First of all the cake was beautiful and not what I ordered but it was very beautiful the black icing tasted horrible I wish someone would have told me about the way it tasted I ended up spending $60 for a birthday cake for my daughter 17th birthday she was very disappointed that it was not what she ordered I paid for my cake when I place the order in full payment so I suggest that you pay partial and then don't pay the rest until you actually see the cake

We ordered cupcakes for a baby shower and they were as dry as day old cornbread. We sent feedback to the management and never heard back from them. I would not recommend entrusting them with any special occasion.

This is a really great bakery. My friend Adam took me here and he was correct, it is excellent. I go as much as I can. Wonderful experience!

This is the second time I have purchased cake slices and cupcakes that were stale. My mother, who is now deceased, was a baker and those items were at least two days old. The buttercream icing was also a little off. I could not pinpoint what was different about the icing. I also purchased cookies that were not fresh. It was a very dissatisfied visit and quality is terrible. The only positive thing I can say about this visit compared to my previous visit is the lady who waited on me was very nice. My previous visit I was waited on by an extremely rude saleswoman. I am very happy for the people who have not experienced stale baked goods from this establishment. There is no way I would allow them to make a birthday or especially wedding cake for my friends or family. My Mom made wedding cakes and yes you have to bake the cakes in advance but her cakes were still moist and tasty.

Got my kiddo's birthday cake here today - the last was so sweet and the cake was beautiful and delicious!

Hands down the best. Five stars all the way! From sitting down telling the nice lady what we wanted to the day of our wedding reception everything was perfect. My grooms cake was something a bit unusual and they were more than happy to accommodate my request and I was more than happy when I saw my cake. I couldn't even eat it! Thank you for the wonderful work and pride you take in what you do!

Stopped in today to get a chocolate treat for a coworker's birthday. They told me the purchase total had to be more than $5 in order for me to use my card, so I bought a dozen chocolate chewy cookies to share with everyone else. These cookies, however, were anything but chewy. Hard as a rock, and, after a closer look once the box was opened, apparently several days old. My mistake to not inspect them more closely before purchasing; certainly won't make that mistake again.

Place is going down since previous owner left we shoped there for years prices went up and cake are not the same

Called Sweet & Sassy inquiring about making a adult novelty cake. I spoke with a employee the lady said that they do make adult novelty cakes, the lady gave me 3 prices for the cake,
The prices were for the size of cake order, I wanted was 34.95 not including art work, was told art work 25.00.
I week to the bakery to order the cake, the lady I spoke with wasn't there. I told the clerk, the type of cake. We went to a private room. I explained to her what I was told and prices.
The clerk told me that the cake was priced wrong. The price for 1 was 179.00 with art work and then another 1 was over 200.00.
I order a total different type of novelty cake .. this cake was 44.74.. I called Monday to complain about staff not knowing pricing, the woman said she was store manager. After our conversation and was told by her that the 2nd cake was priced wrong and refused to make the cake. I will never purchase any products from this bakery and will tell everyone how rudely I was treated SWEET & SASSY SUCKS

I purchased a cake for my sisters birthday. I noticed the prices have gone up significantly since my last visit. The sheet cake was $40. That would have been fine, except for the fact that the cake was dry and stale. My family has done business with Sweet n Sassy since I was a child. This is the first time I have ever gotten a bad cake. I even overheard some of the guests at my sister's party talking about how dry the cake tasted. It tasted like the cake portion might have been frozen, thawed and then frosted. I also usually buy cookies, brownies, etc. when I make a cake purchase. I did not do so this time as the prices have increased significantly. After years of patronizing Sweet n Sassy, I have made my last purchase.

The decor was nice but, no customer service. I was not even acknowledged. I will not do business with a company that lacks customer service. If you are busy the proper thing to do is "I am sorry for the delay but, we will be with you in a moment" not just dead air and a stares. I will spend my $100 + elsewhere.

They have made our cakes for 20 years and they are always amazing!!!

I would give 5 stars but the picture I sent to have printed on a cake was screenshot and had parts of extra symbols on there I assumed that when you expect someone to pay 80 plus dollars for a cake or t would be edited out and if they couldn't they could have told me to try to find another picture

I had my wedding cake made here. Today is our first anniversary! We got out the cake topper and it held up really well in our freezer. Tastes so good! I would recommend this place to anyone who is getting married locally.

The cupcake didnt seem fresh ane to me thr bskery isnt the same as before.i need to find another bakery.also close earlier thsn the time posted a couple of times that i went recently.

Not sure what s changed recently.....but it s awful now! Our last 2 cakes were NOT very good.....I thought the first one was a fluke...turned out it s now the norm! Service and quality are not what they once were....Currently looking for another bakery to work with

I come in there at least every two weeks I either Order 6white cupcakes which I stopped cause they only fresh that one day so I started buying 2white cakes which have been old cake was not fresh just purchased two more on Saturday and the cake was old been there for day I used to love sweet&sassy would go sometimes twice a week but I think I'll try something else love they icing it's real good but the last couple of months not satisfied

Horrible customer service. I witnessed an employee treat a customer very bad today then proceeded to speak negatively about the customer once she left. Spend your money elsewhere.

We paid $130 for a sloppy looking cake that was the wrong color and poorly done. The only reason we paid the second half and accepted the cake is because it's for our sons birthday tommorow. We won't be back.

Hands down absolutely THE BEST butter cream frosting in the world AND the BEST/MOST Moist cake recipe I've personally had and that's sayin alot! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

I love this bakery. I wish it were closer to where I live now, but I still make a trip out there every month or so. The gingerbread cookies are amazing. I absolutely adore their cakes, and will be getting one very soon. The store is very clean and always smells so good. The staff are always sweet and helpful.

Wanted to celebrate National Chocolate Eclair day with my godson and figured a local bakery would be the best choice. Got three eclairs, which looked delicious, but when we got them home and bit into them, they were extremely dry. An eclair, by definition, is a pastry filled with a cream and topped with chocolate icing. These eclairs had a small amount of filling at either end but the rest was hollow. We couldn t even eat them because they were so dry and stale-tasting. The chocolate icing on the top was the only good thing and we actually scraped that off to eat it and threw away the rest of the pastries. Save your money and go to Publix or Kroger instead of this place.

I love Sweet and Sassy. In 1991 they made our wedding cake ,it was beautiful and delicious. Our guests were asking for seconds and thirds they ate everything but the top piece!

Got dozens of cookies and the best cake they had by the slice

I placed a 600 order for Christmas cookies for my job. I placed it in November when they were open. Now they are closed. No website. No number. No Facebook. No contact with them. They didn t refund me or call to tell me they were closing. I went there and saw someone in the building when it was closed and banged on the door. The guy didn t come to the door. I m definitely taking this up with the law and suing.

My husband and I ordered 6 cookies. I asked the lady (Aaliyah?) if she could add frosting. She replied no. I asked her if someone in the back could and she responded oh my gosh. She started slamming the cookies in the box. I smiled and told her that if she was going to have that attitude then I no longer want the cookies she responded okay go on then! Other customers witnessed it. I called the store right after I left and told the manager who also lacked the customer service to even resolve the issue. Such a poor experience.

Well this is a horrible experience i walk in and i smell a bit of paraphernalia in the store with personal usage of those things should be kept out of a work environment. Then I hear commotion going on towards the employee about getting paid for work and instantly that just drove me away and then to top it off no customer service like hey welcome to sweet and Sassy or anything to make your guest feel welcome in your establishment. This was a disappointment and to hear issues with a person funds not getting paid for work makes you want to leave because if you can not work issue out with your employee. How can I trust you will work things out with me and my order to make sure that it is correct or to my liking. Very disappointed and disgusted with the environment I walked into. Cannot and will not come back.

I did a order an week ago set for my 4 year old birthday on Saturday... this Saturday. I sent them the image of the cake and it had frozen Elsa, olaf, and Anna. I was told the price was going to be $42 and some change(a week ago) The manager called name TIFFANY to tell me she is going to charge me an extra $32 because I have more then one image. That isn't what the agreement was it was suppose to be $42 she said sorry. well that's nice BUT customer service wise it's not my error it's yours. I've done customer service most my life and there are time when it is necessary when mistakes are made like this you SHOULD honor your mistake and make the customer happy. Now my 4 year Olds party is ruin cause of NO cake. NEVER will I order again!!!! Let me add I ask to speaker to the someone above her and she said I wouldn't get a call back....

When we first started going here years ago. It was like a local bakery. Everyone knew us and what we wanted. The last several times we have stopped, it has been an entirely new group of workers, some not very friendly. The prices have increased more than 30% on most items. We ordered a cake for our son's birthday last June and returned in July for the same cake for my birthday and the price had risen by $10. They had the best cakes in town after Becker's Bakery closed on 12th Avenue. So sad to see it go down hill so far.

Sweet and sassy employees are amazing. I found out the morning of my wedding that the store i ordered my wedding cake from "lost" my paper work. Therefore they had no cake for me. My mother and i went to sweet and sassy to find any cake we could. Two of the ladys working there saw how upset i was and after hearing what happened offered to make me a simple two tier cake in time for my wedding. They went out of their way to help me out and my cake was beautiful. I cant thank them enough. Nor will i ever order cake from anyone else.

My sister has to have their pettite foirs every year for her birthday. I've been getting them here for years and years

Hoping my favorite bakery has not been affected by this crazy pandemic. 2 days in a row now bakery has been closed when normally open. Tried calling twice and no answer. Drove by and it was closed as well as the store hours no longer on the door. What's up?

The Best Bakery in All of Nashville. I've been going here since I was a little girl. My favorite are the butter cookies- melts in your mouth but cakes are Awesome and prices are very reasonable.

Sweet and Sassy made our Wedding cake mini years ago. I Don't go in that often the last few years. But I have never had a problem. My mom got a cake each year she would not have any other. They are family not a corporation. If you have a complaint go to the owner I am sure they donot get most complaints until they read it here.

Will never go back spent over a hour taking a cake back that was messed up and didn t even get a apology they showed no sympathy for our time or anything will never buy a cake from this bakery again we buy at least 20 cakes a year from this place but today was the last time

Pretty cakes and great taste, but be warned: They do not carry insurance and will not provide it...so if your venue requires liability insurance for bringing in food you will have to purchase your own insurance policy. How it was explained to me: Insurance policies are often required in case a guest gets sick from the food (like from a contaminated egg, etc.)--without an insurance policy there is no coverage for your ill guest, and may cancel out insurance that your caterer may have since it would be difficult to determine the source. For a professional bakery to NOT carry insurance makes me question their standards and practices. Very unfortunate.

The prices have went up quite a bit in the last recent years, but the cakes are still just as good. If you're looking for a cheaper cake... not so much. But they're always beautiful, always yummy & they've been around awhile!

HORRIBLE customer experience. Manager would not even get on the phone to speak with me about an order I "wanted" to place ... AND 3 day advance to place an order. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere

I placed an order in ample time for my grandmothers 80th birthday. I did have to change it but it only added another color to the order. The order was simple a quarter sheet with 2 blue color Rose's the change was to add yellow, when I got the cake it looked cheap and it had extra decor not asked for with white trim. I told them that was not what I wanted and they could not take off what was added nor give a discount for not filling the order. I thank God that they had premade cakes that looked better than the "custom order". I will not return nor would I recommend.Sweet and Sassy Bakery

I ordered a chocolate/chocolate birthday cake specifically with pastel flowers/decoration. When I went to pick it up the cake was pretty basic with three dark flowers that were huge globs of icing with dark green petals that literally turned black by the time I got home with the cake. There are signs all over the store that says once you leave these doors NO RETURNS NO EXCEPTIONS, gee they're such a friendly place to do business with..... NOT!!! I probably won't be back!

I Tried to order a birthday cake today for Saturday . Was told in the pasted must give 24 hours noticed.. So called today October 5th (Thursday) giving a 48 hours notice and was told they could not make a cake for pickup on Saturday, because they were short handed. So them being short handed means I will have to do without a birthday cake..From up to this point my favorite Bakery...Sad and .. Very Disappointed !!!!!

I don't know why there are so many bad reviews. I've been going here for years and it's amazing. The customer experience isn't like a boutique bakery in Green Hills... this is Madison you know. However, I have always found the customer service to be more than adequate. Personally, I don't care what the service is like as long as the baked goods are excellent--which they are.

You absolutely must try the pecan pie. It is the best I've ever tasted. My family got hooked on it during the holidays a few years ago. Now my relatives from Brentwood and Franklin drive north to Madison for pies for the holidays.

I also really like the French Coconut pie. This is different from the more popular Coconut Cream pie they sell. It's kind of like a Chess Pie with shredded coconut in it. It's amazing!

I have been to several birthday parties who ordered birthday cakes from here as well and everyone always raves about them. I personally find their icing to be too sweet for my taste. I am definitely in the minority on this but it's just my opinion.

Around Christmas time it's best to call first to see what they have on hand. If they don't have a particular item, they can usually make it for you with an advanced order.
