First impression - very clean and well taken care premises. There is a truck parking just before you hit the guard shack. If you are just on time drive to the guard. No need to park and walk there. He will call for a door and tell you which one to take. Once you park get to receiving. They will give you the lumper fee amount way before you are unloaded, so you can get ready with the check. People working there are nice, but expect the regular wait as most of the DCs as they need to verify product count. After you are done you can wait on the parking outside the security if you need to

I don t know about anyone else but it s very important to me to not endorse companies who do not represent themselves well in the community... sorry to say that I will never use Sysco merely because one of their huge trucks was in front of me for about 5 to 6 exits on sunrise highway on my way home from work and the driver did 60MPH in the left lane and refused to move over. He had multiple opportunities but instead held up about 10-15 cars. Very frustrating after a long day in the heat and driving an hour home from work to get stuck behind this ridiculous selfishness.

Reading a few negative reviews I decided to leave my comment here. When your dispatch telling you going to Long Island you think OMG again that pain in the ass. This place is different. Easy and fast off on the highway 495. Overnight parking. Start lining up at 5am. Guard will come to you take pagers and give you a door. Big territory no problem to back in. Lumpers but you can do it yourself (if you want). By 8am almost everybody done. Clean restroom (a few minutes walk from parking) . The only minus I found here if you have 1 skid and you want a fast service. It is a big distrib center not a local shop. So yes it will take a while. That's it. If all places on LI we're like that then it would make our job much easier.

I wish all places could be like this. Plenty of ample overnight truck parking. Lots of room to back up. Unloading can be a bit slow, and the lumpers are a bit pricey, but that's the grocery business for you.

Not hard to find you can't miss the train that goes past here as far as deliveries are concerned very quick in and out the lumpers need to be on their schedule if you got an appointment at 5 they need to wake up drink some coffee and be ready so it drives can get up and get in but other than that Sysco not a hard place to get into very polite security guard enjoy every moment of every time I come here to make my deliveries other than that good place for a driver but if you have to go somewhere else it's best to try to get off the island as fast as you can and go to the Vince Lombardi truck stop that way you're in the Middle where you need to go at Weatherby I 95 or 78 or 90 you're right in the middle you off this island instead of trying to buy the morning traffic trying to get off which would eat up all your drive time

The only good thing I can say about this place is there is overnight parking. I had a 6am appointment, and I arrived on time. I didn t get a door until 9am, it took them another 5.5hrs to unload me and count cases. I didn t even have a full load either! Capstone (the lumper company) are terribly rude people!

Complete bs facility. Only delivery being made and sat for four hours. I think they went thru every bag of onions looking for something to refuse. When I asked the woman in receiving what was taking so long all she could say was they are in your trailer, even after I informed her that no one was in my trailer for over an hour around the two hour mark. Large lot to do your maneuvers in but the people inside need to understand we are on a clock, not hourly.

5 a.m. appt, didn't get through the gate until 6:45, given a door with a trailer in it and had to wait another 30 mins for it to be moved. Going on over 2 hours for 3 pallets and still nothing. Sysco probably shouldn't be letting Capstone run their business.

Never have an issue with sysco. Everyone says they "are the the most expensive provare" but that's just a myth. Work with your salesman and know what you are doing and sysco is a great choice.

As a truck driver I enjoy working with the team on the dock floor. Very professional . Both recievers that work when I'm there are really good to me so overall Sysco is a very good place to go.

The staff here are friendly and helpful. The place is easy to find. Their process here is pretty simple, yet they only let a few outside carriers in at the same time. The yard is very large for backing into your designated door. They unload at an average pace, as it usually takes them 2-3 hours.. I was in @ 7am and out by 9:30.
