Me and my sister decided to get our families together for a photo session to get some pictures for our mum for a mothers day present.
Marko is nice enough, however the pictures produced could only be described as dreadful. We were perched on this wobbly black leather couch/thing I really don't know how to describe it. I can tell you it was almost impossible to sit on comfortably and remain sitting & smiling in any normal way. The poses he put us in where unnatural, stayed and awkward.
When we came to review our selection he told us 'normally I only have 60 shots to show people, you guys have got more than 90'. Perhaps it was because he included shots were people were blinking, not looking at he camera, not smiling, hair obscuring faces, and kids pulling silly faces. The photo of my sister and her man looked like a photo of two managers for a business portfolio. Nothing to do with their chemistry I can assure you. We more than halved the selection in about 3 minutes
We have done this before. As our children have grown up we have a photoshoot to capture that moment. In those we have agonised over 100's of pictures trying to decide on THE ONE to have printed and blown up, and stretching credit limits because there are pictures (of the kids usually) that we MUST have. This one we struggled to find one of the group pictures that we were entirely happy with. In the end we picked one that was okay because we needed something for mum.
