Was informed that food baskets would be distributed by them, but i expected something different. The box contained oranges, apples. But the cantaloupe seems like it had been frozen beforehand. It started to rot over night.

I feel a little bad leaving two stars on a church review, so I added one star just because. Here is the thing: I am not a fan of projector pastors. Once I saw that this church had a screen and the pastor was not even physically at this church, I thought about getting up and leaving. Of course I did not do that, because what if that was my test. I stayed, and tried to focus on the message. It did not impress me enough to have to deal with a remote pastor. I am looking forward to when this fad passes.
The Celebrate Recovery Program had it's own unique personality some time ago but not anymore, Sun Valley is now taking up collections from visitors during the CR sessions and selling food (bland tasting food at Gilbert Celebrate Recovery). They should instead serve out more of the Word of God instead of selling food which by the way is provided by volunteers at no cost to the Church and then the Church turns around and charges for it. They sell books too. It didn't use to be this way, the Lord Jesus would overturn the tables and throw out the merchants. Freely receive, freely give says the Lord.
This is the new modus operandi of the hour in mega Churches: all counseling in Churches is a 1 or 2 session stint with anyone in crisis and then bus them over to Celebrate Recovery and the Churches are done. All the Churches sending their wounded people to CR saves them from continuing to provide professional counseling on a sliding scale. This reminds me of the LA hospitals sending their no-insurance/sick people out in buses out to another town or state. No doubt this has something to do with lots of people not coming back to Celebrate Recovery as the rate of visitors doesn't make sense with the rate of retention as nothing substitutes professional intervention during emotional crisis. Having Celebrate Recovery take care of the people in crisis costs the church nothing versus with hiring a professional counselor which is good for the church finances but is it a fair to the wounded?
Something is not right specially with the leader Mark using the A** word with impunity during the CR sessions and now he added a twist to it. He said that when he first came to CR he had "His a** wrapped around the axle of his truck" and he asked us to "visualize it". (disgusting) The program's rigidity during the open share sessions is one of No cross talk, no opinions, no advise from the rest of the group is a turn off. Step Programs have the same strict rules, "no talk, no opinions, no advice".
Sun Valley Church is our home church. We have been attending since 2011. I would never consider going anywhere else! We love the place! The pastors are amazing, it's a very warm and welcoming place for everyone. It's a big church, and it's easy to feel lost sometimes if you don't join a small group. We have both had our own small group and are currently in someone else's small group and this makes a huge difference. They offer many excellent opportunities such as re-engage for marriages, Financial Peace University, as well as Celebrate Recovery, for those who want to work on their Hurts Habits and Hang-Ups! Services are relatively informal and very comfortable and welcoming. They don't care what you wear they're just glad you're there! I highly, highly recommend you check out Sun Valley if you are searching for a place to call your home Church. Everyone is welcome at Sun Valley.
Apparently Saturday service is staff meeting service. Spent about 5 minutes on His Word & the rest of the time pulled up charts & graphs & stats about his baptism goal & his goals to expand the other locations. Not sure if this is normal but i do not drive 40miles to hear staff business. I come to hear a message & learn how to apply His Word to my life. The church s goals can be promoted through social media or events... not in service where people drive 40miles hoping to hear something life changing. The Pastor seems nice but a little scattered everywhere. Also too much bragging about how financially well off SVCC is... Usher was nice though
I attended this church for 8 years and i got babtized here (i no longer attend)..i rated a one in my opinion the church is all about money and small groups are horrible reason for that is my sister was in one and she was going through some things and the small group leader told the other people to not reach out to her and to leave her alone...that should never happen... she needed those people. Also mops group was a horrible experience for me...it is very clickish and the women who have been in it they only hang out with the other ladies that have been in it for awhile. I felt like it was high school all over again......I will never recommend this church.
Sri Paster understands how to decipher scriptures into lessons and goals applicable to today's society and church charters to bring good into our world
My family and I love this church! We were looking for a church for a while and a friend invited to Sun Valley a few months ago and I think we have only missed two Sunday s since then. We are so happy to have found such a great community that truly cares about EVERYONE no matter who you are or where you been. YOU belong here, come join us!
Chad Moore is an incredible and interesting pastor. Always thought-provoking and eye-opening. Got baptized here on a whim. Fell in love with God and this church played a key part. Very, very much recommended.
Weve been going to this church for four months and after this last series he lost us. He says the same thing over and over. The Christmas special was boring and he showed pictures of his son and it was weird. Goodbye.
We love Sun Valley. We have been looking for a home church for over 10 years. I was talking to a friend and he suggested we give his church a try. We did and instantly feel in love. They atmosphere is true. The ideology of the church is one that we have been looking for. The people are so wonderful. We are so blessed to have found Sun Valley. I thank the Lord for leading us home.
This church is amazing! Never before have I been made to feel so welcome and loved. I grew up goinf to church but fell out due to hypocritical drama, so I stopped going for years. Our friends invited us, and from day one it has been a blessing. I have grown so much closer to Jesus now and feel a sense of peace amd love that I never really had before. If you are looking for a new church or are just curious, I cannot recommend Sun Valley enough! The staff and the pastors are kind and personable and help show the true message of the gospel. Come check it out one time and you will be changed like me and my family were!
A friend of mine invited me to SVCC about 8 years ago and two of my grandchildren have been baptized there since. My daughter and I serve in the children's ministry. This is a loving church that teaches only God's truths from the Bible. Nothing more and nothing less. All the pastors are amazing, but Chad is very engaging and funny. We all love them. You really need to come experience it and learn more about Jesus. My life has changed for the good since I have been a member here. Everyone is friendly and welcoming here.
Wonderful church that focuses on helping people to know, meet, and follow Jesus. The staff and volunteers are extremely wonderful and caring. Happy to call Sun Valley or church home.
I currently live in Arkansas and I attend every time I am in the Valley. Chad Moore delivers a message I can easily understand God's mission that I am task with. I have been blessed to find this place. My son took me the first time. I encourage as many as I can to visit the website that are remote.
Awesome church giving to many organizations very transparent with all they do preaching the word with a bunch of stories great children center very happy.
If you are looking for a church with good worship music, great teaching and cares about impacting the community and world, the SVCC is a great church to consider. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you want to be guaranteed to see the pastor teach live, then attend Saturday night at 4:00. Other than that time, you might see your sermon on playback.
Iv been going to Sun Valley for 20+ years and love it! My kids were part of the children s ministry and went on to lead and serve with their peers. I credit God and this wonderful church as a big part of the successful adults they have become! If you want to invest in your family bring them to SVCC to meet, know and follow Jesus! It will change your life.
I'm an otr driver living in Minnesota, I truly am blessed each week. Not only do I get to experience Gods goodness all across this great country but I thank the lord for blessing me with good sound bible teaching from sun valley church. Thank you and God bless.
I love SVCC. Focused on serving others, no matter what happens! Very Biblical teaching, the pastor is open and humble. You don't have to fake it til you make it, you can be real!
My wife and I have been attending Sun Valley now for over 3 years! It's by far one of the best churches we've attended in our lives. The atmosphere is truly that of love, and we learn something new every single Sunday!
Fantastic, warm and inviting. They actually have you open your Bible but also provide great guidance for those just starting out in their journey. They are on fire for our God and ourLord Jesus!
Amazing !!! We have been attending the last 3 weeks on forgiveness. Chad has a great ability to deliver the word . we plan on continuing , its already made a huge difference in the way I see things in my life . I am grateful
