used boat through a private party. I had Taylors check it out for me. They had serviced the boat before so they gave me all of the history that they had. I've worked with them on a couple of small issues and have been very happy with their service.

This boat is my first tow boat. Even though I did not buy it from them, they have been very willing to help me learn more about the boat. I've spent a lot of time talking to their staff who has helped me learn to maneuver this boat. I've driven stern drive me entire life. These are very different.

Very pleased with them at this point. They have been very helpful.

The whole process was painless from the beginning, Carson in sales was wonderful to work with, Logan Brasier in the service department was very knowledgeable and friendly. Also, we couldn't have asked for a more delightful, knowledgeable person to take us to the lake and instruct us on the boats technology/capabilities and do's and don'ts, and he was very patient with us. Christian Brown deserve a 10 star in our eyes. He was even available to answer questions after hours when we got the boat home.
