Taco Bueno Review

I pulled up to order and the young boy who addressed me said to hold on for a minute. It s 40 degrees, waiting to order, several minutes.... Next Time take the order and then say at the window we are working on a few orders right now instead of leaving someone waiting in the cold wondering what s going on. Needless to say, I did not order anything. I drove across town to another location.

Have been waiting for our for over 20 minutes and still waiting. Took almost 10 to even take our order. So 30 minutes total so far.....

So slow took 30min to get through drive through for 6 cars
!!!

Over the years, the service here has always been mediocre at best. Sometimes it's pretty fast, sometimes it's pretty slow. The inside is small and sometimes messy. The food is good though, specifically the cheesecake chimichangas, party burritos, and the MexiDips & Chips. Anything else is OK at best. I do appreciate that they offer 20% off for military discount, so that's nice.

We go to the us 277 location a few times a week, we love their food. Great food, great price, and great customer service.

My food wasn't right and the young lady at the window was very unsociable and rude. Smile it won't kill you.

Food was fine, but they had a methhead in front of their business hitting his meth pipe. Don't think I'll go back to that location.

I've never been to one of these before it was a last stop meal before flying and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was average but the food tastes fresh, you have a topping gs bar to use and it was a nice change compared to eating taco bell. The price was very cheap for everything I got and I would definitely go back.

This place was pretty good at one time but... On Tuesday 12/22 running late to a training meeting I stopped in to get a muchaco platter with soft taco no rice no guacamole. There was oil standing on the beans, running out of the soft taco, the muchaco was so oil soaked that was falling apart. I only a few minutes so I forced down what I could but my stomach rejected all the oil and I got sick shortly after the meeting and missed the rest of afternoon at work.

I'm absolutely done with this Taco Bueno. For the last couple of months I've noticed that in the evening time it takes a ridiculous amount of time to get your order even if there's only one or two cars in line. Last week I went there around 8 or 9 o'clock in the evening. There were no other cars in line. As soon as I got to the speaker someone said they'd be with me in a minute. So I got on a video chat with a friend until I saw that I'd been on the chat for over ten minutes. I said out loud, "Come on, there's not even anybody in line!" and as soon as I did a guy said, "Can I take your order?" At this point I'm pretty irritated, I place my order and pull to the window. There is not a single customer inside, I'm literally the only customer there. Three people go to the assembly line and make my food in less than a minute. I don't know what they were doing while I was waiting at the menu, all I know is that for a couple of months I have not received my food in the evening in less than 15 minutes. When I was a teenager Taco Bueno was one of my first jobs and I've always talked about what a good of a restaurant it is. But I haven't had a good experience there in months and this last trip guaranteed that I won't be back.

Speed of service was slow and staff wasn't very welcoming

These people are amazing. The food is always good. Restaurant is clean. They care about their community.

I just love this place. Even when the service is lacking, I just accept it because of the food.

The closest thing to Taco Villa here in Abilene. Great fast food Mexican

The drive thru is broken so you can't order till your at the window. The food was cold and old. Don't recommend

We actually just left this Taco Bueno and this was the worst experience we've ever had. First, the had a guy on the register that had only been there for 2 days and still had no clue what he was doing so the order wasn't taken right and he didn't give me back all of my change. I had to go back and ask for it. Then, when the food came out, almost all of it was cold and the chips were stale. It was not a pleasant experience at all. The store itself wasn't terrible but the food was not very good at all. I won't be going back.

Sometimes this place is awesome but sometimes they just throw your food together and the beans are burned and everything

Been coming here since I was stationed at Dyess AFB in the mid-80's. (Short drive from the main gate) Great fast Tex-Mex!

The guy at the window acted as if we were taking up his time also after he snatched our money out of my hand he went mad out with his gurl then brought the change back to me....my order was wrong too..

Slow service, they were not busy at all and still managed to forget an item

For starters. I sat in the drive thru for almost 10 min then had to say hello before ANY communication. Was not greeted by employee upon pulling up. Got the 5 for 5. 3 burritos extra chili sauce and 2 cheesecake chimis. Received order in good time.. Upon checking said order. Discovered there was NO chili sauce whatso ever so i go inside to inquire. Figured they had misread ticket. It happens.. Turns out they didnt even have any ready and would be another 10 mins before theychad some. So i got a refud. From the employee who rang me up in the drive. Who was aslo the "manager" he had a very bad attitide. Like it was an inconvience to do his job.. There was food all over the counters. One employee handed out an order on a DIRTY TRAY. They barely had any side items in their pans. The floor was filthy.. So i go back to my car. Unwrap one burrito. Take a bite.. Its ice cold. The beans were actually crunchie they had sat so long. The tortilla was like chewing rubber. The only good part wee the cheesecake chimis. I threw the rest without taking another nasty bite in the garbage and will NEVER go back.

Always a favorite! There's no better "belly bomber" on the planet than Taco Bueno's original bean burrito. Service is quick and friendly however the building itself is starting to look a bit rundown and can use some sprucing up and a little paint wouldn't hurt either.

We had to repeat our order to the cashier at least five times. He just could not get it together. The salsa bar was dirty

Ordered a taco salad. Shell tasted 3 days old, it was chewy. Gross! There was also water in the salad. I m assuming they didn t drain the water from the lettuce? When I called for them to replace my order, I was talking to two different people. The first told me he was a manager, sounded young and said they would replace it and told me to let them know I spoke with him. When I asked for his name someone completely different got on the phone and said their name was Thomas. Hmmm....

Not once but twice I went into place my order I got the Wholotta box and the Lg queso that's $2.99 and did not get the queso both times not happy and the last time I asked if it was in there and got a yes it was but get home a d it was NOT there.I was not happy that cost me $6.00 for some thing I should have got.

Always a long wait. Door is broken. Had to say my order 3 times so maybe their headsets don't work very good. They didn't have the food I wanted.

For a location that isn't very busy it took 20 minutes to get 2 burritos and a drink.

Went at 2pm, window was backup,inside there were people waiting get orders. I ordered 2 beef nacho salads, both with extra queso on the chips, not on the side, one with guacamole and sour cream. 2nd one just sour cream. It was to go, they put it on plater. I remind them it was to go. Manager told them they needed to figure a way to insert chips and all ingredients into go box. The couldn't make me a new order. Even if it was their mistake. Get home, every little chip,meat, no extra queso, cold. This is not the 1st time this has happen. Several time at Texas Ave and buffalo gap. Sometimes you pay for item, get home item is not there. I'm sure I'm not the only with bad experience.

I will give a 1 because it won't let me do less... I went to Taco Bueno on Sunday. I usually won't go to this one because food is usually dried out and store is usually dirty. But it was on the way to where I was going. Ate most of meal there but had a burrito left and took it with me. Later when I bit into burrito, I felt something in it. Took it out and it was a larger bandaid with blood on it. Disgusting. I went back to the store and manager (Sally) apologized and asked if I wanted my money back. Response: yes and you probably should throw out those beans. I got my dollar something back and they continued to make food with the beans. Sally wanted to take a pic for area manager Joe Wall she asked if I wanted him to contact me about this. My response was yes in addition I kept the burrito with the nasty bandage. Needless to say Joe has not contacted me. In addition I have sent a comment to Taco Bueno cooperate headquarters and have not heard from them. I have waited to post this thinking someone would call and let me know they have uped their sanitization techniques and beans were discarded. But.....no... Bottom line disqusting

Honestly, I've never placed an order here that I received correctly. Horrible excuse for a restaurant, even if it's fast food. I'd give it negative stars if I could.

Always a long wait, even when there are only two customers. They can't seem to ever get the order correct.

Brandi Smith please let me know which location u have applied at so I can get u in contact with there GM!!! I would just go to that location!! They'll sign ur paper & tell u when to start!!
