Is there physical work involved? Some, but as long as you do your job, they'll help you any way they can.

Only been here 2 weeks, but so far this place has far exceeded my expectations. They have ran me hard so far, and I love it. You will run recaps instead of resets, which is new to me, but I m starting to actually like it. Alex, my recruiter, has followed through on everything he told me, Craig our safety guy has been straight up with me, the dispatchers Chase and Jeremy have been fantastic and friendly( and have been very patient with me learning how to operate the step deck trailers), Denise the receptionist is an absolute sweetheart, Sheila the payroll lady has been patient with me and a sweetheart( I m having to relearn Transflo after 5 years not using it) and the woman in charge of booking your loads Kristi is on point! Everyone here is just so dang friendly and patient. Myself I am not used to it at a trucking company, having only worked for large carriers. It definitely feels like a family environment here and I was nervous about leaving GP Transco for a smaller carrier. Oh yeah, and the owner puts Direct TV in the trucks with NFL package! Are you kidding me! There has been a learning curve for me so far but they have been extremely patient with me. And you will get miles! If you aren t a hustler, then don t come here. If you WANT to work hard, you ll love it here. I ll do another review in 6 months. I couldn t be happier. Best choice I ever made coming here. Answer to my prayers.

I worked with Sunset Logistics for four months... First, you will always have loads, they keep you moving, no BS... Next I personally appreciated the staff, they stay out of your way for the most part. My pay was good with them considering my driving experience and they flew me up; did the Orientation and had me on my way in two days. My checks averaged between 1,200.00 and 1,300.00 weekly... They have some touch freight (mostly water heaters) and you have to fold blankets sometimes (up to 250 blankets). They pay you for the touch freight and the blanket folding. My personal experience was 4 star... Some of their hydraulic trailers were old and gave me issues and my truck (even though it ran well) was kind of worn inside and stood out like a sore thumb on the road with the colorful advertisements all over it. I left them to try out another company with higher pay, no touch freight and newer trucks. Oh yeah, one more thing. When you initially start working with Sunset Logistics you will have to consent to $100.00 being deducted from your check until a total amount of $1000.00 is deducted. This is what they call escrow. They take this money from you to insure that you don't leave them without a two week notice or with a truck that you damaged or abandoned...

To begin with this company was a good place
To work and it still is in alot of ways
I left for health reasons and while at home got a better opportunity close to home
As far as the 1000 dollar escrow dont expect
It to be returned they always seem to find an excuse to keep it
The other reason for my leaving was ive never seen shenanigans like some that went
On in that office i was loyal to the bone
But it made no difference if ya were not in on the Jeremy/Mason clique you didnt matter
When i made my displeasure known it was always me not them who was to blame
Last the cameras sealed it for me so i got out
A safety man who didnt seem to know how to
Treat people didnt help
By the way a good portion of the responses from the company on these reviews are flat out lies and falsehoods so take them with a grain of salt

I only come here for the cars and coffee on the weekends but it's nice that they put it on for everybody!

My wife and I are a team at Sunset we ve been here close to a year now. I ve been trucking for 17 years, I figure give any company a year to really give a good honest review about them. Sunset has kept us running from the time we started 6000-7400 miles a week, even with this whole Corona virus pandemic going on we re still able to run those miles. A couple things came up our daughters wedding which they were more then obliged to get us there which was in a different state then where we lived. So if your the type of driver that runs hard gets the loads delivered on time and in a safely manner Sunsets the place for you. There s a A+ dispatch Jermey & Mason plus Sandy you ll never have to worry about sitting waiting for a load, they always got us home the time we wanted off. All these bad reviews must come from drivers that didn t want to work are had problems crashing into stuff who knows.. like I said we ve been here for a year and there s only good with this company

Excellent company to drive for 10/10! If your looking for a company that knows how to treat there drivers and want lots of miles look no further and give Sunset logistics a call.

This company has been so awesome to work at since I started working here. Everyone is helpful and friendly !

Best company in America if u ask me. No one is perfect and these people are not either, but they treat their drivers with respect, know how to have fun, and do all they can to help...
I'm goin back!

The are on Facebook asking car groups to come here and post positive reviews to try and push other down. Seems like honest business, right?
