Their prices are the worst!

Their prices are the worst!
$3 for a tiny serving of potato salad from their self-serve section.
Additionally, when I asked about the regular cheeseburger I was told I could buy the jalapeno burger and remove the jalapeno.
Why would I want to pay an extra $1 for something I'm not going to eat?
I was told by an employee, who is a friend, that they have huge amounts of waste, and we, the customers, are forced to pay for it!

If you enjoy laughing at American society, then come mass produce their food.

Training is 100% inadequate. It s a simple wash you re hands and do what he does. When lids fall to the ground and become contaminated they just put them back with the stack of regular lids. Employees cough and speak over food supplies for two shifts without facemask. They use the same gloves when working with ham products and non-ham products. Employees are not allowed to rotate. They re to stand stationary for seven hours, you will receive cuts and blisters daily. If I were a health inspector I d give this place a D-

Worked at 6 companies with cafeterias. This is the last one I'd choose. Salad toppings are paid by item rather than oz like everyone else's standard. The box they issue fits very little. Soup is empty almost everyday with over an hour left until close. The automated checkout is not intuitive at all. Not alphabetized and doesn't seem categorized. And quality doesn't justify price. I do notice more people bringing their own food so that's a good thing.

Taher provides food for students and staff at the Blake School. There are a myriad of problems with this, and I'll list a few of them.

1: $32,000 a year should warrant a decent, filling meal, every day.
2: The way that they try to mass produce EVERYTHING is completely absurd. Rice is one of the most simple things in the world to make, but I have yet to have a good plate of rice here.

They should be ashamed of themselves. I am being very generous even giving them one star, if they had a lower option I would click it in an instant.

Other reviews didn't look great which seemed to be coming from college students. I cant attest for the colleges since my only impression is from their K12 services which are great! Friendly staff and an onsite chef making meals form scratch. Prices are dictated by the district and are pretty fair, so cant really complain there. All in all they do a good job.

They provide food for my company. The food is mostly fresh enough but it is the most bland food I have eaten in 6 states and 4, countries and most closely resembles food for those facing the end of their life. A single pepper packet increases the flavor of any of their dishes logarithmically. Even the jalapenos are bland somehow.

Pros:

Pros:
At my school The head Chef and the main cook Fred are awesome.

Cons:
Taher is the food service at my College. Everyone here is in agreement that the food is actually pretty decent but compared to the cost is a joke. a tray of 3 chicken tenders (no drink,no fries, etc) costs $4.25. Want fries and a drink with that? It's gonna come out to about $9.50. I've see a guy walk up with a "make your own parfait" that looked like it couldn't be more than a few spoon fulls. When he brought it to check out it was $4.25(charged by weight) and the kid snapped on the cashier, left it there and walked out. Everyday they also have a "special" that is equally overpriced. Today it was a Juicy Lucy with fries(no drink) that costed $7.25 I got curly fries as I had been told I could substitute them before, which cost 30 cents more than normal fries when bought separately, and the lady charged me the full cost of them on top of the special even when I tried to argue it.
I asked a teacher of mine why the school would stick with such an overpriced caterer for our food service when we're all just some broke college students and she said that they had a contract with them and that after their first year at the school they raised all of their prices significantly. Anyway I just wish I could get a decent meal at my school for under $10 especially when its almost all fried anyway.
