Looks like the place has been there for a while and could do with a little upgrade. Nonetheless, service was fine, drinks were good and price-quality is fine.

Relax here. Good selection of specialty beers on tap too.

Sat here last weekend. Looked full and cozy and so assuming it was good.

But that went wrong when ordering the drinks, a glass of water was not intended according to the waitress and drinks that were not available were not named, so that some ended up with something else than ordered. Upon inquiry it turned out that they did not have it and therefore had chosen something else.

The mains that arrived were severely below par. Burgers were not flavored and the vegan burger turned out not to be vegan after all. When asked whether it was really vegan because it had been added with mayonnaise, only a 'no, ma'am, he is not vegan' while it was clearly indicated on the menu that it was a vegan burger.
Due to the lack of fresh lettuce, the salad that was ordered could be returned completely. The "daily fresh lettuce" served with the dishes was slimy or withered.

Another waitress was able to help us with a glass of water at the end. She only forgot to ask if the rest wanted something to drink and she did not inquire about a possible dessert.

Furthermore, nice and seated. Great place to have a beer. But we will never get there again.

In the evening on a terrace that had more service than guests, it took 15 minutes before the drinks were served. The ladies and gentleman of the ministry were too busy talking about anything and everything. Moreover, the bill was quite high: almost 8 for a normal beer, a radler and a small glass of tap water.

Went to this beach restaurant/club for a small dinner with friends. It was very hot during the day. We all ordered different things, in my case a carpaccio. First everyone else got served their food, but they forgot the carpaccio. Then when it finally arrived, it was so frozen you could iceskate on it. When telling this to the server, he took it with him then brought it back 5 min later. Without saying a word. I did not finish it but people in my group did.. When explaining the issue to the owner, she mentioned it was perfect. No mam, it was frozen. Her reaction; yes we serve them at the perfect temperature for this kind of weather. Are you kidding me?! Do not go here! Service is shit, food is terrible, made with no love for cooking.

Always good food and a nice view over the water. It is a pity that you always have to park paid, even if you only want to drink a cup of coffee.

Excellent parking ( 6 for a day of parking). The service is friendly and the food is delicious. Highly recommended if you want to relax on the beach for a day.

Every time I come to castricum to visit my family. this is a must go place everytime.i love cycling to castricum and Zee to have a nice Broot met Kroketten in sea beach pavilion. Very tasty leker and nice view to the sea. I love it.

Very busy and chaotic and took a long time before we could have an order taken. Ok food, pancake was disappointing. Thick hunk of flour and fat.

Nice place, nice and efficient service. No English menu is surprising in such a place. Portions of fish rather tasting. And the taste is rather average. In addition, my portion was bitter, as if someone was cutting a gallbladder while making a fish. Very good caramel coffee with real thick whipped cream.

What a wonderful place to relax after a long walk on the beach. Good, tasty and cozy.

First they say that they don't have a certain Belgian beer and then see it being served at another table five minutes later, hmmmmm. Previously had top staff.

Very nice service. Good atmosphere. I don't need music.

Normally we are helped well with sea view, but today everything goes wrong. After three quarters of an hour the main course is brought, but they are forgotten on the starter. This is still brought fifteen minutes later. Then the main course is also forgotten and after questions it is still prepared. So some food becomes an evening-filling program. To make matters worse, the hare satay is also mourning. So no success.

Good bouncer, only that withered lettuce doesn't have to be that way for me. Just leave out those frills.

In good weather a lovely place for a drink or lunch.

Excellent food, excellent service. Very good menu and a very interesting menu until March 2019. 3 courses 25 euros. Well worth the money.

Cozy beach pavilion at Castricum aan Zee, is open all year round, excellent menu, nice staff, outside you sit out of the wind behind glass, so even in the winter it is great to stay, highly recommended !!
