Summit Home Health & Hospice Review

Absolutely the worst company!! If you care at all for your loved ones do not have these people come care for them. The company as a whole is disgusting. The nurses director for hospice is a joke! Not too mention she could care less about the bad reviews or to even fix a single problem. The majority of the CNAs are working for a side company because the cant stand the company nor make enough money. So you know the kind of care you are getting with that. Save yourself the hassle and find a better company !

This is a great home health agency! These people believe in quality healthcare! The staff is qualified, on time and professional! You should give them a call you will be glad you did.

After working for healthcare facilities and witnessing first hand what is going on or is needed not many companies/agencies step up to fill the void. But Summit is truly on the top, pun intended. From physical therapy, spiritual to social services, they have it covered. Many long time employees that are knowledgeable and able to provide more than sufficient care. I've had many positive experiences and a handful of negative issues. Every person's situation is different and because of this not every situation can be addressed to a person's liking but these folks really try. I would highly recommend Summit for any rehabilitation program. And highly recommend for end of life care

In hospital healthcare administration The attention and responsiveness both my parents received from Summit was tremendous from their physician, Dr. Nelson, to their Nurses to their Chaplin to social worker. Their coordination and communication of care with both other healthcare providers and with me about my parents was tremendous. I highly recommend Summit.

The nurse from Summit Home Health told my husband and I that she would be coming to our home on the Monday after I was released from the hospital, following a total knee replacement. When she didn't show up and I had clear signs of infection, I called Summit. She came to check my knee, but acted put out the entire time that she was here. She said, my elevated fever, redness, warmth and the unbearable burning was all "nothing but normal brusing". My husband got me into the doctor and I had a very serious infection. Weeks past and I never once heard from the nurse again. Not even a phone call to check on me. My doctor's office is disgusted that Summit didn't provide me with supplies to change the dressing on my knee while my incision was draining. I have dealt with numerous home health care agencies over the years with both my elderly parents and in-laws, as well as several past surgeries that I have had. I have never had as poor of care as what I received from Summit. They are a disgrace!

There are not enough words to describe the incredible care that Summit provided to my grandmother. Her physical therapist Mike was absolutely incredible and worked so well with her, her rehab Nurse Jill was always very attentive, and the amazing hospice nurse Makenna is the sweetest person i have ever meet and when my grandmother passed they were so kind and sent us a sympathy card wich my family appreciated.

After seeing how responsive they are when their patient is crying because they are in so much pain, I d rather be taken out back and shot than be left to their care.

Would give them 0 stars if I could.

I have to be limited in my review as our case will probably turn to a legal matter but if you want to be abandoned by home health, without clear notification or signing any discharge paperwork - go with Summit!
