Very good breakfast and sandwiches. Coffee is decent. Wonderful location, better parking than most cafes in Del Mar.

Great little place for breakfast/brunch. Our food was fantastic!
Happy staff with solid breakfast offerings. My breakfast was really good... and yes, get it with the guacamole.
This place still holds a level of charm that many restaurants strive to achieve . Farm fresh ingredients, sprinkled with family friendly smiles creates memorable moments for you and your loved ones.
Hidden behind some Bamboo, this is a fantastic place to eat in Del Mar for a quick, relaxing bite to eat. The owners were great to chat with and it does get crowded..
I was visiting my relatives for a week and we went here for lunch before walking down to the beach and enjoying a beautiful, sunny, temperate Southern California weekday afternoon. Two of our party had smoothies and said they were delicious. I had the "Vermonster." Smoked turkey, cheddar cheese, some sort of cranberry sauce, and crisp apples on sourdough. The sandwich came with a cilantro pasta (tri-color rotini). Very simple but absolutely delicious. A perfect healthy lunch compared to some of the traditional Chi-town lunches (Italian Beef, Hot Dogs, Fries, etc.) I am used to. Everything was super fresh and the service was extremely friendly. Their home-brew ice tea (flavored with jasmine or lavender, I cannot recall) was fresh and refreshing (naturally sweet without any added sugar). A slight "crunchy granola" vibe to the place but, when it's not pretentious, that doesn't bug me in the least. Here, the vibe was healthy but also very open and welcoming. I would definitely return here for another lunch on a beautiful SoCal day!
Ambiance is super cute, easy to order and nice menu with plenty of options. Food was good but simple. Glad I went once but probably won't go there too often as it was nothing super special. Might take friends here from out of town!
The patio is great. The lox benedict was amazing. Puppies everywhere! Loved it.
Lost all respect for this place when I realized that I was eating powdered eggs for $12. Nice ambiance, poor quality.
I came here a lot when I visited Del Mar. The chunky munky shake is awesome. The breakfasts are awesome. The cakes are awesome. Shout out to the staff for telling me it's ok to eat cake for breakfast. Love y'all
The food is top notch and have delicious choice drinks that compliment the entrees. Greg is a salt of the earth person and he really cares about his customers. Keep up the good work Greg!
I love this charming little breakfast spot. Excellent fresh made fruit smoothies, too. A block from the beach.
Right around the corner in my neighborhood, great lunch place with friends.
Great, friendly staff in a neighborhood beachy/jungle setting with outdoors seating. Great for breakfast with scrambles, baked goods and breakfast burritos.
Wonderful hidden jewel for breakfast and lunch with fresh tea
Cute, hidden cafe with outdoor only seating. Very casual. Lots of selection for breakfast & brunch. Good portion sizes.
Really nice spot in Del Mar. Service is friendly and the patio is casual and pleasant (they only have outdoor seating), relaxing atmosphere. They have a small selection of wine and beer. Bagels are good but overpriced!
Love the atmosphere!!! Dog friendly and great prices, this is a great place for weekend brunch.
Great ambiance, sandwiches. Breakfast is good as well.
Great food, pleasant environment, wonderful people. What more could you want?
Love this restaurant, one of the very few authentic Del Mar restaurants left. Great sandwiches, bagels and burritos (a little whitewashed, but hey).
A great, cozy alternative to the upscale places on the main street.
The food was good and fresh. Nice ladies working there. A bit pricey.
Go here. It's currently my favorite place in California. It feels like Nantucket if you know it.
Breakfast $$, expected more, lox bagel super salty, breakfast veggie croissant didnt have much flavor, service okay, location good.
Really big menu. I only had a couple of Lattes and water due to fasting.
Lovely secluded peaceful garden.
Good ambience of shrubs, flowers, trees, some bamboo and the ocean nearby. Would have given 5 stars...but some of the people behind the counter are not so friendly. Nice place once you get past that.
Really cool and chill backyard vibe.
However there's no waiter you need to go up to the house to order, which isn't a problem at all but there's no sign at all which is a bit confusing for newcomers.
Really nice place for breakfast...beautiful patio...great food AND coffee !
Great secluded outdoor patio where you can bring your dog. Excellent waffles, pastries, coffee and tea.
Cute quiet spot to have some breakfast or coffee. The peachy keen smoothie and chocolate oat bar were killer. Great little place and wonderful staff.
Cute cafe with outdoor seating. Service was great, even on a busy Saturday afternoon. You place your order at the counter and they bring it out to you.
I ordered the Vermonster, a turkey and cheddar sandwich. Who wouldn't want this with a name like that, it sounded amazing. However, it was very basic... and at $10+ it's way too pricey for what you get.
The croissant sandwich was good and our chosen side of fruit was fresh and plentiful. The coffee was good also.
It's probably a great place for a light breakfast or maybe just coffee or mimosas.
All outdoor seating. Dog friendly. Order and pick a table, they bring your food to you. We had breakfast and coffee for two, total bill was $38.88 including tip. We had the Acai bowl, Monterey Scramble, a mocha and a regular coffee. The coffee and mocha were good. The scramble was hot and tasty, but very simple, no extra seasoning or flavors. Beans and green chili straight out of cans along with the bacon and eggs. The Acai smoothie was tasty, and the granola as well. The banana and strawberries were fresh, but the blueberries were frozen and it's blueberry season, so that was a disappointment. The place feels quaint although it is showing a great deal of wear and age. Patio is surrounded by bamboo and tree foliage and adorned with lots of flower pots. Beauty abounds. Overall an enjoyable experience!
The food is so fresh and delicious and the outdoor seating are is beautiful! Highly recommend their chicken curry sandwich!
Nice sandwich/deli place with coffees, teas and health Smoothies. The small garden is where the customers eat and it's great for Sunday brunches. The wraps are fantastic as well as their soup and protein Smoothies. Would definitely recommend it. Price wise: $$/$$$$$
Great service. Great patio.. Great food. Great people. GO
One of the best breakfast places in Del Mar! I've visited here each time I pass through town and it's a beautiful spot. Great food, fast and friendly service, plus a gorgeous patio with sounds of the ocean! They're also dog friendly which I LOVE!
Casual, and dog friendly. Great food with healthy options and great coffee.
What a little gem -- terrific and varied choices of breakfast burritos or bagels and sandwiches. Two small drawbacks: only outdoor seating (so don't come on a rainy day!) and no on-site parking so find a street parking spot and walk in.
Wonderful Waffles and breakfast selections. Nice outdoor seating area, reminiscent of a cafe in a tropical destination. Service was great from the counter to the table, and I even received a helpful recommendation for a local yoga practice while in town. Will definitely be back when I visit the area again.
All outdoors. Fresh air, sunshine and good food; what more could you want?
Solid breakfast with very nice outdoor seating. Food is good, but portions are a bit modest for the prices. Breakfast sandwich and an orange juice for $18. Service is solid but better off making this meal at home... Mimosas on the menu, but no bottomless option means not a brunch spot for my crew.
Super awesome staff, great coffee and a very tasty Acai bowl!
Great food in an amazing setting. Dress warm if windy. No outdoor seating.
Great local hang out. Gets busy on the weekends, but worth the wait.
This is one of my favorite local spots in Del Mar. While the Veggie Scramble is my favorite (with Squaw toast), I ve never had a bad meal here. My other go-to items are the Monterrey Scramble, High Tide Burrito, and Chunky Monkey Smoothie. Service is super friendly and the outdoor environment is so calming. The weekends are busy because it s such a great place, so be sure to check it out midweek too.
For the same price you can get something better. Relaxed atmosphere, ok food, friendly service but bad coffee.
Healthy options, delish sandwiches, lovely staff. Sat by the waterfall and it's so soothing
Loved this Cafe. It's a little off the beaten path which gives it a really nice cozy atmosphere. Food and drink was wonderful.
Great food and ambience. Dog friendly. Parking a bit of a problem.
First time at this restaurant... best kept secret in Del Mar and the breakfast was superb!
One of the best breakfast & lunch places in North County! The place has the feel of a secluded backyard garden. The ambience merely adds to the experience of tasty food, drinks, and fresh baked goods (they have a fantastic gluten free brownie). I highly recommend this cafe!
A bit of a hideaway. Enjoyed the setting, but the food left much to be desired.
Always my favorite brunch! Acai bar and tea au lait are to die for
Amazing brunch spot. Bring your four legged friends!
Pet Friendly. Outdoor seating on a nice wooden deck in the shade.
Hidden gem in Del Mar for a cup of coffee and a light lunch
Great patio seating (no inside seating) with plenty of shade. Enjoyed one of their breakfast burritos - very tasty. Coffee is also very good. Order at counter and self-serve coffee. Great place for a casual meal.
Overpriced and often full the quality of the food here has seen a sharp drop over the past 10yrs.
Nice little cafe for breakfast - view of the ocean.
Tasted good but got food poisoning there! Skip it and go to Denny s
Re-hydrated eggs? Seriously? Why did I pay 14 dollars for this? Coffee is lame and weak. Space is cramped and poorly managed. Gross
Fun little cafe, hidden in the trees. Get the Lumpy Muffin, heaven on a plate. Yum.
Food was good. Excited to bring our dogs in. Place was nice, seating is only outside. Cold but yummy drinks warm me up.
Good food, great environment, nice staff, quick service
The food was great, but......
We showed up, no sign saying wait to be seated or anything, so we took a seat. A guy, I believe the owner, looked at us a few times, never said anything.
Finally I asked him if we would get served, he said, "you need to go inside to order", he walked us in, and pointed out the specials, then walked off. A gal was there making coffee, and for a long time, she ignored us as she continued to make coffee, not even an acknowledgement. The first rule of customer service, LET YOUR CUSTOMERS KNOW YOU SEE THEM, AND WILL HELP THEM AS SOON AS YOU CAN!!! After a long wait, she finally started yelling to the guy to help at the register. After he took some more food out to other customers, he finally yelled in, "I'll be right there", he took some more food out, then came back and took our order.
We went back out and waited for the food, and all was great from that point on. The food was great, had the breakfast panini, she had the preaches and cream waffle.
I think if you are a local, you will get much better service.
This is by far the greatest place for breakfast! My wife and I came for a work conference. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant and it was literally half the size of the plate with a mound of hashbrowns! It was awesome and would go back every time we are in the area!
Great place to sit and relax with friends and family or solo for a California Toast, and coffee! I loved it! Friendly staff, clean environment.
Great breakfast spot...kind of hidden too. Good Coffee & quick breakfast eats. I had the Monterrey Scramble. Very good...looking forward to coming back
A very good restaurant, it has a perfect view. Great ambience! and delicious reasonably priced food! Wonderful customer service.
Went hiking at Torrey Pines, then came here for a quick bite to eat and recharge. Man this was a great decision! The staff is super friendly and the owner is cool as hell. I recommend stopping in here if you're in town, hell even if you're a local!
Hands down, best waffles in Sam Diego. Excellent service as well; Greg really goes above and beyond to make sure your meal is enjoyable.
This is a charming little spot with incredibly mediocre, overpriced food. The coffee was tasty, the view was pleasant, but I was entirely underwhelmed with the overall experience.
