Swot Shop Review

They frequently gave us riddle like math questions, was not helpful.

Swot Shop is a good place to improve your ENGLISH skills, as I think the english classes are good. The vocabulary tests every week improve your spread of words. Some teachers are nice and more professional. However, Swot Shop only has one branch, which is really far away. Maybe they should expand their business into more branches, which will give more conveniency. Even though they have missed lesson material, they only allow 2 make-ups a term, which is unfair. Mastery tests are good, though they should be taken more frequently, instead of a competition in term 2. If you miss a mastery, they don't even let you make it up! The levels only go up to Secondary A, and the Secondary B class and up is filled with year 7s and 8s. The OC trials/ Selective trials are a rip-off, extremely expensive and they don't have good quality material in them. As a student having done a term of OC trial, I can tell that the material is not as good as english.

But, overall the place isn't that bad, and can improve skills. It's ok...

Best place to prepare kids for competitive exams.My son joined a year ago and I am so proud of progress he has done, he got entry to OC class,high distinction in maths and just missed high distinction in English by one mark in ICAS.

Helpful staff if you talk to right person. Great that they put child at suitable level. Others lump all abilities in same class - which frustrated my son as he wanted to learn

Very Arrogant place, very rude and unprofessional communication. The entry was very biased, If I have a genius child that able to solve those question why I need a tuition ?

I have been going to The Swot Shop for more than five years and I have definitely learnt a lot. A lot of people say that its too expensive, but most of the subjects are $50 per lesson which isn't much compared to other tutoring centers. Other people say that The Swot Shop only takes a selected few " smart " students, but the only reason that they are complaining is because they failed the entry test. I agree with all their methods and I think that you should send your child to The Swot Shop.

My grandaughter is happy to attend the swot shop regularly and is learning more and more.

I'm not a parent, I'm a past student. Swot Shop is amazing. It was challenging but fun.

We recently completed some electrical work for The Swot Shop, organised by Jean. We found her, and all of the staff, very professional and easy to deal with.

Very arrogant coaching center, treat parents very badly via email or over the phone. Always threaten to cancel students' classes if do not follow their directions. WAKE UP Swotshop, we are your customers and we are the one who pay for your living. You cannot survive without us while our kids are still doing fine without you. FYI, there are many good coaching centers in Sydney and I'm so glad that we have switched to PreUni.

It was a good place, clean and I learnt a few things, but I was pressured too hard to do good and was overworked, no one did anything when I was bullied.

These people conduct an entrance test to enrol for their cocaching. They charge $45 for their entrance test :)
They take only the high skilled students, meaning the students have the ability to pass selective tests on their own.
Swot Shop do not contribute much to students skills.

Apart from parking space, this is a place where your kids can improve their academic performance.

Have been sending my daughter here for a while now. This year alone she achieved a direct entry to OC, HD in ICAS for.both English and Maths, won a writing award and has achieved brilliant results in all academic pursuits. More than this though her writing is constantly improving as she explores different styles, galileo has helped her with 'outside the box' thinking and her problem solving skills are now on par with her arithmetic, which is 3+ years above curriculum level. She's made a heap of friends from different schools. Teachers have been (mostly) great. She loves going there and doesn't view it as a chore, rather as a means for bettering herself. Highly recommend it, especially the english program.

Interactive student's overall knowledge enhancement by caring and responsible staff. We the parents should be a bit more aware of traffic and parking responsibility.

Very arrogant place and staff I have ever seen in my life. Definitely not worth wasting time if child is already intelligent.

The Galileo was a total waste of time, as the lesson consisted of only games.

They take only the best students and obviously these students can crack the selective exam because of their talent and NOT because of Swot Shop Coaching.

Swot Shop is awesome. You guys at Swot shop are awesome.
