Tallink Silja Oy Review

Too outrageous customer service and customer service can not serve the customer in my opinion 1 star too is too much for them

We only made the crossing from Helsinki to Tallinn and vice versa on the Star ship. The ships are large, seem Mini cruises, there are booths on board carrying vehicles as well. It has a great food court, one of the sandwich shops is Burger King and the freeshop has great prices. The only however is the moment of landing that is somewhat tumultuous, there is no organization.

Very good line to go from Helsinki to Tallinn.
Boarding is done quietly,
online registration is easy (we would have liked the ticket to slip into the wallet of the phone ...)
On board, there are a ton of shops, restaurants ... but we preferred to rest. Comfortable seats.
The boat passes through the ice, it is surprising as a landscape and great to see.

Ferry was late 45 minutes, no information provided, left to wait queuing at the gate without air conditioning and with the complete crowd waiting. Very poor.

I went a lot of ferries, different companies. For me, Tallink has nice boats, but the highest prices in stores. Perfumes, alcohol, you may not have even paid to buy.

Awesome ships by the way. The service is humane, the prices are quite good. As far as ships are concerned, at least in Turku ships, the cabins are surprisingly well cleaned in a short time. On ships departing from Helsinki, high-quality cabins and friendly customer service, of course also on Galaxy and Baltic Princess. If you greet a staff representative in the cabin aisle, you sometimes don t get an answer. Food ok, a little dry. The Club one card should be used with every purchase. I like and recommend! :)

Silja Europa should not go anyway if it is anything more delicate. Navigating the ship in calm weather is like rallying the cobbled streets of Helsinki. Waking, jerking, vibration in all directions. And it was not on More

Their Estonian cruises take you there and back but can t say much for luxury. The newest boat SuoerStar is a bit better, but you ll usually end up at least one way on the older Star. It s all about cheap shopping for most travellers. Even the Business Lounge feels a bit stale as their dinners seem to be the same every time I take the boat.

Fast and furious! If travelling inbetween Tallinn and Helsinki, try to get to Megastar. It is an experience.

Don't go there too early for a ferry. Nothing to kill your time there...

Did a Helsinki-Tallinn round trip solo. Booked the ticket online, checked in online and everything else was super smooth. Boarded by validating the QR code on the phone, no printouts needed. The ferry itself is quite spectacular with multiple food & restaurant options, a packed duty free superstore spread over multiple floors and an uninterrupted wifi everywhere on the ferry. 2 hours on the ferry passed like a breeze. You can also experience the journey from the deck and get a clear view of the cities (Tallinn & Helsinki). Highly recommended.

Onboard the customer service would be nice to improve.

A bad company, we went out to shopping and went out of the shop for drinks, that is, no one had to buy and the buffet could not be booked online. The application of Tallink is pretty bad, so I'm not leaving the company anymore.

As we get older, the cabin level has risen on these cruises and many of the rumbles have probably gone unexperienced.
So it is probably a subjective delusion that these Tallink cruises would be so much calmer than the first cruises traveled by a Viking in a C-class shower cabin 40 years ago. But if you invest a little in the cabin class, even families with children can spend a peaceful cruise on these Tallink modern ships. West Harbor car park 100m from the terminal, payment by debit card approx. 1.20 / h, ie 25 euros for the cruise time. Payment for vending machines in the parking area. Well, what i can say; Our cabin was messy at this time, couch has stains, and table was messy, also anyone was not vacuum our floor, which was sadly. Fortunately toilet was clean! I think that cleaners has too much work on their time-period, and then quality suffer. We tried grill house at first night, and we took grill menu which include starter and dessert table (24 ) Starter buffet was quite good, salads was better than grande buffet, but as a whole i can give just 3,5 stars. Waiter should be understand better Finnish, but we get alone enough. Sadly, starter buffet does not include potatoes, so you have to pay extra price for that. Also water cost 2,5 even you have ordered wine! Also one thing was sad; dessert buffet does not include coffee or tea, so you have to pay extra for that also.

And then we also tried grande buffet at next day; it was quite ok, nothing special. Cold dishes was best, like shrimp and salmon, but unfortunately warm meat was disappointment, it was very mild, and there was not redwine- or hollandaise -sauce. 33 per buffet is maximum price for that, but next day you can took it for 25 price which is good thing. However i can came there someday next time, but company should try better, that cabins will be cleaner and food is quality next time.

I recommend taking a boat for money when you take the tickets to get a double score

Very good cruise.. travelled once with family till Latvia...nice experience... the room cabin was small but decent...Everything is taken care from check-in till check out.. food is costly though...liquor is cheap and party hall is there within... Have a great time guys... Cheers
