I grew up in Williamston so the sun theater was part of my Heritage I can tell you that their phone number is the same as it was when I was a young boy and I'm 66 now so this has been a nice establishment has always had good quality films movies and the owner is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet

Always great movies, cheaper admission than large theaters, comfortable clean environment.. No free refill but they have to make a living and pay bills. Go support your local small business! GO TO THE SUN!

Love the homey feel. Love the prices. I can take my boys to the movies in Lansing but they are always so pushy and high priced. I prefer this theater and we live in Mason. Worth the drive

This place eventually gets all the new movies that are most popular for a cheap price. The smells of the theater make for a memorable experience, especially in the lobby while you wait for the previous show to end, which is actually the best part of the experience, adding anticipation impossible to find any other way. Watching the audience prior to yours exit the theater while listening to the credits roll is a unique movie-going experience. As a kid, I used to peak inside through the doors to see the climax of films and be able to hear audience reactions. "The don't make them like they used to" is a common expression in my life thanks to this theater.
If you're ever in Austin, TX, the Alamo Drafthouse is exactly what I wanted this theater to be. You'll get the smells and the audiences like no other place in the world.

Great little theater. Very affordable prices on tickets and snacks. Highly recommended. Just know that they only play one movie at a time (check their website to see which one) and they don't accept credit cards.

Great little theatre, with cheap prices. Movies arrive a bit later than other theatres though I understand from the price. Getting snacks won't empty your wallet. However the ceiling is a bit patchy, and deteriorated.

This is a fairly nice, small town movie theater with reasonable prices for tickets and connessions, although it does only have one screening room and you have to pay full price for a refill on the connessions here, but otherwise, a nice theater too see a movie at!

It's a very small, homey place, but I really like going there. It only shows one movie at a time. The concessions are great, the seats are comfortable, and the bathrooms are quite nice, actually.

I really enjoy this theatre. It's so nice to be able to not only support our local businesses, but also to save a GREAT deal of money while doing it. It's always clean, the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and the prices of admission, snacks, and refreshments are extremely reasonably priced. We will continue to be customers and to share what a great place this is to everyone we know.

I really enjoy coming to the sun theater. Very friendly staff great pricing all around.

The only negative thing I could think of is they don't accept credit cards or debit cards cash only. Advice to the management would be look into something like the Square Reader. This would allow you to accept debit and credit cards at a very cheap price compared to putting in a typical card reader

I really like the popcorn there. For my school we go there for the end of the trimester rewards and we go there we get free popcorn free sprite but obviously it's not going to be the same you guys have to buy it if you don't go at the school but we always get to watch a movie.

The Sun Theatre of WIlliamston is family owned, old fashioned, and priced such that you can take your whole family to the movies. A community initiated kickstarter campaign last year financed their new DLP projection system for full-digital, first-run movies. They keep their prices low and popcorn reasonable, and the neighborhood-feel of the audience makes going to the movies a social event, which is half the reason to attend! It's a must-see.

Very affordable ticket and concession pricing make this a great family choice . Parking behind the theater and in front on the street can be limited but is free. Inside decor is small town but who cares when the lights are off and the movie is on?

A jewel on the main strip of downtown williamston. You'll know you there by the vintage marquee, lit up like a Christmas tree, overhanging the downtown sidewalk. The Sun theater has done their best over the years to provide a unique experience for movie goers. The theater itself feels like something straight out of the fifties, however they have invested in modern comfortable seats, HD projector, and top of the line sound system. Ticket prices are still affordable and concessions are a fraction of what you might pay at the big theatres. Every time i walk into the Sun it reminds me of being a kid again. If you have never experienced the sun, pick a movie and go check it out. It is worth a visit I promise.

The main attraction of this movie theater is its cheap prices. Great for taking the family to the movies. There is only one theater, so they show only one movie at a time. The quality of audio and video are good, as are the seats.

Love this caved in time capsule. Locally owned and operated. New digital projector to keep it alive. $5 seats. Very cheap concessions, with wide selection. An old time, throwback night out with the kids, that doesn't break the bank. A nice change of pace in the megatheater and streaming era. I love movies, and this is what they used to be like. Also, crying baby seats for Mom and Dad date night.
