Very supportive training by Mr Joel. Ms. Erin, however, resulted to broad insults like shaming a student with you re just lazy and even attempted to get other dancers to jump in on bullying dancer, but luckily even teenagers in class understood how inappropriate this was and would no go along with the bullying. Ms. Erin affirms student has a good attitude, but can t get results from dancer she desires. When student asked for more constructive feedback than just being called lazy and for specific items to focus on, Ms. Erin felt challenged and further shamed and bullied her in class, still with no constructive help. Very inappropriate in this day and age and simply, ironically, lazy teaching. If you choose to enroll your child in this school and have Ms. Erin as instructor, consider discussing with your dancer how to recognize when he/she is being inappropriately bullied.

As a life long ballet dancer, I know a good ballet school when I see one. Tacoma City Ballet is the best! There is a real culture of excellence, integrity and respect for the art form of ballet. They take classical ballet very seriously here but it is also loads of fun. My daughter is very happy here and we are grateful.
