Recently purchased a small painting from this auction house. I emailed about pick ups and Liz responded almost immediately. I had a delay in picking up over Thanksgiving holiday and due to covid but they were super accommodating. At pick up met briefly in person and super people. Good energy. I have followed their auctions and impressed with their inventory. After my last experience I very much look forward to doing more business with them. Oh, their location has large parking lot with loading dock for easy pick ups for small or large items.

Susanin's runs very professional auctions. Their descriptions are accurate, and their staff is knowledgeable, and dedicated to excellent service. They do, however, mostly cater to arts professionals and locals who can easily walk in. Unlike many auctioneers they sell from the very high end to very low brow. If you find something you like, you will probably get a very fair deal on it. Once you've bought it, and if you are not in town, you will also have to be prepared to organize your own shipping. In house shipping, to the best of my knowledge, is not available. For those looking to sell, I can highly recommend Susanin's. They take inventory starting in the low hundreds of dollars, sometimes even less, when most of the competition won't touch anything that will not sell for $1000 or more. As an art professional with 20+ years experience, I consider Susanin's the best all round auction house in Chicago.

Bid on two sofas that had been misauthenticated, which was not made known to me until after the auction had ended. Extremely unprofessional.

They are simply fantastic!!!As an Art and Antiques buyer/consultant, I always hit Susanins first. When recommending auction houses to my clients I feel assured by introducing them to Patrick to sell their treasures. They are knowledgeable and focused on getting the very best prices.

Thieves...bought stuff from on online auction for about $100. They refused to ship the items and referred me to UPS to ship the items at a cost of $235.00. They did me a favor and donated the items, so I never received them! CROOKS!

registration declined because they don't want to answer a question or they doesn't know item real or not?
I highly suggest to anyone to purchase their to do your research first....
